1. हे स्वामियों, अपने अपने दासों के साथ न्याय और ठीक ठीक व्यवहार करो, यह समझकर कि स्वर्ग में तुम्हारा भी एक स्वामी है।।
व्यवस्थाविवरण 10:17, 2 इतिहास 19:7

1. Ye masters do unto your servants that which is just and egal,(equal) remembering(seeing ye know) that ye have also a master in heaven.

2. प्रार्थना में लगे रहो, और धन्यवाद के साथ उस में जागृत रहो।

2. Continue in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving,

3. और इस के साथ ही साथ हमारे लिये भी प्रार्थना करते रहो, कि परमेश्वर हमारे लिये वचन सुनाने का ऐसा द्वार खोल दे, कि हम मसीह के उस भेद का वर्णन कर सकें जिस के कारण मैं कैद में हूं।

3. praying also for us that God open unto us the door of utterance, that we may speak the mystery of Christ (wherefore I am also in bonds)

4. और उसे ऐसा प्रगट करूं, जैसा मुझे करना उचित है।

4. that I may utter it, as it becometh me to speak.

5. अवसर को बहुमूल्य समझकर बाहरवालों के साथ बुद्धिमानी से बर्ताव करो।

5. Walk wisely to(toward) them that are without, and redeem the time.

6. तुम्हारा वचन सदा अनुग्रह सहित और सलोना हो, कि तुम्हें हर मनुष्य को उचित रीति से उत्तर देना आ जाए।

6. Let your speech alway have favour with it(be always well savoured) and be salted,(powdered with salt) that ye may know how to answer every man.

7. प्रिय भाई और विश्वासयोग्य सेवक, तुखिकुस जो प्रभु में मेरा सहकर्मी है, मेरी सब बातें तुम्हें बता देगा।

7. The dear brother Tichicos shall tell you of all my business, which is a faithful minister, and fellow servant in the Lord,

8. उसे मैं ने इसलिये तुम्हारे पास भेजा है, कि तुम्हें हमारी दशा मालूम हो जाए और वह तुम्हारे हृदयों को शान्ति दे।

8. whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know how ye do, and might comfort your hearts,

9. और उसके साथ उनेसिमुस को भी भेजा है जो विश्वासयोग्य और प्रिय भाई और तुम ही में से है, ये तुम्हें यहां की सारी बातें बता देंगे।।

9. with one Onesimus a faithful, and a beloved brother, which is one of you. They shall shew you of all things which are a doing here.

10. अरिस्तर्खुस जो मेरे साथ कैदी है, और मरकुस जो बरनबा का भाई लगता है। (जिस के विषय में तुम ने आज्ञा पाई थी कि यदि वह तुम्हारे पास आए, तो उस से अच्छी तरह व्यवहार करना।)

10. Aristarchus my prison fellow saluteth you; And Marcus Barnabas' sister's son: touching whom, ye received commandments. If he come unto you receive him:

11. और यीशु जो यूस्तुस कहलाता है, तुम्हें नमस्कार कहते हैं। खतना किए हुए लोगों में से केवल ये ही परमेश्वर के राज्य के लिये मेरे सहकर्मी और मेरी शान्ति का कारण रहे हैं।

11. and Jesus which is called Justus, which are of the circumcision. These only are my workfellows unto(helpers in) the kingdom of God, which were unto my consolation.

12. इपफ्रास जो तुम में से है, और मसीह यीशु का दास है, तुम से नमस्कार कहता है और सदा तुम्हारे लिये प्रार्थनाओं में प्रयत्न करता है, ताकि तुम सिद्ध होकर पूर्ण विश्वास के साथ परमेश्वर की इच्छा पर स्थिर रहो।

12. Epaphras the servant of Christ, which is one of you, saluteth you, and always laboureth fervently for you in prayers that ye may stand perfect, and full in all that is the will of God.

13. मैं उसका गवाह हूं, कि वह तुम्हारे लिये और लौदीकिया और हियरापुलिसवालों के लिये बड़ा यत्न करता रहता है।

13. I bear him record that he hath a fervent mind toward(for) you, and toward(for) them of(at) Laodicia and them of Hierapolis.

14. प्रिय वैद्य लूका और देमास का तुम्हें नमस्कार।

14. Dear Lucas the physician greeteth(saluteth) you, and Demas.

15. लौदीकिया के भाइयों को और तुमफास और उन के घर की कलीसिया को नमस्कार कहना।

15. Salute the brethren which are of Laodicia, and salute Nymphas, and the congregation which is in his house.

16. और जब यह पत्रा तुम्हारे यहां पढ़ लिया जाए, तो ऐसा करना कि लौदीकिया की कलीसिया में भी पढ़ा जाए, और वह पत्रा जो लौदीकिया से आए उसे तुम भी पढ़ना।

16. And when the pistel is read of you, make that it be read in the congregation of the Laodicians also: and that ye likewise read the pistel of Laodicia.

17. फिर अर्खिप्पुस से कहना कि जो सेवा प्रभु में तुझे सौंपी गई है, उसे सावधानी के साथ पूरी करना।।

17. And say to Archippus: Take heed to thine(the) office that thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.

18. मुझ पौलुस का अपने हाथ से लिखा हुआ नमस्कार। मेरी जंजीरों को स्मरण रखना; तुम पर अनुग्रह होता रहे। आमीन।।
