1. हे मेरे मन, यहोवा को धन्य कह; और जो कुछ मुझ में है, वह उसके पवित्रा नाम को धन्य कहे!

1. [A Psalm] of David. BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name!

2. हे मेरे मन, यहोवा को धन्य कह, और उसके किसी उपकार को न भूलना।

2. Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits--

3. वही तो तेरे सब अधर्म को क्षमा करता, और तेरे सब रोगों को चंगा करता है,
मरकुस 2:7

3. Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases,

4. वही तो तेरे प्राण को नाश होने से बचा लेता है, और तेरे सिर पर करूणा और दया का मुकुट बान्धता है,

4. Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;

5. वही तो तेरी लालसा को उत्तम पदार्थों से तृप्त करता है, जिस से तेरी जवानी उकाब की नाईं नई हो जाती है।।

5. Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle's [strong, overcoming, soaring]! [Isa. 40:31.]

6. यहोवा सब पिसे हुओं के लिये धर्म और न्याय के काम करता है।

6. The Lord executes righteousness and justice [not for me only, but] for all who are oppressed.

7. उस ने मूसा को अपनी गति, और इस्राएलियों पर अपने काम प्रगट किए।
रोमियों 3:2

7. He made known His ways [of righteousness and justice] to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.

8. यहोवा दयालु और अनुग्रहकरी, विलम्ब से कोप करनेवाला और अति करूणामय है।
याकूब 5:11

8. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy and loving-kindness. [James 5:11.]

9. वह सर्वदा वादविवाद करता न रहेगा, न उसका क्रोध सदा के लिये भड़का रहेगा।

9. He will not always chide or be contending, neither will He keep His anger forever or hold a grudge.

10. उस ने हमारे पापों के अनुसार हम से व्यवहार नहीं किया, और न हमारे अधर्म के कामों के अनुसार हम को बदला दिया है।

10. He has not dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11. जैसे आकाश पृथ्वी के ऊपर ऊंचा है, वैसे ही उसकी करूणा उसके डरवैयों के ऊपर प्रबल है।

11. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great are His mercy and loving-kindness toward those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him.

12. उदयाचल अस्ताचल से जितनी दूर है, उस ने हमारे अपराधों को हम से उतनी ही दूर कर दिया है।

12. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

13. जैसे पिता अपने बालकों पर दया करता है, वैसे ही यहोवा अपने डरवैयों पर दया करता है।

13. As a father loves and pities his children, so the Lord loves and pities those who fear Him [with reverence, worship, and awe].

14. क्योंकि वह हमारी सृष्टि जानता है; और उसको स्मरण रहता है कि मनुष्य मिट्टी ही है।।

14. For He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on His heart] that we are dust.

15. मनुष्य की आयु घास के समान होती है, वह मैदान के फूल की नाईं फूलता है,

15. As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

16. जो पवन लगते ही ठहर नहीं सकता, और न वह अपने स्थान में फिर मिलता है।

16. For the wind passes over it and it is gone, and its place shall know it no more.

17. परन्तु यहोवा की करूणा उसके डरवैयों पर युग युग, और उसका धर्म उनके नाती- पोतों पर भी प्रगट होता रहता है,
लूका 1:50

17. But the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting upon those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, and His righteousness is to children's children--[Deut. 10:12.]

18. अर्थात् उन पर जो उसकी वाचा का पालन करते और उसके उपदेशों को स्मरण करके उन पर चलते हैं।।

18. To such as keep His covenant [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it] and to those who [earnestly] remember His commandments to do them [imprinting them on their hearts].

19. यहोवा ने तो अपना सिंहासन स्वर्ग में स्थिर किया है, और उसका राज्य पूरी सृष्टि पर है।

19. The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.

20. हे यहोवा के दूतों, तुम जो बड़े वीर हो, और उसके वचन के मानने से उसको पूरा करते हो उसको धन्य कहो!

20. Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word.

21. हे यहोवा की सारी सेनाओं, हे उसके टहलुओं, तुम जो उसकी इच्छा पूरी करते हो, उसको धन्य कहो!

21. Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, all you His hosts, you His ministers who do His pleasure.

22. हे यहोवा की सारी सृष्टि, उसके राज्य के सब स्थानों में उसको धन्य कहो। हे मेरे मन, तू यहोवा को धन्य कह!

22. Bless the Lord, all His works in all places of His dominion; bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul!
