1. फिर जब तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे उस देश में जिसके अधिकारी होने को तू जाने पर है पहुंचाए, और तेरे साम्हने से हित्ती, गिर्गाशी, एमोरी, कनानी, परिज्जी, हिव्वी, और यबूसी नाम, बहुत सी जातियों को अर्थात् तुम से बड़ी और सामर्थी सातों जातियों को निकाल दे,
प्रेरितों के काम 13:19

1. Whanne thi Lord God hath lad thee in to the lond, in to which thou schalt entre to welde, and hath do awey many folkis bifor thee, Ethei, and Gergesei, and Ammorrey, Canenei, and Pherezei, Euey, and Jebusei; seuene folkis, of myche gretter noumbre than thou art, and strengere than thou;

2. और तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा उन्हें तेरे द्वारा हरा दे, और तू उन पर जय प्राप्त कर ले; तब उन्हें पूरी रीति से नष्ट कर डालना; उन से न वाचा बान्धना, और न उन पर दया करना।

2. and thi Lord God hath bitake hem to thee, thou schalt smyte hem `til to deeth, thou schalt not make `with hem a boond of pees, nether thou schalt haue merci on hem,

3. और न उन से ब्याह शादी करना, न तो उनकी बेटी को अपने बेटे के लिये ब्याह लेना।

3. nether thou schalt felowschipe mariagis with him; thou schalt not yyue thi douyter to the sone `of hym, nether thou schalt take his douytir to thi sone;

4. क्योंकि वे तेरे बेटे को मेरे पीछे चलने से बहकाएंगी, और दूसरे देवताओं की उपासना करवाएंगी; और इस कारण यहोवा का कोप तुम पर भड़क उठेगा, और वह तुझ को शीघ्र सत्यानाश कर डालेगा।

4. for sche schal disceyue thi sone, that he sue not me, and that he serue more alien goddis; and the strong veniaunce of the Lord schal be wrooth, and schal do awei thee soone.

5. उन लोगों से ऐसा बर्ताव करना, कि उनकी वेदियों को ढा देना, उनकी लाठों को तोड़ डालना, उनकी अशेरा नाम मूर्त्तियों को काट काटकर गिरा देना, और उनकी खुदी हुई मूत्तियों को आग में जला देना।

5. But rather thou schalt do these thingis to hem; destrie ye the auteris `of hem, and breke ye ymagis `of metal, and kitte ye doun wodis, and brenne ye grauun ymagis.

6. क्योंकि तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की पवित्रा प्रजा है; यहोवा ने पृथ्वी भर के सब देशों के लोगों में से तुझ को चुन लिया है कि तू उसकी प्रजा और निज धन ठहरे।

6. For thou art an hooli puple to thi Lord God; thi Lord God chees thee, that thou be a special puple to hym, of alle puplis that ben on erthe.

7. यहोवा ने जो तुम से स्नेह करके तुम को चुन लिया, इसका कारण यह नहीं था कि तुम गिनती में और सब देशों के लोगों से अधिक थे, किन्तु तुम तो सब देशों के लोगों से गिनती में थोड़े थे;

7. Not for ye ouercamen in noumbre alle folkis, the Lord is ioyned to you, and chees yow, sithen ye ben fewere than alle puplis;

8. यहोवा ने जो तुम को बलवन्त हाथ के द्वारा दासत्व के घर में से, और मि के राजा फिरौन के हाथ से छुड़ाकर निकाल लाया, इसका यही करण है कि वह तुम से प्रेम रखता है, और उस शपथ को भी पूरी करना चाहता है जो उस ने तुम्हारे पूर्वजों से खाई थी।

8. but for the Lord louede you, and kepte the ooth which he swoor to youre fadris; and he ledde you out in strong hond, and ayen bouyte you fro the hows of seruage, fro `the hows of Farao, kyng of Egipt.

9. इसलिये जान रख कि तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा ही परमेश्वर है, वह विश्वासयोग्य ईश्वर है; और जो उस से प्रेम रखते और उसकी आज्ञाएं मानते हैं उनके साथ वह हजार पीढ़ी तक अपनी वाचा पालता, और उन पर करूणा करता रहता है;

9. And thou schalt wite, that thi Lord God hym silf is a strong God, and feithful, and kepith couenaunt and mersi to hem that louen hym, and to hem that kepen hise comaundementis, in to a thousynde generaciouns;

10. और जो उस से बैर रखते हैं वह उनके देखते उन से बदला लेकर नष्ट कर डालता है; अपने बैरी के विषय में विलम्ब न करेगा, उसके देखते ही उस से बदला लेगा।

10. and yeldith anoon to hem that haten hym, so that he destrie hem, and differr no lengere; restorynge anoon to hem that that thei disseruen.

11. इसलिये इन आज्ञाओं, विधियों, और नियमों को, जो मैं आज तुझे चिताता हूं, मानने में चौकसी करना।।

11. Therfor kepe thou the comaundementis, and cerymonyes, and domes, whiche Y comaunde to thee to dai, that thou do.

12. और तुम जो इन नियमों को सुनकर मानोगे और इन पर चलोगे, तो तेरा परमेश्र यहोवा भी करूणामय वाचा को पालेगा जिसे उस ने तेरे पूर्वजों से शपथ खाकर बान्धी थी;

12. If aftir that thou herist these domes, thou kepist, and doist tho, thi Lord God schal kepe to thee couenaunt, and mersi, which he swoor to thi fadris.

13. और वह तुझ से प्रेम रखेगा, और तुझे आशीष देगा, और गिनती में बढ़ाएगा; और जो देश उस ने तेरे पूर्वजों से शपथ खाकर तुझे देने को कहा है उस में वह तेरी सन्तान पर, और अन्न, नये दाखमधु, और टटके तेल आदि, भूमि की उपज पर आशीष दिया करेगा, और तेरी गाय- बैल और भेड़- बकरियों की बढ़ती करेगा।

13. And he schal loue thee, and schal multiplie thee, and he schal blesse the fruyt of thi wombe, and the fruyt of thi lond, thi wheete, and vindage, oile, and droues of beestis, and the flockis of thi scheep, on the lond for which he swoor to thi fadris, that he schulde yyue it to thee.

14. तू सब देशों के लोगों से अधिक धन्य होगा; तेरे बीच में न पुरूष न स्त्री निर्वंश होगी, और तेरे पशुओं में भी ऐसा कोई न होगा।

14. Thou schalt be blessid among alle puplis; noon bareyn of euer eithir kynde schal be at thee, as well in men, as in thi flockis.

15. और यहोवा तुझ से सब प्रकार के रोग दूर करेगा; और मि की बुरी बुरी व्याधियां जिन्हें तू जानता है उन में से किसी को भी तुझे लगने न देगा, ये सब तेरे बैरियों ही को लगेंगे।

15. The Lord schal do awei fro thee all ache, `ether sorewe; and he schal not brynge to thee the worste siknessis of Egipt, whiche thou knewist, but to alle thin enemyes.

16. और देश देश के जितने लोगों को तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तेरे वश में कर देगा, तू उन सभों को सत्यानाश करना; उन पर तरस की दृष्टि न करना, और न उनके देवताओं की उपासना करना, नहीं तो तू फन्दे में फंस जाएगा।

16. And thou schalt `deuoure, that is, distrie, alle puplis, whiche thi Lord God schal yyue to thee; thin iye schal not spare hem, nethir thou schalt serue the goddis `of hem, lest thei ben in to the fallyng of thee.

17. यदि तू अपने मन में सोचे, कि वे जातियां जो मुझ से अधिक हैं; तो मैं उनको क्योंकर देश से निकाल सकूंगा?

17. If thou seist in thin herte, These folkis ben mo than Y, hou may Y do awei hem?

18. तौभी उन से न डरना, जो कुछ तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने फिरौन से और सारे मि से किया उसे भली भांति स्मरण रखना।

18. `nyle thou drede, but haue thou mynde, what thingis thi Lord God dide to Farao, and alle Egipcians;

19. जो बड़े बड़े परीक्षा के काम तू ने अपनी आंखों से देखे, और जिन चिन्हों, और चमत्कारों, और जिस बलवन्त हाथ, और बढ़ाई हुई भुजा के द्वारा तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझ को निकाल लाया, उनके अनुसार तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा उन सब लोगों से भी जिन से तू डरता है करेगा।

19. `he dide the gretteste veniaunces, whiche thin iyen sien, and miraclis and grete wondris, and the strong hond, and arm `holdun forth, that thi Lord God schulde lede thee out; so he schal do to alle puplis whiche thou dredist.

20. इस से अधिक तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा उनके बीच बर्रे भी भेजेगा, यहां तक कि उन में से जो बचकर छिप जाएंगे वे भी तेरे साम्हने से नाश हो जाएंगे।

20. Ferthermore and thi Lord God schal sende venemouse flies in to hem, til he do awei, and destrye alle men, that fledden thee, and thei schulen not mowe be hid.

21. उस से भय न खाना; क्योंकि तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तेरे बीच में है, और वह महान् और भय योग्य ईश्वर है।

21. Thou schalt not drede hem, for thi Lord is in the myddis of thee, grete God, and ferdful.

22. तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा उन जातियों को तेरे आगे से धीरे धीरे निकाल देगा; तो तू एक दम से उनका अन्त न कर सकेगा, नहीं तो बनैले पशु बढ़कर तेरी हानि करेंगे।

22. He hym silf schal waste these naciouns in thi siyt, litil and litil, and bi partis; thou schalt not mow do awey `tho naciouns togidere, lest peraventure beestis of erthe be multiplied ayens thee;

23. तौभी तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा उनको तुझ से हरवा देगा, और जब तक वे सत्यानाश न हो जाएं तब तक उनको अति व्याकुल करता रहेगा।

23. and thi Lord God schal yyue hem in thi siyt, and he schal sle hem, til thei be doon awey outerly.

24. और वह उनके राजाओं को तेरे हाथ में करेगा, और तू उनका भी नाम धरती पर से मिटा डालेगा; उन में से कोई भी तेरे साम्हने खड़ा न रह सकेगा, और अन्त में तू उन्हें सत्यानाश कर डालेगा।

24. And he schal bitake the kyngis `of hem in to thin hondis, and thou schalt destrie the names `of hem vndur heuene; noon schal mow ayenstonde thee, til thou al to-breke hem.

25. उनके देवताओं की खुदी हुई मूर्त्तियां तुम आग में जला देना; जो चांदी वा सोना उन पर मढ़ा हो उसका लालच करके न ले लेना, नहीं तो तू उसके कारण फन्दे में फंसेगा; क्योंकि ऐसी वस्तुएं तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा की दृष्टि में घृणित हैं।

25. Thou schalt brenne in fier the grauun ymagis `of hem; thou schalt not coueite the siluer and gold, of whiche tho ymagis ben maad, nether thou schalt take of tho ony thing to thee, lest thou offende therfor, for it is abhominacioun of thi Lord God.

26. और कोई घृणित वस्तु अपने घर में न ले आना, नहीं तो तू भी उसके समान नष्ट हो जाने की वस्तु ठहरेगा; उसे सत्यानाश की वस्तु जानकर उस से घृणा करना और उसे कदापि न चाहना; क्योंकि वह अशुद्ध वस्तु है।

26. Nether thou schalt brynge ony thing of the idol in to thin hous, lest thou be maad cursid, as also that idol is; thou schalt wlate it as filthe, and thou schalt haue it as defoulyng, and filthis of abhomynacioun, for it is cursid.
