1. सचमुच मैं चुपचाप होकर परमेरश्वर की ओर मन लगाए हूं; मेरा उद्धार उसी से होता है।

1. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him [cometh] my salvation.

2. सचमुच वही, मेरी चट्टान और मेरा उद्धार है, वह मेरा गढ़ है; मैं बहुत न डिगूंगा।।

2. He only [is] my rock and my salvation; [he is] my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

3. तुम कब तक एक पुरूष पर धावा करते रहोगे, कि सब मिलकर उसका घात करो? वह तो झुकी हुई भीत वा गिरते हुए बाड़े के समान है।

3. How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall [shall ye be, and as] a tottering fence.

4. सचमुच वे उसको, उसके ऊंचे पद से गिराने की सम्मति करते हैं; वे झूठ से प्रसन्न रहते हैं। मुंह से तो वे आशीर्वाद देते पर मन में कोसते हैं।।

4. They only consult to cast [him] down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

5. हे मेरे मन, परमेश्वर के साम्हने चुपचाप रह, क्योंकि मेरी आशा उसी से है।

5. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation [is] from him.

6. सचमुच वही मेरी चट्टान, और मेरा उद्धार है, वह मेरा गढ़ है; इसलिये मैं न डिगूंगा।

6. He only [is] my rock and my salvation: [he is] my defence; I shall not be moved.

7. मेरा उद्धार और मेरी महिमा का आधार परमेश्वर है; मेरी दृढ़ चट्टान, और मेरा शरणस्थान परमेश्वर है।

7. In God [is] my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, [and] my refuge, [is] in God.

8. हे लोगो, हर समय उस पर भरोसा रखो; उस से अपने अपने मन की बातें खोलकर कहो; परमेश्वर हमारा शरणस्थान है।

8. Trust in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.

9. सचमुच नीच लोग तो अस्थाई, और बड़े लोग मिथ्या ही हैं; तौल में वे हलके निकलते हैं; वे सब के सब सांस से भी हलके हैं।

9. Surely men of low degree [are] vanity, [and] men of high degree [are] a lie: to be laid in the balance, they [are] altogether [lighter] than vanity.

10. अन्धेर करने पर भरोसा मत रखो, और लूट पाट करने पर मत फूलो; चाहे धन सम्पति बढ़े, तौभी उस पर मन न लगाना।।

10. Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart [upon them].

11. परमेश्वर ने एक बार कहा है; और दो बार मैं ने यह सुना है: कि सामर्थ्य परमेश्वर का है।

11. God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power [belongeth] to God.

12. और हे प्रभु, करूणा भी तेरी है। क्योंकि तू एक एक जन को उसके काम के अनुसार फल देता है।।
