1. और भोर होते ही तुरन्त महायाकों, पुरनियों, और शास्त्रियों ने वरन सारी महासभा ने सलाह करके यीशु को बन्धवाया, और उसे ले जाकर पीलातुस के हाथ सौंप दिया।

1. And right away in the morning the chief priests with the elders and scribes, and the whole Sanhedrin, held a consultation, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him up to Pilate.

2. और पीलातुस ने उस से पूछा, क्या तू यहूदियों का राजा है? उस ने उस को उत्तर दिया; कि तू आप ही कह रहा है।

2. And Pilate asked him, Are you the King of the Jews? And answering he says to him, You say.

3. और महायाजक उस पर बहुत बातों का दोष लगा रहे थे।

3. And the chief priests accused him of many things.

4. पीलातुस ने उस से फिर पूछा, क्या तू कुछ उत्तर नहीं देता, देख ये तुझ पर कितनी बातों का दोष लगाते हैं?

4. And Pilate again asked him, saying, Do you answer nothing? Look how many things they accuse you of.

5. यीशु ने फिर कुछ उत्तर नहीं दिया; यहां तक कि पीलातुस को बड़ा आश्चर्य हुआ।।

5. But Jesus no more answered anything; insomuch that Pilate marveled.

6. और वह उस पर्व्व में किसी एक बन्धुए को जिसे वे चाहते थे, उन के लिये छोड़ दिया करता था।

6. Now at the feast he used to release to them one prisoner, whom they asked of him.

7. और बरअब्बा नाम एक मनुष्य उन बलवाइयों के साथ बन्धुआ था, जिन्हों ने बलवे में हत्या की थी।

7. And there was one called Barabbas, [lying] bound with those who had made insurrection, men who in the insurrection had committed murder.

8. और भीड़ ऊपर जाकर उस से बिनती करने लगी, कि जैसा तू हमारे लिये करता आया है वैसा ही कर।

8. And the multitude went up and began to ask him [to do] as he usually did for them.

9. पीलातुस ने उन को यह उत्तर दिया, क्या तुम चाहते हो, कि मैं तुम्हारे लिये यहूदियों के राजा को छोड़ दूं?

9. And Pilate answered them, saying, Do you+ want that I release to you+ the King of the Jews?

10. क्योंकि वह जानता था, कि महायाजकों ने उसे डाह से पकड़वाया था।

10. For he perceived that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.

11. परन्तु महायाजकों ने लोगों को उभारा, कि वह बरअब्बा ही को उन के लिये छोड़ दे।

11. But the chief priests stirred up the multitude, that he should rather release Barabbas to them.

12. यह सून पीलातुस ने उन से फिर पूछा; तो जिसे तुम यहूदियों का राजा कहते हो, उस को मैं क्या करूं? वे फिर चिल्लाए, कि उसे क्रूस पर चढ़ा दे।

12. And Pilate again answered and said to them, Then what do you+ want me to do [with him] whom you+ call the King of the Jews?

13. पीलातुस ने उन से कहा; क्यों, इस ने क्या बुराई की है?

13. And they cried out again, Crucify him.

14. परन्तु वे और भी चिल्लाए, कि उसे क्रूस पर चढ़ा दे।

14. And Pilate said to them, Why, what evil has he done? But they cried out exceedingly, Crucify him.

15. तक पीलातुस ने भीड़ को प्रसन्न करने की इच्छा से, बरअब्बा को उन के लिये छोड़ दिया, और यीशु को कोड़े लगवाकर सौंप दिया, कि क्रूस पर चढ़ाया जाए।

15. And Pilate, wishing to content the multitude, released to them Barabbas, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

16. और सिपाही उसे किले के भीतर आंगत में ले गए जो प्रीटोरियुन कहलाता है, और सारी पलटन को बुला लाए।

16. And the soldiers led him away inside the court, which is the Praetorium; and they call together the whole battalion.

17. और उन्हों ने उसे बैंजनी वस्त्रा पहिनाया और कांटों का मुकुट गूंथकर उसके सिर पर रखा।

17. And they clothe him with purple, and platting a crown of thorns, they put it on him;

18. और यह कहकर उसे नमस्कार करने लगे, कि हे यहूदियों के राजा, नमस्कार!

18. and they began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!

19. और वे उसके सिर पर सरकण्डे मारते, और उस पर थूकते, और घुटने टेककर उसे प्रणाम करते रहे।

19. And they struck his head with a reed, and spat on him, and bowing their knees worshiped him.

20. और जब वे उसका ठट्ठा कर चुके, तो उस पर बैंजनी वस्त्रा उतारकर उसी के कपड़े पहिनाए; और तब उसे क्रूस पर चढ़ाने के लिये बाहर ले गए।

20. And when they had mocked him, they took off from him the purple, and put on him his garments. And they lead him out to crucify him.

21. और सिकन्दर और रूफुस का पिता, शमौन नाम एक कुरेनी मनुष्य, जो गांव से आ रहा था उधर से निकला; उन्हों ने उसे बेगार में पकड़ा, कि उसका क्रूस उठा ले चले।

21. And they compel one passing by, Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to go [with them], that he might bear his cross.

22. और वे उसे गुलगुता नाम जगह पर जिस का अर्थ खोपड़ी की जगह है लाए।

22. And they bring him to the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.

23. और उसे मुर्र मिला हुआ दाखरस देने लगे, परन्तु उस ने नहीं लिया।

23. And they offered him wine mingled with myrrh: but he did not receive it.

24. तब उन्हों ने उस को क्रूस पर चढ़ाया, और उसके कपड़ों पर चिटि्ठयां डालकर, कि किस को क्या मिले, उन्हें बांट लिया।

24. And they crucify him, and part his garments among them, casting lots on them, what each should take.

25. And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.

26. And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

27. और उन्हों ने उसके साथ दो डाकू, एक उस की दहिनी और एक उस की बाईं ओर क्रूस पर चढ़ाए।

27. And with him they crucify two robbers; one on his right and one on his left.

28. तब धर्मशास्त्रा का वह वचन कि वह अपराधियों के संग गिना गया पूरा हुआ।

29. And those who passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ha! You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days,

30. save yourself, and come down from the cross.

31. आपस में ठट्ठे से कहते थे; कि इस ने औरों को बचाया, और अपने को नहीं बचा सकता।

31. In like manner also the chief priests mocking [him] among themselves with the scribes said, He saved others; himself he can't save.

32. इस्राएल का राजा मसीह अब क्रूस पर से उतर आए कि हम देखकर विश्वास करें: और जो उसके साथ क्रूसों पर चढ़ाए गए थे, वे भी उस की निन्दा करते थे।।

32. Let the Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, that we may see and believe. And those who were crucified with him reproached him.

33. और दोपहर होने पर, सारे देश में अन्धियारा छा गया; और तीसरे पहर तक रहा।

33. And when the sixth hour came, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

34. तीसरे पहर यीशु ने बड़े शब्द से पुकार कर कहा, इलोई, इलोई, लमा शबक्तनी? जिस का अर्थ है; हे मेरे परमेश्वर, हे मेरे परमेश्वर, तू ने मुझे क्यों छोड़ दिया?

34. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani? Which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

35. जो पास खड़े थे, उन में से कितनों ने यह सुनकर कहा: देखो यह एलिरयाह को पुकारता है।

35. And some of those who stood by, when they heard it, said, Look, he calls Elijah.

36. और एक ने दौड़कर इस्पंज को सिरके से डुबोया, और सरकण्डे पर रखकर उसे चुसाया; और कहा, ठहर जाओ, देखें, कि एलिरयाह उसे उतारने कि लिये आता है कि नहीं।

36. And one ran, and filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let [him] be; let us see whether Elijah comes to take him down.

37. तब यीशु ने बड़े शब्द से चिल्लाकर प्राण छोड़ दिये।

37. And Jesus uttered a loud voice, and breathed his last.

38. और मन्दिर का पर्दा ऊपर से नीचे तक फटकर दो टुकड़े हो गया।

38. And the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom.

39. जो सूबेदार उसके सम्हने खड़ा था, जब उसे यूं चिल्लाकर प्राण छोड़ते हुए देखा, तो उस ने कहा, सचमुच यह मनुष्य, परमेश्वर का पुत्रा था।

39. And when the captain, who stood by across from him, saw that he so breathed his last, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

40. कई स्त्रियां भी दूर से देख रही थीं: उन में मरियम मगदलीनी और छोटे याकूब की और योसेस की माता मरियम और शलोमी थीं।

40. And there were also women watching from far: among whom [were] both Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

41. जब वह गलील में थ, तो ये उसके पीछे हो लेती थीं और उस की सेवाटहल किया करती थीं; और और भी बहुत सी स्त्रियां थीं, जो उसके साथ यरूशलेम में आई थीं।।

41. who, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and were serving him; and many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.

42. जब संध्या हो गई, तो इसलिये कि तैयारी का दिन था, जो सब्त के एक दिन पहिले होता है।

42. And when evening was now come, because it was the Preparation, that is, the day before the Sabbath,

43. अरिमितिया का रहेनवाला यूसुुफ आया, जो प्रतिष्ठित मंत्री और आप भी परमेश्वर के राज्य की बाट जोहता था; वह हियाव करके पीलातुस के पास गया और यीशु की लोथ मांगी।

43. there came Joseph of Arimathaea, a councilor of honorable estate, who also himself was looking for the kingdom of God; and he boldly went in to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.

44. पीलातुस ने आश्चर्य किया, कि वह इतना शीघ्र मर गया; और सूबेदार को बुलाकर पूछा, कि क्या उस को मरे हुए देर हुई?

44. And Pilate marveled if he were already dead: and calling to him the captain, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

45. सो जब सूबेदार के द्वारा हाल जान लिया, तो लोथ यूसुफ को दिला दी।

45. And when he learned it of the captain, he granted the corpse to Joseph.

46. तब उस ने एक पतली चादर मोल ली, और लोथ को उतारकर चादर में लपेटा, और एक कब्र मे जो चट्टान में खोदी गई थी रखा, और कब्र के द्वार पर एक पत्थर लुढ़कार दिया।

46. And he bought a linen cloth, and taking him down, wound him in the linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb which had been cut out of a rock; and he rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.

47. और मरियम मगदलीनी और योसेस की माता मरियम देख रही थीं, कि वह कहां रखा गया है।।

47. And Mary Magdalene and Mary the [mother] of Joses looked at where he was laid.
