1. फिर उस ने मेरे कानों में ऊंचे शब्द से पुकारकर कहा, नगर के अधिकारियों को अपने अपने हाथ में नाश करने का हथियार लिए हुए निकट लाओ।

1. He cryed also with a loude voyce in mine eares, saying, The visitations of the citie draw neere, and euery man hath a weapon in his hande to destroy it.

2. इस पर छेपुरूष, उत्तर की ओर ऊपरी फाटक के मार्ग से अपने अपने हाथ में घात करने का हथियार लिए हुए आए; और उनके बीच सन का वस्त्रा पहिने, कमर में लिखने की दवात बान्धे हुए एक और पुरूष था; और वे सब भवन के भीतर जाकर पीतल की वेदी के पास खड़े हुए।

2. And beholde, sixe men came by the way of the hie gate, which lieth towarde the North, and euery man a weapon in his hande to destroy it: and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writers ynkhorne by his side, and they went in and stoode beside the brasen altar.

3. और इस्राएल के परमेश्वर का तेज करूबों पर से, जिनके ऊपर वह रहा करता था, भवन की डेवढ़ी पर उठ आया था; और उस ने उस सन के वस्त्रा पहिने हुए पुरूष को जो कमर में दवात बान्धे हुए था, पुकारा।

3. And the glorie of the God of Israel was gone vp from ye Cherub, whereupon he was and stoode on the doore of the house, and he called to the man clothed with linnen, which had the writers ynkhorne by his side.

4. और यहोवा ने उस से कहा, इस यरूशलेम नगर के भीतर इधर उधर जाकर जितने मनुष्य उन सब घृणित कामों के कारण जो उस में किए जाते हैं, सांसें भरते और दु:ख के मारे चिल्लाते हैं, उनके माथों पर चिन्ह कर दे।

4. And the Lord said vnto him, Goe through the middes of the citie, euen through the middes of Ierusalem and set a marke vpon the foreheads of them that mourne, and cry for all the abominations that be done in the middes thereof.

5. तब उस ने मेरे सुनते हुए दूसरों से कहा, नगर में उनके पीछे पीछे चलकर मारते जाओ; किसी पर दया न करना और न कोमलता से काम करना।

5. And to the other he said, that I might heare, Goe ye after him through the citie, and smite: let your eye spare none, neither haue pitie.

6. बूढ़े, युवा, कुंवारी, बालबच्चे, स्त्रियां, सब को मारकर नाश करो, परन्तु जिस किसी मनुष्य के माथे पर वह चिन्ह हो, उसके निकट न जाना। और मेरे पवित्रास्थान ही से आरम्भ करो। और उन्हों ने उन पुरनियों से आरम्भ किया जो भवन के साम्हने थे।

6. Destroy vtterly the old, and the yong, and the maides, and the children, and the women, but touch no man, vpon whome is the marke, and begin at my Sanctuarie. Then they began at the Ancient men, which were before the house.

7. फिर उस ने उन से कहा, भवन को अशुठ्ठ करो, और आंगनों को लोथों से भर दो। चलो, बाहर निकलो। तब वे निकलकर नगर में मारने लगे।

7. And he sayde vnto them, Defile the house, and fill the courtes with the slaine, then goe foorth: and they went out, and slewe them in the citie.

8. जब वे मार रहे थे, और मैं अकेला रह गया, तब मैं मुंह के बल गिरा और चिल्लाकर कहा, हाय प्रभु यहोवा ! क्या तू अपनी जलजलाहट यरूशलेम पर भड़काकर इस्राएल के सब बचे हुओं को भी नाश करेगा?

8. Nowe when they had slaine them, and I had escaped, I fell downe vpon my face, and cryed, saying, Ah Lord God, wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel, in powring out thy wrath vpon Ierusalem?

9. तब उस ने मुझ से कहा, इस्राएल और यहूदा के घरानों का अधर्म अत्यन्त ही अधिक है, यहां तक कि देश हत्या से और नगर अन्याय से भर गया है; क्योंकि वे कहते हें कि यहोवा ने पृथ्वी को त्याग दिया और यहोवा कुछ नहीं देखता।

9. Then saide he vnto me, The iniquitie of the house of Israel, and Iudah is exceeding great, so that the lande is full of blood, and the citie full of corrupt iudgement: for they say, The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and the Lord seeth vs not.

10. इसलिये उन पर दया न होगी, न मैं कोमलता करूंगा, वरन उनकी चाल उन्हीं के सिर लौटा दूंगा।

10. As touching me also, mine eye shall not spare them, neither will I haue pitie, but will recompence their wayes vpon their heades.

11. तब मैं ने क्या देखा, कि जो पुरूष सन का वस्त्रा पहिने हुए और कमर में दवात बान्धे था, उस ने यह कहकर समाचार दिया, जैसे तू ने आज्ञा दी, मैं ने वैसे ही किया है।

11. And beholde, the man clothed with linen which had the ynkhorne by his side, made report, and saide, Lord, I haue done as thou hast commanded me.
