1. सब्त के दिन के बाद सप्ताह के पहिले दिन पह फटते ही मरियम मगदलीनी और दूसरी मरियम कब्र को देखने आई।

1. After the Sabbath, as the first light of the new week dawned, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to keep vigil at the tomb.

2. और देखो एक बड़ा भुईंडोल हुआ, क्योंकि प्रभु का एक दूत स्वर्ग से उतरा, और पास आकर उसने पत्थर को लुढ़का दिया, और उस पर बैठ गया।

2. Suddenly the earth reeled and rocked under their feet as God's angel came down from heaven, came right up to where they were standing. He rolled back the stone and then sat on it.

3. उसका रूप बिजली का सा और उसका वस्त्रा पाले की नाई उज्ज्वल था।

3. Shafts of lightning blazed from him. His garments shimmered snow-white.

4. उसके भय से पहरूए कांप उठे, और मृतक समान हो गए।

4. The guards at the tomb were scared to death. They were so frightened, they couldn't move.

5. स्वर्गदूत ने स्त्रियों से कहा, कि तुम मत डरो : मै जानता हूँ कि तुम यीशु को जो क्रुस पर चढ़ाया गया था ढूंढ़ती हो।

5. The angel spoke to the women: 'There is nothing to fear here. I know you're looking for Jesus, the One they nailed to the cross.

6. वह यहाँ नहीं है, परन्तु अपने वचन के अनुसार जी उठा है; आओ, यह स्थान देखो, जहाँ प्रभु पड़ा था।

6. He is not here. He was raised, just as he said. Come and look at the place where he was placed.

7. और शीघ्र जाकर उसके चेलों से कहो, कि वह मृतकों में से जी उठा है; और देखो वह तुम से पहिले गलील को जाता है, वहाँ उसका दर्शन पाओगे, देखो, मैं ने तुम से कह दिया।

7. 'Now, get on your way quickly and tell his disciples, 'He is risen from the dead. He is going on ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there.' That's the message.'

8. और वे भय और बड़े आनन्द के साथ कब्र से शीघ्र लौटकर उसके चेलों को समाचार देने के लिये दौड़ गई।

8. The women, deep in wonder and full of joy, lost no time in leaving the tomb. They ran to tell the disciples.

9. और देखो, यीशु उन्हें मिला और कहा; `सलाम' और उन्हों ने पास आकर और उसके पाँव पकड़कर उसको दणडवत किया।

9. Then Jesus met them, stopping them in their tracks. 'Good morning!' he said. They fell to their knees, embraced his feet, and worshiped him.

10. तब यीशु ने उन से कहा, मत डरो; मेरे भाईयों से जाकर कहो, कि गलील को चलें जाएं वहाँ मुझे देखेंगे।।

10. Jesus said, 'You're holding on to me for dear life! Don't be frightened like that. Go tell my brothers that they are to go to Galilee, and that I'll meet them there.'

11. वे जा ही रही थी, कि देखो, पहरूओं में से कितनों ने नगर में आकर पूरा हाल महायाजकों से कह सुनाया।

11. Meanwhile, the guards had scattered, but a few of them went into the city and told the high priests everything that had happened.

12. तब उन्हों ने पुरनियों के साथ इकट्ठे होकर सम्मति की, और सिपाहियों को बहुत चान्दी देकर कहा।

12. They called a meeting of the religious leaders and came up with a plan: They took a large sum of money and gave it to the soldiers,

13. कि यह कहना, कि रात को जब हम सो रहे थे, तो उसके चेले आकर उसे चुरा ले गए।

13. bribing them to say, 'His disciples came in the night and stole the body while we were sleeping.'

14. और यदि यह बात हाकिम के कान तक पहुंचेगी, तो हम उसे समझा लेंगे और तुम्हें जोखिम से बचा लेंगे।

14. They assured them, 'If the governor hears about your sleeping on duty, we will make sure you don't get blamed.'

15. सो उन्हों ने रूपए लेकर जैसा सिखाए गए थे, वैसा ही किया; और यह बात आज तक यहूदियों में प्रचलित है।।

15. The soldiers took the bribe and did as they were told. That story, cooked up in the Jewish High Council, is still going around.

16. और ग्यारह चेले गलील में उस पहाड़ पर गए, जिसे यीशु ने उन्हें बताया था।

16. Meanwhile, the eleven disciples were on their way to Galilee, headed for the mountain Jesus had set for their reunion.

17. और उन्हों ने उसके दर्शन पाकर उसे प्रणाम किया, पर किसी किसी को सन्देह हुआ।

17. The moment they saw him they worshiped him. Some, though, held back, not sure about worship, about risking themselves totally.

18. यीशु ने उन के पास आकर कहा, कि स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी का सारा अधिकार मुझे दिया गया है।

18. Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: 'God authorized and commanded me to commission you:

19. इसलिये तुम जाकर सब जातियों के लोगों को चेला बनाओ और उन्हें पिता और पुत्रा और पवित्राआत्मा के नाम से बपतिस्मा दो।

19. Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

20. और उन्हें सब बातें जो मैं ने तुम्हें आज्ञा दी है, मानना सिखाओ: और देखो, मैं जगत के अन्त तक सदैव तुम्हारे संग हूं।।

20. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.'
