1. फिर सेनाओं के यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

1. And the word of Yahweh of hosts came, saying:

2. सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है: सिरयोन के लिये मुझे बड़ी जलन हुई वरन बहुत ही जलजलाहट मुझ में उत्पन्न हुई है।

2. Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, I am jealous for Zion with a great jealousy, Yea, with great wrath, am I jealous for her.

3. यहोवा यों कहता है, मैं सिरयोन में लौट आया हूं, और यरूशेलम के बीच में वास किए रहूंगा, और यरूशलेम की सच्चाई का नगर कहलाएगा, और सेनाओं के यहोवा का पर्वत, पवित्रा पर्वत कहलाएगा।

3. Thus, saith Yahweh, I have returned unto Zion, and will make my habitation in the midst of Jerusalem, and Jerusalem, shall be called, The city of fidelity, and the mountain of Yahweh of hosts, The mountain of holiness.

4. सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है, यरूशलेम के चौकों में फिर बूढ़े और बूढ़ियां बहुत आयु की होने के कारण, अपने अपने हाथ में लाठी लिए हुए बैठा करेंगी।

4. Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Yet shall old men and old women sit in the broadways of Jerusalem, Yea, each one with his staff in his hand for multitude of days:

5. और नगर में चौक खेलनेवाले लड़कों और लड़कियों से भरे रहेंगे।

5. And, the broadways of the city, shall be full of boys and girls, playing in the broadways thereof.

6. सेनाओं का याहोवा यों कहता है, चाहे उन दिनों में यह बात इन बचे हुओं की दृष्टि में अनोखी ठहरे, परन्तु क्या मेरी दृष्टि में भी यह अनोखी ठहरेगी, सेनाओं के यहोवा की यही वाणी है?

6. Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Because it will be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people, in those days, In mine own eyes also, shall it be marvellous? Demandeth Yahweh of hosts.

7. सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है, देखो, मैं अपनी प्रजा का उद्धार करके उसे पूरब से और पच्छिम से ले आऊंगा;

7. Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Behold me! saving my people out of the land of the dawn, and out of the land of the going in of the sun;

8. और मैं उन्हें ले आकर यरूशलेम के बीच में बसाऊंगा; और वे मेरी प्रजा ठहरेंगे और मैं उनका परमेश्वर ठहरूंगा, यह तो सच्चाई और धर्म के साथ होगा।।

8. And I will bring them in, and they shall have their habitation in the midst of Jerusalem, and shall become my people, and, I, will become their God, In faithfulness and in righteousness.

9. सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है, तुम इन दिनों में ये वचन उन भविष्यद्वक्ताओं के मुख से सुनते हो जो सेनाओं के यहोवा के भवन की नेव डालने के समय अर्थात् मन्दिर के बनने के समय में थे।

9. Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Let your hands be strong, ye who are hearing, in these days, these words, from the mouth of the prophets who, on the day the house of Yahweh of hosts, was founded, foretold that, the temple, should be built:

10. उन दिनों के पहिले, न तो मनुष्य की मजदूरी मिलती थी और न पशु का भाड़ा, वरन सतानेवालों के कारण न तो आनेवाले को चैन मिलता था और न जानेवाले को; क्योंकि मैं सब मनुष्यों से एक दूसरे पर चढ़ाई कराता था।

10. That, before those days, hire for man, could not be obtained, and, hire for beast, was there none, and, neither to him who went out nor to him who came in, was there success by reason of the danger, Yea I let all men loose, each one against his neighbour.

11. परन्तु अब मैं इस प्रजा के बचे हुओं से ऐसा बर्ताव न करूंगा जैसा कि अगले दिनों में करता था, सेनाओं के यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

11. But, now, not as in the former days, am I to this remnant of the people, Declareth Yahweh of hosts;

12. क्योंकि अब शान्ति के समय की उपज अर्थात् दाखलता फला करेंगी, पृथ्वी अपनी उपज उपजाया करेगी, और आकाश से ओस गिरा करेगी; क्योंकि मैं अपनी इस प्रजा के बचे हुओं को इन सब का अधिकारी कर दूंगा।

12. For, the seed, shall be secure the vine, shall yield her fruit, and the land, yield her increase, and the heavens, yield their dew, and I will cause this remnant of the people to inherit all these things.

13. और हे यहूदा के घराने, और इस्राएल के घराने, जिस प्रकार तुम अन्यजातियों के बीच शाप के कारण थे उसी प्रकार मैं तुम्हारा उद्धार करूंगा, और तुम आशीष के कारण होगे। इसलिये तुम मत डरो, और न तुम्हारे हाथ ढीले पड़ने पाएं।।

13. And it shall come to pass that Just as ye had become a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, So, will I save you, and ye shall become a blessing, Do not fear, let your hands, be strong.

14. क्योंकि सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है, जिस प्रकार जब तुम्हारे पुरखा मुझे रिस दिलाते थे, तब मैं ने उनकी हानि करने के लिये ठान लिया था और फिर न पछताया,

14. For, thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Just as I planned to bring calamity upon you, when your fathers provoked me, saith Yahweh of hosts, and I relented not,

15. उसी प्रकार मैं ने इन दिनों में यरूशलेम की और यहूदा के घराने की भलाई करने को ठाना है; इसलिये तुम मत डरो।

15. So, have I again planned, in these days, to do good unto Jerusalem, and unto the house of Judah, Do not fear!

16. जो जो काम तुम्हें करना चाहिये, वे ये हैं: एक दूसरे के साथ सत्य बोला करना, अपनी कचहरियों में सच्चाई का और मेलमिलाप की नीति का न्याय करना,

16. These, are the things which ye shall do: Speak ye the truth, every man with his neighbour, truth and the sentence of peace, pronounce ye in your gates;

17. और अपने अपने मन में एक दूसरे की हानि की कल्पना न करना, और झूठी शपथ से प्रीति न रखना, क्योंकि इन सब कामों से मैं धृणा करता हूं, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।।
1 कुरिन्थियों 13:5

17. And let, no man, devise, the injury of his neighbour, in your heart, and the oath of falsehood, do not love, for, all these, are things which I hate, declareth Yahweh.

18. फिर सेनाओं के यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

18. And the word of Yahweh of hosts came unto me, saying:

19. सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है: चौथे, पांचवें, सातवें और दसवें महीने में जो जो उपवास के दिन होते हैं, वे यहूदा के घराने के लिये हर्ष और आनन्द और उत्सव के पर्वों के दिन हो जाएगें; इसलिये अब तुम सच्चाई और मेलमिलाप से प्रीति रखो।।

19. Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts The fast of the fourth, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the eleventh, shall become to the house of Judah a gladness and a rejoicing, and pleasant appointed meetings, But, truth and peace, see that ye love.

20. सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है, ऐसा समय आनेवाला है कि देश देश के लोग और बहुत नगरों के रहनेवाले आएंगे।

20. Thus, saith Yahweh of hoses, It shall yet be that there shall come in peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities;

21. और एक नगर के रहनेवाले दूसरे नगर के रहनेवालों के पास जाकर कहेंगे, यहोवा से बिनती करने और सेनाओं के यहोवा को ढूंढ़ने के लिये चलो; मैं भी चलूंगा।

21. And the inhabitants of one city, shall go, unto them of another, saying, Let us be going on to pacify the face of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of hosts, I also, will go!

22. बहुत से देशों के वरन सामर्थी जातियों के लोग यरूशलेम में सेनाओं के यहोवा को ढूंढ़ने और यहोवा से बिनती करने के लिये आएंगे।

22. So shall enter many peoples, and strong nations, to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pacify the face of Yahweh.

23. सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है: उस दिनों में भांति भांति की भाषा बोलनेवाली सब जातियों में से दस मनुष्य, एक यहूदी पुरूष के वस्त्रा की छोर को यह कहकर पकड़ लेंगे, कि, हम तुम्हारे संग चलेंगे, क्योंकि हम ने सुना है कि परमेश्वर तुम्हारे साथ है।।
1 कुरिन्थियों 14:25

23. Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, In those days, it shall be that ten men out of all the tongues of the nations, shall take hold, yea take hold of the skirt of every one that is a Jew, saying We will go with you! For we have heard that , God, is with you.
