1. हाय, अरीएल, अरीएल, हाय उस नगर पर जिस में दाऊद छावनी किए हुए रहा! वर्ष पर वर्ष जाड़ते जाओ, उत्सव के पर्व अपने अपने समय पर मनाते जाओ।

1. Woe, O Ariel, Ariel the city [where] David [once] camped! Add year to year, observe [your] feasts on schedule.

2. तौभी मैं तो अरीएल को सकेती में डालूंगा, वहां रोना पीटना रहेगा, और वह मेरी दृष्टि में सचमुच अरीएल सा ठहरेगा।

2. I will bring distress to Ariel, And she will be [a city of] lamenting and mourning; And she will be like an Ariel to me.

3. और मैं चारों ओर तेरे विरूद्ध छावनी करके तुझे कोटों से घेर लूंगा, और तेरे विरूद्ध गढ़ भी बनाऊंगा।

3. I will camp against you encircling [you], And I will set siegeworks against you, And I will raise up battle towers against you.

4. तब तू गिराकर भूमि में डाला जाएगा, और धूल पर से बोलेगा, और तेरी बात भूमि से धीमी धीमी सुनाई देगी; तेरा बोल भूमि पर से प्रेत का सा होगा, और तू धूल से गुनगुनाकर बोलेगा।।

4. Then you will be brought low; From the earth you will speak, And from the dust [where] you are prostrate Your words [will come]. Your voice will also be like that of a spirit from the ground, And your speech will whisper from the dust.

5. तब तेरे परदेशी बैरियों की भीड़ सूक्ष्म धूलि की नाईं, और उन भयानक लोागों की भीड़ भूसे की नाई उड़ाईं जाएगी।

5. But the multitude of your enemies will become like fine dust, And the multitude of the ruthless ones like the chaff which blows away; And it will happen instantly, suddenly.

6. और सेनाओं का यहोवा अचानक बादल गरजाता, भूमि को कम्पाता, और महाध्वनि करता, बवण्डर और आंधी चलाता, और नाश करनेवाली अग्नि भड़काता हुआ उसके पास आएगा।

6. From the LORD of hosts you will be punished with thunder and earthquake and loud noise, [With] whirlwind and tempest and the flame of a consuming fire.

7. और जातियों की सारी भीड़ जो अरीएल से युद्ध करेगी, ओर जितने लोग उसके और उसके गढ़ के विरूद्ध लड़ेंगे और उसको सकेती में डालेंगे, वे सब रात के देखे हुए स्वप्न के समान ठहरेंगे।

7. And the multitude of all the nations who wage war against Ariel, Even all who wage war against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, Will be like a dream, a vision of the night.

8. और जैसा कोई भूखा स्वपन में तो देखता है कि वह खा रहा है, परन्तु जागकर देखता है कि उसका पेट भूखा ही है, वा कोई प्यासा स्वपन में देखें की वह पी रहा है, परन्तु जागकर देखता है कि उसका गला सूखा जाता है और वह प्यासा मर रहा है; वैसी ही उन सब जातियों की भीड़ की दशा होगी जो सिरयोन पर्वत से युद्ध करेंगी।।

8. It will be as when a hungry man dreams-- And behold, he is eating; But when he awakens, his hunger is not satisfied, Or as when a thirsty man dreams-- And behold, he is drinking, But when he awakens, behold, he is faint And his thirst is not quenched. Thus the multitude of all the nations will be Who wage war against Mount Zion.

9. ठहर जाओ और चकित होओ! वे मतवाले तो हैं, परन्तु दाखमधु से नहीं, वे डगमगाते तो हैं, परन्तु मदिरा पीने से नहीं!

9. Be delayed and wait, Blind yourselves and be blind; They become drunk, but not with wine, They stagger, but not with strong drink.

10. यहोवा ने तुम को भारी नींद में डाल दिया है और उस ने तुम्हारी नबीरूपी आंखों को बन्द कर दिया है और तुम्हारे दर्शीरूपी सिरों पर पर्दा डाला है।
रोमियों 11:8

10. For the LORD has poured over you a spirit of deep sleep, He has shut your eyes, the prophets; And He has covered your heads, the seers.

11. इसलिये सारे दर्शन तुम्हारे लिये एक लपेटी और मुहर की हुई पुस्तक की बातों के समान हैं, जिसे कोई पढ़े- लिखे मनुष्य को यह कहकर दे, इसे पढ़, और वह कहे, मैं नहीं पढ़ सकता क्योंकि इस पर मुहर की हुई है।
प्रकाशितवाक्य 5:1

11. The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed book, which when they give it to the one who is literate, saying, 'Please read this,' he will say, 'I cannot, for it is sealed.'

12. तब वही पुस्तक अनपढ़े को यह कहकर दी जाए, इसे पढ़, और वह कहे, मैं तो अनपढ़ हूं।।

12. Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying, 'Please read this.' And he will say, 'I cannot read.'

13. और प्रभु ने कहा, ये लोग जो मुंह से मेरा आदर करते हुए समीप आते परन्तु अपना मन मुझ से दूर रखते हैं, और जो केवल मनुष्यों की आज्ञा सुन सुनकर मेरा भय मानते हैं।

13. Then the Lord said, 'Because this people draw near with their words And honor Me with their lip service, But they remove their hearts far from Me, And their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned [by rote],

14. इस कारण सुन, मैं इनके साथ अद्भुत काम वरन अति अद्भुत और अचम्भे का काम करूंगा; तब इनके बुद्धिमानों की बुद्धि नष्ट होगी, और इनके प्रवीणों की प्रवीणता जाती रहेगी।।
1 कुरिन्थियों 1:19

14. Therefore behold, I will once again deal marvelously with this people, wondrously marvelous; And the wisdom of their wise men will perish, And the discernment of their discerning men will be concealed.'

15. हाय उन पर जो अपनी युक्ति को यहोवा से छिपाने का बड़ा यत्न करते, और अपने काम अन्धेरे में करके कहते हैं, हम को कौन देखता है? हम को कौन जानता है?

15. Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from the LORD, And whose deeds are [done] in a dark place, And they say, 'Who sees us?' or 'Who knows us?'

16. तुम्हारी कैसी उलटी समझ है! क्या कुम्हार मिट्टी के तुल्य गिना जाएगा? क्या बनाई हुई वस्तु अपने कर्त्ता के विषय कहे कि उस ने मुझे नहीं बनाया, वा रची हुई वस्तु अपने रचनेवाले के विषय कहे, कि वह कुछ समझ नहीं रखता?
रोमियों 9:20-21

16. You turn [things] around! Shall the potter be considered as equal with the clay, That what is made would say to its maker, 'He did not make me'; Or what is formed say to him who formed it, 'He has no understanding '?

17. क्या अब थोड़े ही दिनों के बीतने पर लबानोन फिर फलदाई बारी न बन जाएगा, और फलदाई बारी जंगल न गिनी जएगी?

17. Is it not yet just a little while Before Lebanon will be turned into a fertile field, And the fertile field will be considered as a forest?

18. उस समय बहिरे पुस्तक की बातें सुनने लेगेंगे, और अन्धे जिन्हें अब कुछ नहीं सूझता, वे देखने लेगेंगे।
मत्ती 11:5

18. On that day the deaf will hear words of a book, And out of [their] gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see.

19. नम्र लोग यहोवा के कारण फिर आनन्दित होंगे, और दरिद्र मनुष्य इस्राएल के पवित्रा के कारण मगन होंगे।

19. The afflicted also will increase their gladness in the LORD, And the needy of mankind will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

20. क्योंकि उपद्रवी फिर न रहेंगे और ठट्ठा करनेवालों का अन्त होगा, और जो अनर्थ करने के लिये जागते रहते हैं, जो मनुष्यों को वचन में फंसाते हैं,

20. For the ruthless will come to an end and the scorner will be finished, Indeed all who are intent on doing evil will be cut off;

21. और जो सभा में उलहना देते उनके लिये फंदा लगाते, और धर्म को व्यर्थ बात के द्वारा बिगाड़ देते हैं, वे सब मिट जाएंगे।।

21. Who cause a person to be indicted by a word, And ensnare him who adjudicates at the gate, And defraud the one in the right with meaningless arguments.

22. इस कारण इब्राहीम का छुड़ानेवाला यहोवा, याकूब के घराने के विषय यों कहता है, याकूब को फिर लज्जित होना न पड़ेगा, उसका मुख फिर नीचा न होगा।

22. Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: 'Jacob shall not now be ashamed, nor shall his face now turn pale;

23. क्योंकि जब उसके सन्तान मेरा काम देखेंगे, जो मैं उनके बीच में करूंगा, तब वे मेरे नाम को पवित्रा मानेंगे, और इस्राएल के परमेश्वर को अति भय मानेंगे।

23. But when he sees his children, the work of My hands, in his midst, They will sanctify My name; Indeed, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob And will stand in awe of the God of Israel.

24. उस समय जिनका मन भटका हो वे बुद्धि प्राप्त करेंगे, और जो कुड़कुड़ाते हैं वह शिक्षा ग्रहण करेंगे।।

24. 'Those who err in mind will know the truth, And those who criticize will accept instruction.
