1. सचमुच मैं चुपचाप होकर परमेरश्वर की ओर मन लगाए हूं; मेरा उद्धार उसी से होता है।

1. For the end, A Psalm of David to Jeduthun. Shall not my soul be subjected to God? For from Him is my salvation.

2. सचमुच वही, मेरी चट्टान और मेरा उद्धार है, वह मेरा गढ़ है; मैं बहुत न डिगूंगा।।

2. For He is my God, and my savior; my helper, I shall not be greatly moved.

3. तुम कब तक एक पुरूष पर धावा करते रहोगे, कि सब मिलकर उसका घात करो? वह तो झुकी हुई भीत वा गिरते हुए बाड़े के समान है।

3. How long will you assault a man? You are all slaughtering as with a bowed wall and a broken hedge.

4. सचमुच वे उसको, उसके ऊंचे पद से गिराने की सम्मति करते हैं; वे झूठ से प्रसन्न रहते हैं। मुंह से तो वे आशीर्वाद देते पर मन में कोसते हैं।।

4. They only took counsel to set at nought my honor. I ran in thirst; with their mouth they blessed, but with their heart they cursed. Pause.

5. हे मेरे मन, परमेश्वर के साम्हने चुपचाप रह, क्योंकि मेरी आशा उसी से है।

5. Nevertheless, my soul is subjected to God; for of Him [is] my patient hope.

6. सचमुच वही मेरी चट्टान, और मेरा उद्धार है, वह मेरा गढ़ है; इसलिये मैं न डिगूंगा।

6. For He [is] my God and my Savior; my helper, I shall not be moved.

7. मेरा उद्धार और मेरी महिमा का आधार परमेश्वर है; मेरी दृढ़ चट्टान, और मेरा शरणस्थान परमेश्वर है।

7. In God [is] my salvation and my glory; [He is] the God of my help, and my hope is in God.

8. हे लोगो, हर समय उस पर भरोसा रखो; उस से अपने अपने मन की बातें खोलकर कहो; परमेश्वर हमारा शरणस्थान है।

8. Hope in Him, all you congregation of the people; pour out your hearts before Him, for God is our helper. Pause.

9. सचमुच नीच लोग तो अस्थाई, और बड़े लोग मिथ्या ही हैं; तौल में वे हलके निकलते हैं; वे सब के सब सांस से भी हलके हैं।

9. But the sons of men are vain; the sons of men are false, so as to be deceitful in the balances; they are all alike, [formed] out of vanity.

10. अन्धेर करने पर भरोसा मत रखो, और लूट पाट करने पर मत फूलो; चाहे धन सम्पति बढ़े, तौभी उस पर मन न लगाना।।

10. Trust not in unrighteousness, and lust not after robberies. If wealth should flow in, set not your heart upon it.

11. परमेश्वर ने एक बार कहा है; और दो बार मैं ने यह सुना है: कि सामर्थ्य परमेश्वर का है।

11. God has spoken once, [and] I have heard these two things, that power is of God;

12. और हे प्रभु, करूणा भी तेरी है। क्योंकि तू एक एक जन को उसके काम के अनुसार फल देता है।।
