1. उस समय यहूदा देश में यह गीत गाया जाएगा, हमारा एक दृढ़ नगर है; उद्धार का काम देने के लिये वह उसकी शहरपनाह और गढ़ को नियुक्त करता है।

1. In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation will he appoint for walls and bulwarks.

2. फाटकों को खोलो कि सच्चाई का पालन करनेवाली एक धर्मी जाति प्रवेश करे।

2. Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth truth may enter in.

3. जिसका मन तुझ में धीरज धरे हुए हैं, उसकी तू पूर्ण शान्ति के साथ रक्षा करता है, क्योंकि वह तुझ पर भरोसा रखता है।
फिलिप्पियों 4:7

3. Thou wilt keep {cf15i him} in perfect peace, {cf15i whose} mind {cf15i is} stayed {cf15i on thee}: because he trusteth in thee.

4. यहोवा पर सदा भरोसा रख, क्योंकि प्रभु यहोवा सनातन चट्टान है।

4. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is an everlasting rock.

5. वह ऊंचे पदवाले को झुका देता, जो नगर ऊंचे पर बसा है उसको वह नीचे कर देता। वह उसको भूमि पर गिराकर मिट्टी में मिला देता है।

5. For he hath brought down them that dwell on high, the lofty city: he layeth it low, he layeth it low even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

6. वह पांवों से, वरन दरिद्रों के पैरों से रौंदा जाएगा।।

6. The foot shall tread it down; even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.

7. धर्मी का मार्ग सच्चाई है; तू जो स्वयं सच्चाई है, तू धर्मी की अगुवाई करता है।

7. The way of the just is uprightness: thou that art up right dost direct the path of the just.

8. हे यहोवा, तेरे न्याय के मार्ग में हम लोग तेरी बाट जोहते आए हैं; तेरे नाम के स्मरण की हमारे प्राणों में लालसा बनी रहती है।

8. Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; to thy name and to thy memorial is the desire of our soul.

9. रात के समय मैं जी से तरी लालसा करता हूं, मेरा सम्पूर्ण मन से यत्न के साथ तुझे ढूंढ़ता है। क्योंकि जब तेरे न्याय के काम पृथ्वी पर प्रगट होते हैं, तब जगत के रहनेवाले धर्म की सीखते हैं।

9. With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

10. दुष्ट पर चाहे दया भी की जाए तौभी वह धर्म को न सीखेगा; धर्मराज्य में भी वह कुटिलता करेगा, और यहोवा को महात्म्य उसे सूझ न पड़ेगा।।

10. Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal wrongfully, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.

11. हे यहोवा, तेरा हाथ बढ़ा हुआ है, पर वे नहीं देखते। परन्तु वे जानेंगे कि तुझे प्रजा के लिये कैसी जलन है, और लजाएंगे।
इब्रानियों 10:27

11. LORD, thy hand is lifted up, yet they see not: but they shall see {cf15i thy} zeal for the people, and be ashamed; yea, fire shall devour thine adversaries.

12. तेरे बैरी आग से भस्म होंगे। हे यहोवा, तू हमारे लिये शान्ति ठहराएगा, हम ने जो कुछ किया है उसे तू ही ने हमारे लिये किया है।

12. LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou hast also wrought all our works for us.

13. हे हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा, तेरे सिवाय और स्वामी भी हम पर प्रभुता करते थे, परन्तु तेरी कृपा से हम केवल तेरे ही नाम का गुणानुवाद करेंगे।
2 तीमुथियुस 2:19

13. O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us; but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

14. वे मर गए हैं, फिर कभी जीवित नहीं होंगे; उनको मरे बहुत दिन हुए, वे फिर नहीं उठने के; तू ने उनका विचार करके उनको ऐसा नाश किया कि वे फिर स्मरण में न आएंगे।

14. {cf15i They are} dead, they shall not live; {cf15i they are} deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

15. परन्तु तू ने जाति को बढ़ाया; हे यहोवा, तू ने जाति को बढ़ाया है; तू ने अपनी महिमा दिखाई है और उस देश के सब सिवानों को तू ने बढ़ाया है।।

15. Thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast increased the nation; thou art glorified: thou hast enlarged all the borders of the land.

16. हे यहोवा, दु:ख में वे तुझे स्मरण करते थे, जब तू उन्हें ताड़ना देता था तब वे दबे स्वर से अपने मन की बात तुझ पर प्रगट करते थे।

16. LORD, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer {cf15i when} thy chastening was upon them.

17. जैसे गर्भवती स्त्री जनने के समय एेंठती और पीड़ों के कारण चिल्ला उठती है, हम लोग भी, हे यहोवा, तेरे साम्हने वैसे ही हो गए हैं।
यूहन्ना 16:21

17. Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been before thee, O LORD.

18. हम भी गर्भवती हुए, हम भी एेंठें, हम ने मानो वायु ही को जन्म दिया। हम ने देश के लिये कोई उद्धार का काम नहीं किया, और न जगत के रहनेवाले उत्पन्न हुए।

18. We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

19. तेरे मरे हुए लोग जीवित होंगे, मुर्दे उठ खड़े होंगे। हे मिट्टी में बसनेवालो, जागकर जयजयकार करो! क्योंकि तेरी ओस ज्योति से उत्पन्न होती है, और पृथ्वी मुर्दो को लौटा देगी।।

19. Thy dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust: for thy dew is {cf15i as} the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead.

20. हे मेरे लोगों, आओ, अपनी अपनी कोठरी में प्रवेश करके किवाड़ों को बन्द करो; थोड़ी देर तक जब तक क्रोध शान्त न हो तब तक अपने को छिपा रखो।
मत्ती 6:6

20. Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

21. क्योंकि देखो, यहोवा पृथ्वी निवासियों को अधर्म का दण्ड देने के लिये अपने स्थान से चला आता है, और पृथ्वी अपना खून प्रगट करेगी और घात किए हुओं को और अधिक न छिपा रखेगी।।

21. For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
