1. उस समय चौथाई देश के राजा हेरोदेस ने यीशु की चर्चा सुनी।

1. At that tyme Herode ye Tetrarcha herde of ye fame of Iesu,

2. और अपने सेवकों से कहा, यह यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देनेवाला है: वह मरे हुओं में से जी उठा है, इसी लिये उस से सामर्थ के काम प्रगट होते हैं।

2. & sayde vnto his seruautes: This is Iho ye baptist. He is rysen agayne fro the deed, therfore are his dedes so mightie.

3. क्योंकि हेरोदेस ने अपने भाई फिलिप्पुस की पत्नी हेरोदियास के कारण, यूहन्ना को पकड़कर बान्धा, और जेलखाने में डाल दिया था।

3. For Herode had take Iho bounde hi, & put him in preson for Herodias sake his brothers Philips wife.

4. क्योंकि यूहन्ना ने उस से कहा था, कि इस को रखना तुझे उचित नहीं है।
लैव्यव्यवस्था 18:16, लैव्यव्यवस्था 20:21

4. For Ihon sayde vnto him: It is not laufull for ye to haue her.

5. और वह उसे मार डालना चाहता था, पर लोगों से डरता था, क्योंकि वे उसे भविष्यद्वक्ता जानते थे।

5. And fayne wolde he haue put him to death, but he feared the people, because they helde him for a Prophet.

6. पर जब हेरोदेस का जन्म दिन आया, तो हेरोदियास की बेटी ने उत्सव में नाच दिखाकर हेरोदेस को खुश किया।

6. But whan Herode helde his byrth daye, the doughter of Herodias daunsed before the, and that pleased Herode well,

7. इसलिये उस ने शपथ खाकर वचन दिया, कि जो कुछ तू मांगेगी, मैं तुझे दूंगा।

7. wherfore he promysed her with an ooth, yt he wolde geue her, what soeuer she wolde axe.

8. वह अपनी माता की उस्काई हुई बोली, यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देनेवाले का सिर थाल में यहीं मुझे मंगवा दे।

8. And she (beynge instructe of hir mother afore) sayde: geue me Ihon baptistes heade in a platter.

9. राजा दुखित हुआ, पर अपनी शपथ के, और साथ बैठनेवालों के कारण, आज्ञा दी, कि दे दिया जाए।

9. And the kynge was sory. Neuertheles for ye ooth sake, & the yt sat with him at ye table, he comaunded it to be geuen her,

10. और जेलखाने में लोगों को भेजकर यूहन्ना का सिर कटवा दिया।

10. and sent, & beheeded Ihon in the preson.

11. और उसका सिर थाल में लाया गया, और लड़की को दिया गया; और वह उस को अपनी मां के पास ले गई।

11. And his heed was brought in a platter, and geuen to the damsell, & she brought it vnto her mother.

12. और उसके चेलों ने आकर और उस की लोथ को ले जाकर गाढ़ दिया और जाकर यीशु को समाचार दिया।।

12. Then came his disciples, and toke his body, and buried it, and wente and tolde Iesus.

13. जब यीशु ने यह सुना, तो नाव पर चढ़कर वहां से किसी सुनसान जगह एकान्त में चला गया; और लोग यह सुनकर नगर नगर से पैदल उसके पीछे हो लिए।

13. Whan Iesus hetde yt, he departed thence by shippe in to a desert place alone. And wha the people herde therof, they folowed him on fote out of ye cities.

14. उस ने निकलकर बड़ी भीड़ देखी; और उन पर तरस खाया; और उस ने उन के बीमारों को चंगा किया।

14. And Iesus wete forth, and sawe moch people, and had pytie vpon them, and healed their sicke.

15. जब सांझ हुई, तो उसके चेलों ने उसके पास आकर कहा; यह तो सुनसान जगह है और देर हो रही है, लोगों को विदा किया जाए कि वे बस्तियों में जाकर अपने लिये भोजन मोल लें।

15. But at euen his disciples came vnto him, & saide: This is a deserte place, and ye night falleth on: let ye people departe from the, that they maye go in to the townes, and bye them vytayles.

16. यीशु ने उन से कहा उन का जाना आवश्यक नहीं! तुम ही इन्हें खाने को दो।

16. But Iesus sayde vnto them: They nede not go awaye, geue ye the to eate.

17. उन्हों ने उस से कहा; यहां हमारे पास पांच रोटी और दो मछलियों को छोड़ और कुछ नहीं है।

17. The saide they vnto him: We haue here but fyue loaues and two fyshes.

18. उस ने कहा, उन को यहां मेरे पास ले आओ।

18. And he sayde: bringe the hither.

19. तब उस ने लोगों को घास पर बैठने को कहा, और उन पांच रोटियों और दो मछलियों को लिया; और स्वर्ग की ओर देखकर धन्यवाद किया और रोटियां तोड़ तोड़कर चेलों को दीं, और चेलों ने लोगों को।

19. And he comaunded ye people to syt downe vpon the grasse, and toke ye fyue loaues and two fisshes, and loked vp towarde heauen, and gaue thankes, and brake and gaue the loaues vnto the disciples, and the disciples gaue them to the people.

20. और सब खाकर तृप्त हो गए, और उन्हों ने बचे हुए टुकड़ों से भरी हुई बारह टोकरियां उठाई।

20. And they all ate, and were suffised. And they gathered vp of the broken meate that remayned ouer, twolue basskettes full.

21. और खानेवाले स्त्रियों और बालकों को छोड़कर पांच हजार पुरूषों के अटकल थे।।

21. And they yt ate, were aboute a fyue thousande men, besyde wemen and children.

22. और उस ने तुरन्त अपने चेलों को बरबस नाव पर चढ़ाया, कि वे उस से पहिले पार चले जाएं, जब तक कि वह लोगों को विदा करे।

22. And straight waye Iesus made his disciples to entre in to a shippe, & to go ouer before hi, tyll he had sent ye people awaye.

23. वह लोगों को विदा करके, प्रार्थना करने को अलग पहाड़ पर चढ़ गया; और सांझ को वहां अकेला था।

23. And whan he had sent the people awaye, he wete vp in to a mountayne alone, to make his prayer. And at euen he was there him self alone.

24. उस समय नाव झील के बीच लहरों से डगमगा रही थी, क्योंकि हवा साम्हने की थी।

24. And ye shippe was allready in ye myddest of the see, & was tost wt wawes, for the winde was cotrary.

25. और वह रात के चौथे पहर झील पर चलते हुए उन के पास आया।

25. But in ye fourth watch of ye night Iesus came vnto the, walkinge vpon the see.

26. चेले उस को झील पर चलते हुए देखकर घबरा गए! और कहने लगे, वह भूत है; और डार के मारे चिल्ला उठे।

26. And whan his disciples sawe him goinge vpon the see, they were afrayed, sayenge: It is some sprete, and cried out for feare.

27. यीशु ने तुरन्त उन से बातें की, और कहा; ढाढ़स बान्धो; मैं हूं; डरो मत।

27. But straight waye Iesus spake vnto them, and sayde: Be of good cheare, it is I, be not afrayed.

28. पतरस ने उस को उत्तर दिया, हे प्रभु, यदि तू ही है, तो मुझे अपने पास पानी पर चलकर आने की आज्ञा दे।

28. Peter answered him, & saide: LORDE, yf it be thou, byd me come vnto the vpon ye water.

29. उस ने कहा, आ: तब पतरस नाव पर से उतरकर यीशु के पास जाने को पानी पर चलने लगा।

29. And he sayde: come on yi waye. And Peter stepte out of the shippe, & wete vpon the water, to come vnto Iesus.

30. पर हवा को देखकर डर गया, और जब डूबने लगा, तो चिल्लाकर कहा; हे प्रभु, मुझे बचा।

30. But whan he sawe a mightie wynde, he was afrayed, & begane to synke, & cried, sayenge: LORDE, helpe me.

31. यीशु ने तुरन्त हाथ बढ़ाकर उसे थाम लिया, और उस से कहा, हे अल्प- विश्वासी, तू ने क्यों सन्देह किया?

31. And imediatly Iesus stretched forth his hande, & caught him, & sayde vnto him: O thou of litle faith, wherfore doutest thou?

32. जब वे नाव पर चढ़ गए, तो हवा थम गई।

32. And they wente in to the shippe, & the wynde ceased.

33. इस पर जो नाव पर थे, उन्हों ने उसे दण्डवत करके कहा; सचमुच तू परमेश्वर का पुत्रा है।।
यहोशू 5:14-15

33. Then they that were in ye shippe, came & fell downe before him, & sayde: Of a trueth thou art ye sonne of God.

34. वे पार उतरकर गन्नेसरत देश में पहुंचे।

34. And they shipped ouer, & came in to the lode of Genazereth.

35. और वहां के लोगों ने उसे पहचानकर आस पास के सारे देश में कहला भेजा, और सब बीमारों को उसके पास लाए।

35. And wha ye me of yt place had knowlege of hi, they sent out in to all that coutre rounde aboute, & brought vnto him all that were sicke,

36. और उस से बिनती करने लगे, कि वह उन्हें अपने वस्त्रा के आंचल ही को छूने दे: और जितनों ने उसे छूआ, वे चंगे हो गए।।

36. & besought him, that they might but touch the hemme of his vesture onely: & as many as touched it, were made whole.
