1. दर्शन की तराई के विषय में भारी वचन। तुम्हें क्या हुआ कि तुम सब के सब छतों पर चढ़ गए हो,

1. This is a message about the Valley of Vision: Jerusalem, what is wrong? Why has everyone gone up to hide in their upper rooms?

2. हे कोलाहल और ऊधम से भरी प्रसन्न नगरी? तुझ में जो मारे गए हैं वे न तो तलवार से और न लड़ाई में मारे गए हैं।

2. This city was so happy, but now there is a terrible uproar. There are bodies lying everywhere, but they were not killed with swords. The people died, but not while fighting.

3. तेरे सब न्यायी एक संग भाग गए और धनुर्धारियों से बान्धे गए हैं। और तेरे जितने शेष पाए गए वे एक संग बान्धे गए, वे दूर भागे थे।

3. All your officers ran away together, but they have all been captured without bows. All the leaders ran away together, but they were found and captured.

4. इस कारण मैं ने कहा, मेरी ओर से मुंह फेर लो कि मैं बिलक बिलककर रोऊं; मेरे नगर सत्यनाश होने के शोक में मुझे शान्ति देने का यत्न मत करो।।

4. So I say, 'Don't look at me! Let me cry! Don't rush to comfort me about the destruction of Jerusalem.'

5. क्योंकि सेनाओं के प्रभु यहोवा का ठहराया हुआ दिन होगा, जब दर्शन की तराई में कोलाहल और रौंदा जाना और बेचैनी होगी; शहरपनाह में सुरंग लगाई जाएगी और दोहाई का शब्द पहाड़ों तक पहुंचेगा।

5. The Lord chose a special day for there to be riots and confusion. People trampled on each other in the Valley of Vision. The city walls were pulled down. People in the valley shouted up at those on the mountain.

6. और एलाम पैदलों के दल और सवारों समेत तर्कश बान्धे हुए है, और कीर ढाल खोले हुए है।

6. Horse soldiers from Elam took their quivers full of arrows and rode into battle. Soldiers from Kir rattled their shields.

7. तेरी उत्तम उत्तम तराइयां रथों से भरी हुई होंगी और सवार फाटक के साम्हने पांति बान्धेंगे। उस ने यहूदा का घूंघट खोल दिया है।

7. Your favorite valley was filled with chariots. Horse soldiers were stationed in front of the city gates.

8. उस दिन तू ने वन नाम भवन के अस्त्रा- शस्त्रा का स्मरण किया,

8. Then the cover protecting Judah was removed, and the people turned to the weapons they kept at the Forest Palace.

9. और तू ने दाऊदपुर की शहरपनाह की दरारों को देखा कि वे बहुत हैं, और तू ने निचले पोखरे के जल को इकट्ठा किया।

9. Then you noticed how many cracks there were in the walls around the City of David, so you began collecting water from the Lower Pool. You counted the houses and used stones from them to repair the walls. Then you built a pool between the double walls for storing water from the Old Pool. You did all this to protect yourselves, but you did not trust in the God who made all these things. You did not even notice the one who made all these things so long ago.

10. और यरूशलेम के घरों को गिनकर शहरपनाह के दृढ़ करने के लिये घरों को ढा दिया।

11. तू ने दोनों भीतों के बीच पुराने पोखरे के जल के लिये एक कुंड खोदा। परन्तु तू ने उसके कर्ता को स्मरण नहीं किया, जिस ने प्राचीनकाल से उसको ठहरा रखा था, और न उसकी ओर तू ने दृष्टि की।।

12. उस समय सेनाओं के प्रभु यहोवा ने रोने- पीटने, सिर मुंडाने और टाट पहिनने के लिये कहा था;

12. So the Lord God All-Powerful told the people to cry and mourn for their dead friends. He told them to shave their heads and wear mourning clothes.

13. परन्तु क्या देखा कि हर्ष और आनन्द मनाया जा रहा है, गाय- बैल का घात और भेड़- बकरी का वध किया जा रहा है, मांस खाया और दाखमधु पीया जा रहा है। और कहते हैं, आओ खाएं- पीएं, क्योंकि कल तो हमें मरना है।

13. But look, everyone was happy. The people rejoiced, saying, 'Kill the cattle and sheep and let's celebrate. Let's eat meat and drink wine. Eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.'

14. सेनाओं के यहोवा ने मेरे कान में कहा और अपने मन की बात प्रगट की, निश्चय तुम लोगों के इस अधर्म का कुछ भी प्रायश्चित्त तुम्हारी मृत्यु तक न हो सकेगा, सेनाओं के प्रभु यहोवा का यही कहना है।

14. The Lord All-Powerful said this to me and I heard it with my own ears: 'You are guilty of doing wrong, and I promise that you will die before this guilt is forgiven.' The Lord God All-Powerful said these things.

15. सेनाओं का प्रभु यहोवा यों कहता है, शेबना नाम उस भण्डारी के पास जो राजघराने के काम पर नियुक्त है जाकर कह, यहां तू क्या करता है?

15. The Lord God All-Powerful told me this: 'Go to Shebna, the palace manager.

16. और यहां तेरा कौन है कि तू ने अपनी कबर यहां खुदवाई है? तू अपनी कबर ऊंचे स्थान में खुदवाता और अपने रहने का स्थान चट्टान में खुदवाता है?

16. Ask him, 'What are you doing here? None of your relatives are buried here are they? Then what right do you have to prepare a tomb for yourself in this high place? Why are you cutting a tomb out of this rock?'

17. देख, यहोवा तुझ को बड़ी शक्ति से पकड़कर बहुत दूर फेंक देगा।

17. What a big man you are! But the Lord will crush you. He will roll you into a small ball and throw you far away into the open arms of another country, and there you will die.' {The Lord said,} 'You are very proud of your chariots. But in that faraway land, your new ruler will have better chariots. And your chariots will not look important in his palace.

18. वह तुझे मरोड़कर गेन्द की नाई लम्बे चौड़े देश में फेंक देगा; हे अपने स्वामी के घराने को लज्जित करनेवाले वहां तू मरेगा और तेरे विभव के रथ वहीं रह जाएंगे।

19. मैं तुझ को तेरे स्थान पर से ढकेल दूंगा, और तू अपने पद से उतार दिया जायेगा।

19. I will force you out of your position here. Your new leader will take you away from your important job.

20. उस समय मैं हिल्कियाह के पुत्रा अपने दास एल्याकीम को बुलाकर, उसे तेरा अंगरखा पहनाऊंगा,

20. At that time I will call for my servant Eliakim son of Hilkiah.

21. और उसकी कमर में तेरी पेटी कसकर बान्धूंगा, और तेरी प्रभुता उसके हाथ में दूंगा। और वह यरूशलेम के रहनेवालों और यहूदा के घराने का पिता ठहरेगा।

21. I will take your robe and put it on him. I will give him your scepter. I will give him the important job you have, and he will be like a father to the people of Jerusalem and Judah's family.

22. और मैं दाऊद के घराने की कुंजी उसके कंधे पर रखूंगा, और वह खोलेगा और कोई बन्द न कर सकेगा; वह बन्द करेगा और कोई खोल न सकेगा।
प्रकाशितवाक्य 3:7

22. I will put the key to David's house around his neck. If he opens a door, no one will be able to close it. If he closes a door, no one will be able to open it.

23. और मैं उसको दृढ़ स्थान में खूंटी की नाईं गाडूंगा, और वह अपने पिता के घराने के लिये विभव का कारण होगा।

23. He will be like a very honored chair in his father's house. I will make him like a strong peg in a solid board.

24. और उसके पिता से घराने का सारा विभव, वंश और सन्तान, सब छोटे- छोटे पात्रा, क्या कटोरे क्या सुराहियां, सब उस पर टांगी जाएंगी।

24. All the honored and important things of his father's house will hang on him. All the adults and little children will depend on him. They will be like little dishes and big water bottles hanging on him.'

25. सेनाओं के यहोवा की यह वाणी है कि उस समय वह खूंटी जो दृढ़ स्थान में गाड़ी गई थी, वह ढीली हो जाएगी, और काटकर गिराई जाएगी; और उस का बोझ गिर जाएगा, क्योंकि यहोवा ने यह कहा है।

25. The Lord All-Powerful said, 'At that time the peg that is now in the solid board will get weak and break. It will fall to the ground, and everything hanging on it will be destroyed. Then everything I said in this message will happen. It will happen because the Lord said it would.'
