1. फिर वह दृष्टान्त में उन से बातें करने लगा: कि किसी मनुष्य ने दाख की बारी लगाई, और उसके चारों ओर बाड़ा बान्धा, और रस का कुंड खोदा, और गुम्मट बनाया; और किसानों को उसका ठीका देकर परदेश चला गया।
यशायाह 5:1-7

1. And he began to speak to them in parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set up a hedge, and dug a winevat, and built a tower, and leased it to farmers, and went on a journey.

2. फिर फल के मौसम में उस ने किसानों के पास एक दास को भेजा कि किसान से दाख की बारी के फलों का भाग ले।

2. And at the season he sent forth a bondman to the farmers, so that he might receive by the farmers from the fruit of the vineyard.

3. पर उन्हों ने उसे पकड़कर पीटा और छूछे हाथ लौटा दिया।
यहोशू 22:5

3. And having seized him, they beat him, and sent him away empty.

4. फिर उस ने एक और दास को उन के पास भेजा और उन्हों ने उसका सिर फोड़ डाला और उसका अपमान किया।

4. And again he sent another bondman to them. And that man, having stoned, they wounded in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated.

5. फिर उस ने एक और को भेजा, और उन्हों ने उसे मार डाला: तब उस ने और बहुतों को भेजा: उन में से उन्हों ने कितनो को पीटा, और कितनों को मार डाला।

5. And again he sent another, and that man they killed, and many others, beating some, and killing some.

6. अब एक ही रह गया था, जो उसका प्रिय पुत्रा था; अन्त में उस ने उसे भी उन के पास यह सोचकर भेजा कि वे मेरे पुत्रा का आदर करेंगे।

6. Therefore, still having his one beloved son, he also sent him to them, last, saying, They will be made ashamed by my son.

7. पर उन किसानों ने आपस में कहा; यही तो वारिस है; आओ, हम उसे मार डालें, तब मीरास हमारी हो जाएगी।

7. But those farmers said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.

8. और उन्हों ने उसे पकड़कर मार डाला, और दाख की बारी के बाहर फेंक दिया।

8. And having taken him, they killed him, and cast him outside of the vineyard.

9. इसलिये दाख की बारी का स्वामी क्या करेगा? वह आकर उन किसानों को नाश करेगा, और दाख की बारी औरों को दे देगा।

9. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.

10. क्या तुम ने पवित्रा शास्त्रा में यह वचन नहीं पढ़ा, कि जिस पत्थर को राजमिस्त्रायों ने निकम्मा ठहराया था, वही कोने का सिरा हो गया?

10. And have ye not read this scripture: The stone that those who build rejected, this came to be into the head of the corner.

11. This happened from Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes?

12. तब उन्हों ने उसे पकड़ना चाहा; क्योंकि समझ गए थे, कि उस ने हमारे विरोध में यह दृष्टान्त कहा है: पर वे लोगों से डरे; और उसे छोड़ कर चले गए।।

12. And they sought to seize him. And they feared the multitude, for they knew that he spoke the parable against them. And having left him, they went away.

13. तब उन्हों ने उसे बातों में फंसाने के लिये कई एक फरीसियों और हेरोदियों को उसके पास भेजा।

13. And they send some of the Pharisees and of the Herodians to him, so that they might catch him in talk.

14. और उन्हों ने आकर उस से कहा; हे गुरू, हम जानते हैं, कि तू सच्चा है, और किसी की परवा नहीं करता; क्योंकि तू मनुष्यों का मुंह देख कर बातें नहीं करता, परन्तु परमेश्वर का मार्ग सच्चाई से बताता है।

14. And when they came, they say to him, Teacher, we have seen that thou are true, and it is not a care to thee about any man, for thou look not to a personage of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it permitted to give tribute to Caesar or not?

15. तो क्या कैसा को कर देना उचित है, कि नहीं? हम दें, या न दें? उस ने उन का कपट जानकर उन से कहा; मुझे क्यों परखते हो? एक दीनार मेरे पास लाओ, कि मैं देखूं।

15. Should we give, or should we not give? But Jesus, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, Why do ye test me? Bring me a denarius, so that I may see it.

16. वे ले आए, और उस ने उन से कहा; यह मूर्ति और नाम किस का है? उन्हों ने कहा, कैसर का।

16. And they brought it. And he says to them, Whose is this image and inscription? And they said to him, Caesar's.

17. यीशु ने उन से कहा; जो कैसर का है वह कैसर को, और जो परमेश्वर का है परमेश्वर को दो: तब वे उस पर बहुत अचम्भा करने लगे।।

17. And having answered, Jesus said to them, Render the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God. And they marveled at him.

18. फिर सदूकियों ने भी, जो कहते हैं कि मरे हुओं का जी उठना है ही नहीं, उसके पास आकर उसे पूछा।

18. And Sadducees come to him, who say there is no resurrection. And they questioned him, saying,

19. कि हे गुरू, मूसा ने हमारे लिये लिखा है, कि यदि किसी का भाई बिना सन्तान मर जाए, और उस की पत्नी रह जाए, तो उसका भाई उस की पत्नी को ब्याह ले और अपने भाई के लिये वंश उत्पन्न करे : सात भाई थे।

19. Teacher, Moses wrote to us, If a man's brother dies, and leaves behind a wife, and leaves no child, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.

20. पहिला भाई ब्याह करके बिना सन्तान मर गया।

20. There were seven brothers. And the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.

21. तब दूसरे भाई ने उस स्त्री को ब्याह लिया और बिना सन्तान मर गया; और वैसे ही तीसरे ने भी।

21. And the second took her, and died, neither did he leave seed behind, and the third likewise.

22. और सातों से सन्तान न हुई: सब के पीछे वह स्त्री भी मर गई।

22. And the seven took her, and left no seed. Last of all the woman also died.

23. सो जी उठने पर वह उन में से किस की पत्नी होगी? क्योंकि वह सातों की पत्नी हो चुकी थी।

23. In the resurrection when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as wife.

24. यीशु ने उन से कहा; क्या तुम इस कारण से भूल में नहीं पड़े हो, कि तुम न तो पवित्रा शास्त्रा ही को जानते हो, और न परमेश्वर की सामर्थ को।

24. And having answered, Jesus said to them, Are ye not led astray because of this: not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God?

25. क्योंकि जब वे मरे हुओं में से जी उठेंगे, तो उन में ब्याह शादी न होगी; पर स्वर्ग में दूतों की नाई होंगे।

25. For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as agents in the heavens.

26. मरे हुओं के जी उठने के विषय में क्या तुम ने मूसा की पुस्तक में झाड़ी की कथा में नही पढ़ा, कि परमेश्वर ने उस से कहा, मैं इब्राहीम का परमेश्वर, और इसहाक का परमेश्वर, और याकूब का परमेश्वर हूं?

26. But about the dead, that they rise, have ye not read in the book of Moses, how God spoke to him at the bush, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

27. परमेश्वर मरे हुओं का नहीं, वरन जीवतों का परमेश्वर है: सो तुम बड़ी भूल में पड़े हो।।

27. He is not the God of the dead, but God of the living. Ye therefore are much misled.

28. और शास्त्रियों में से एक ने आकर उन्हें विवाद करते सुना, और यह जानकर कि उस ने उन्हें अच्छी रीति से उत्तर दिया; उस से पूछा, सब से मुख्य आज्ञा कौन सी है?

28. And one of the scholars having come, having heard them disputing, knowing that he had answered them well, he questioned him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29. यीशु ने उसे उत्तर दिया, सब आज्ञाओं में से यह मुख्य है; हे इस्राएल सुन; प्रभु हमारा परमेश्वर एक ही प्रभु है।

29. And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, thou Israel, Lord our God is one Lord,

30. और तू प्रभु अपने परमेश्वर से अपने सारे मन से और अपने सारे प्राण से, और अपनी सारी बुद्धि से, और अपनी सारी शक्ति से प्रेम रखना।
यहोशू 22:5

30. and thou shall love Lord thy God from thy whole heart, and from thy whole soul, and from thy whole mind, and from thy whole strength. This is the first commandment.

31. और दूसरी यह है, कि तू अपने पड़ोसी से अपने समान प्रेम रखना: इस से बड़ी और कोई आज्ञा नहीं।

31. And this second is similar, Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

32. शास्त्री ने उस से कहा; हे गुरू, बहुत ठीक! तू ने सच कहा, कि वह एक ही है, और उसे छोड़ और कोई नहीं।

32. And the scholar said to him, Well, teacher. Thou spoke in truth that he is one, and there is no other but he.

33. And to love him from the whole heart, and from the whole understanding, and from the whole soul, and from the whole strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices.

34. जब यीशु ने देखा कि उस ने समझ से उत्तर दिया, तो उस से कहा; तू परमेश्वर के राज्य से दूर नहीं: और किसी को फिर उस से कुछ पूछने का साहस न हुआ।।

34. And when Jesus saw him, that he answered wisely, he said to him, Thou are not far from the kingdom of God. And no man dared to question him any more.

35. फिर यीशु ने मन्दिर में उपदेश करते हुए यह कहा, कि शास्त्री क्योंकर कहते हैं, कि मसीह दाऊद का पुत्रा है?

35. And having responded as he taught in the temple, Jesus said, How do the scholars say that the Christ is the son of David?

36. दाऊद ने आपही पवित्रा आत्मा में होकर कहा है, कि प्रभु ने मेरे प्रभु से कहा; मेरे दाहिने बैठ, जब तक कि मैं तेरे बैरियों को तेरे पांवों की पीढ़ी न कर दूं।

36. For David himself said by Holy Spirit, The Lord says to my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I may place thine enemies a footstool of thy feet.

37. दाऊद तो आप ही उसे प्रभु कहता है, फिर वह उसका पुत्रा कहां से ठहरा? और भीड़ के लोग उस की आनन्द से सुनते थे।।

37. David himself therefore calls him Lord, and in what way is he his son? And the great multitude heard him gladly.

38. उस ने अपने उपदेश में उन से कहा, शस्त्रियों से चौकस रहो, जो लम्बे वस्त्रा पहिने हुए फिरना।

38. And in his teaching he said to them, Look away from the scholars, those who desire to go about in long robes, and salutations in the marketplaces,

39. और बाजारों में नमस्कार, और आराधनालयों में मुख्य मुख्य आसन और जेवनारों में मुख्य मुख्य स्थान भी चाहते हैं।

39. and chief seats in the synagogues, and places of honor at the feasts,

40. वे विधवाओं के घरों को खा जाते हैं, और दिखाने के लिये बड़ी देर तक प्रार्थना करते रहते हैं, ये अधिक दण्ड पाएंगे।।

40. those who devour widows' houses, and praying long in pretence. These will receive greater condemnation.

41. और वह मन्दिर के भण्डार के साम्हने बैठकर देख रहा था, कि लोग मन्दिर के भण्डार में किस प्रकार पैसे डालते हैं, और बहुत धनवानों ने बहुत कुछ डाला।
2 राजाओं 12:9

41. And having sat down opposite the treasury, Jesus watched how the multitude cast money into the treasury, and many rich men cast in much.

42. इतने में एक कंगाल विधवा ने आकर दो दमड़ियां, जो एक अधेले के बराबर होती है, डाली।

42. And one poor widow having come, she cast in two mites, which are a quadrans.

43. तब उस ने अपने चेलों को पास बुलाकर उन से कहा; मैं तुम से सच कहता हूं, कि मन्दिर के भण्डार में डालने वालों में से इस कंगाल विधवा ने सब से बढ़कर डाला है।

43. And having summoned his disciples, he says to them, Truly I say to you, that this poor widow cast in more than all those who are casting into the treasury.

44. क्योंकि सब ने अपने धन की बढ़ती में से डाला है, परन्तु इस ने अपनी घटी में से जो कुछ उसका था, अर्थात् अपनी सारी जीविका डाल दी है।

44. For they all cast in from that which is abundant to them, but she from her need cast in all, as many things she had, her whole living.
