1. तब यरूशलेम से कितने फरीसी और शास्त्री यीशु के पास आकर कहने लगे।

1. Then was brought to him one possessed with a demon, blind and mute: and he healed him, insomuch that the mute man spoke and saw.

2. तेरे चेले पुरनियों की रीतों को क्यों टालते हैं, कि बिना हाथ धोए रोटी खाते हैं?

2. And all the multitudes were amazed, and said, Can this be the son of David?

3. उस ने उन को उत्तर दिया, कि तुम भी अपनी रीतों के कारण क्यों परमेश्वर की आज्ञा टालते हो?

3. But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This man does not cast out demons, but by Beelzebul the prince of the demons.

4. क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने कहा था, कि अपने पिता और अपनी माता का आदर करना: और जो कोई पिता या माता को बुरा कहे, वह मार डाला जाए।

4. And knowing their thoughts he said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself will not stand:

5. पर तुम कहते हो, कि यदि कोई अपने पिता या माता से कहे, कि जो कुछ तुझे मुझ से लाभ पहुंच सकता था, वह परमेश्वर को भेंट चढ़ाई जा चुकी।

5. and if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand?

6. तो वह अपने पिता का आदर न करे, सो तुम ने अपनी रीतों के कारण परमेश्वर का वचन टाल दिया।

6. And if I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your+ sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your+ judges.

7. हे कपटियों, यशायाह ने तुम्हारे विषय में यह भविष्यद्वाणी ठीक की।

7. But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you+.

8. कि ये लोग होठों से तो मेरा आदर करते हैं, पर उन का मन मुझ से दूर रहता है।
यशायाह 29:13

8. Or how can one enter into the house of the strong [man], and spoil his goods, except he first binds the strong [man]? And then he will spoil his house.

9. और ये व्यर्थ मेरी उपासना करते हैं, क्योंकि मनुष्य की विधियों को धर्मोपदेश करके सिखाते हैं।
यशायाह 29:13

9. He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters.

10. और उस ने लोगों को अपने पास बुलाकर उन से कहा, सुनो; और समझो।

10. Therefore I say to you+, Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven to men; but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

11. जो मुंह में जाता है, वह मनुष्य को अशुद्ध नहीं करता, पर जो मुंह से निकलता है, वही मनुष्य को अशुद्ध करता है।

11. And whoever will speak a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever will speak against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, neither in this age, nor in that which is to come.

12. तब चेलों ने आकर उस से कहा, क्या तू जानता है कि फरीसियों ने यह वचन सुनकर ठोकर खाई?

12. But the unclean spirit, when he has gone out of the man, passes through waterless places, seeking rest, and does not find it.

13. उस ने उत्तर दिया, हर पौधा जो मेरे स्वर्गीय पिता ने नहीं लगाया, उखाड़ा जाएगा।

13. Then he says, I will return into my house from where I came out; and when he has come, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished.

14. उन को जाने दो; वे अन्धे मार्ग दिखानेवाले हैं: और अन्धा यदि अन्धे को मार्ग दिखाए, तो दोनों गड़हे में गिर पड़ेंगे।

14. Then he goes, and takes with himself seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first.

15. यह सुनकर, पतरस ने उस से कहा, यह दृष्टान्त हमें समझा दे।

15. Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.

16. उस ने कहा, क्या तुम भी अब तक ना समझ हो?

16. But he answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.

17. क्या नहीं समझते, कि जो कुछ मुंह में जाता, वह पेट में पड़ता है, और सण्डास में निकल जाता है?

17. The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and look, a greater than Jonah is here.

18. पर जो कुछ मुंह से निकलता है, वह मन से निकलता है, और वही मनुष्य को अशुद्ध करता है।

18. The queen of the south will rise up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and look, a greater than Solomon is here.

19. क्योंकि कुचिन्ता, हत्या, परस्त्रीगमन, व्यभिचार, चोरी, झूठी गवाही और निन्दा मन ही से निकलती है।

19. Now as he spoke, a Pharisee asks him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.

20. यही हैं जो मनुष्य को अशुद्ध करती हैं, परन्तु हाथ बिना धोए भोजन करना मनुष्य को अशुद्ध नहीं करता।।

20. And when the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that he had not first bathed himself before dinner.

21. यीशु वहां से निकलकर, सूर और सैदा के देशों की ओर चला गया।

21. And the Lord said to him, Now you+ Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but inside you+ are full from extortion and lack of self-control.

22. और देखो, उस देश से एक कनानी स्त्री निकली, और चिल्लाकर कहने लगी; हे प्रभु दाऊद के सन्तान, मुझ पर दया कर, मेरी बेटी को दुष्टात्मा बहुत सता रहा है।

22. You blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup, that its outside may become clean also.

23. पर उस ने उसे कुछ उत्तर न दिया, और उसके चेलों ने आकर उस से बिनती कर कहा; इसे विदा कर; क्योंकि वह हमारे पीछे चिल्लाती आती है।

23. Woe to you+ Pharisees! For you+ tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: but these you+ ought to have done, and not to have left the other undone.

24. उस ने उत्तर दिया, कि इस्राएल के घराने की खोई हुई भेड़ों को छोड़ मैं किसी के पास नहीं भेजा गया।

24. Woe to you+ Pharisees! For you+ love the chief seats in the synagogues, and the salutations in the marketplaces.

25. पर वह आई, और उसे प्रणाम करके कहने लगी; हे प्रभु, मेरी सहायता कर।
यहोशू 5:14-15

25. Woe to you+! For you+ are as the tombs which do not appear, and the men who walk over [them] do not know it.

26. उस ने उत्तर दिया, कि लड़कों की रोटी लेकर कुत्तों के आगे डालना अच्छा नहीं।

26. And one of the lawyers answering says to him, Teacher, in saying this you reproach us also.

27. उस ने कहा, सत्य है प्रभु; पर कुत्ते भी वह चूरचार खाते हैं, जो उन के स्वामियों की मेज से गिरते हैं।

27. And he said, Woe to you+ lawyers also! For you+ bind loads that are heavy and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but you+ yourselves will not move them with one of your+ fingers.

28. इस पर यीशु ने उस को उत्तर देकर कहा, कि हे स्त्री, तेरा विश्वास बड़ा है: जैसा तू चाहती है, तेरे लिये वैसा ही हो; और उस की बेटी उसी घड़ी चंगी हो गई।।

28. Woe to you+! For you+ build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the tombs of the righteous,

29. यीशु वहां से चलकर, गलील की झील के पास आया, और पहाड़ पर चढ़कर वहां बैठ गया।

29. and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partners with them in the blood of the prophets.

30. और भीड़ पर भीड़ लंगड़ों, अन्धों, गूंगों, टुंड़ों, और बहुत औरों को लेकर उसके पास आए; और उन्हें उसके पांवों पर डाल दिया, और उस ने उन्हें चंगा किया।

30. Therefore you+ witness to yourselves, that you+ are sons of those who slew the prophets.

31. सो जब लोगों ने देखा, कि गूंगे बोलते और टुण्डे चंगे होते और लंगड़े चलते और अन्धे देखते हैं, तो अचम्भा करके इस्राएल के परमेश्वर की बड़ाई की।।
यशायाह 52:14

31. You+ fill up then the measure of your+ fathers.

32. यीशु ने अपने चेलों को बुलाकर कहा, मुझे इस भीड़ पर तरस आता है; क्योंकि वे तीन दिन से मेरे साथ हैं और उन के पास कुछ खाने को नहींं; और मैं उन्हें भूखा विदा करना नहीं चाहता; कहीं ऐसा न हो कि मार्ग में थककर रह जाएं।

32. Therefore, look, I send to you+ prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them you+ will kill and persecute:

33. चेलों ने उस से कहा, हमें जंगल में कहां से इतनी रोटी मिलेगी कि हम इतनी बड़ी भीड़ को तृप्त करें?

33. that on you+ may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous to the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, who perished between the sanctuary and the altar.

34. यीशु ने उन से पूछा, तुम्हारे पास कितनी रोटियां हैं? उन्हों ने कहा; सात और थोड़ी सी छोटी मछलियां।

34. Truly I say to you+, All these things will come upon this generation.

35. तब उस ने लोगों को भूमि पर बैठने की आज्ञा दी।

35. And when he came out from there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to press on [him] vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things;

36. और उन सात रोटियों और मछलियों को ले धन्यवाद करके तोड़ा और अपने चेलों को देता गया; और चेले लोगों को।

36. laying wait for him, to catch something out of his mouth.

37. सो सब खाकर तृप्त हो गए और बचे हुए टुकड़ों से भरे हुए सात टोकरे उठाए।

37. In the mean time, when the multitude was gathered together, he began to say to his disciples first of all,

38. और खानेवाले स्त्रियों और बालकों को छोड़ चार हजार पुरूष थे।

38. Don't fear them: for there is nothing covered, that will not be revealed; and hid, that will not be known.

39. तब वह भीड़ को विदा करके नाव पर चढ़ गया, और मगदन देश के सिवानों में आया।।

39. What I tell you+ in the darkness, speak+ in the light; and what you+ hear in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
