1. जब दाऊद सिकलग में कीश के पुत्रा शाऊल के डर के मारे छिपा रहता था, तब ये उसके पास वहां आए, और ये उन वीरों में से थे जो युठ्ठ में उसके सहायक थे।

1. These also are they that came to Dauid to Ziklag, while he was yet kept close, because of Saul the sonne of Kish: and they were among the valiant and helpers of the battel.

2. ये धनुर्धारी थे, जो दाहिने- बायें, दोनों हाथों से गोफन के पत्थर और धनुष के तीर चला सकते थे; और ये शाऊल के भाइयों में से बिन्यामीनी थे।

2. They were weaponed with bowes, and could vse the right and the left hand with stones and with arrowes and with bowes, and were of Sauls brethren, euen of Beniamin.

3. मुख्य तो अहीएजेर और दूसरा योआश था जो गिबावासी शमाआ का पुत्रा था; फिर अजमावेत के पुत्रा यजीएल और पेलेत, फिर बराका और अनातोती येहू।

3. The chiefe were Ahiezer, and Ioash the sonnes of Shemaah a Gibeathite, and Ieziel, and Pelet the sonnes of Asinaueth, Berachah and Iehu the Antothite,

4. और गिबोनी यिशमायाह जो तीसों में से एक वीर और उनके ऊपर भी था; फिर यिर्मयाह, यहजीएल, योहानान, गदेरावासी योजाबाद।

4. And Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a valiant man among thirtie, and aboue the thirtie, and Ieremiah, and Iehaziel, and Iohanan, and Ioshabad the Gederathite,

5. एलूजै, यरीमोत, बाल्याह, शमर्याह, हारूपी शपत्याह।

5. Eluzai, and Ierimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,

6. एल्काना, यिशिरयाह, अजरेल, योएजेर, याशोबाम, जो सब कोरहवंशी थे।

6. Elkanah, and Ishiah, and Azariel, and Ioezer, Iashobeam of Hakorehim,

7. और गदोरवासी यरोहाम के पुत्रा योएला और जबद्याह।

7. And Ioelah, and Zebadiah, the sonnes of Ieroham of Gedor,

8. फिर जब दाऊद जंबल के गढ़ में रहता था, तब ये गादी जो शूरवीर थे, और युठ्ठ विद्या सीखे हुए और ढाल और भाला काम में लानेवाले थे, और उनके मुह सिंह के से और वे पहाड़ी मृग के समान वेग से दौड़नेवाले थे, ये और गादियों से अलग होकर उसके पास आए।

8. And of the Gadites there separated them selues some vnto Dauid into the holde of the wildernesse, valiant men of warre, and men of armes, and apt for battel, which coulde handle speare and shielde, and their faces were like the faces of lyons, and were like the roes in the mountaines in swiftnesse,

9. अर्थात् मुख्य तो एजेर, दूसरा ओबद्याह, तीसरा एलीआब।

9. Ezer the chiefe, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

10. चौथा मिश्मन्ना, पांचपां यिर्मयाह।

10. Mishmanah the fourth, Ieremiah the fift,

11. छठा अत्तै, सातवां एलीएल।

11. Attai the sixt, Eliel the seuenth,

12. आठवां योहानान, नौवां एलजाबाद।

12. Iohanan the eight, Elzabad the ninth,

13. दसवां यिर्मयाह और ग्यारहवां मकबन्नै था।

13. Ieremiah the tenth, Macbannai the eleuenth.

14. ये गादी मुख्य योठ्ठा थे, उन में से जो सब से छोटा था वह तो एक सौ के ऊपर, और जो सब से बड़ा था, वह हजार के ऊपर था।

14. These were the sonnes of Gad, captaines of the hoste: one of the least could resist an hundreth, and the greatest a thousand.

15. ये ही वे हैं, जो पहिले महीने में जब यरदन नदी सब कड़ाड़ों के ऊपर ऊपर बहती थी, तब उसके पार उतरे; और पूर्व और पश्चिम दानों ओर के सब तराई के रहनेवालों को भगा दिया।

15. These are they that went ouer Iorden in the first moneth when he had filled ouer all his bankes, and put to flight all them of the valley, toward the East and the West.

16. और कई एक बिन्यामीनी और यहूदी भी दाऊद के पास गढ़ में आए।

16. And there came of the children of Beniamin, and Iudah to the hold vnto Dauid,

17. उन से मिलने को दाऊद निकला और उन से कहा, यदि तुम मेरे पास मित्राभाव से मेरी सहायता करने को आए हो, तब तो मेरा मन तुम से लगा रहेगा; परन्तु जो तुम मुझे धोखा देकर मेरे शत्रुओं के हाथ पकड़वाने आए हो, तो हमारे पितरों का परमेश्वर इस पर दृष्टि करके डांटे, क्योंकि मेरे हाथ से कोई उपद्रव नहीं हुआ।

17. And Dauid went out to meete them, and answered and sayde vnto them, If yee be come peaceably vnto me to helpe me, mine heart shall be knit vnto you, but if you come to betray me to mine aduersaries, seeing there is no wickednes in mine handes, the God of our fathers beholde it, and rebuke it.

18. अब आत्मा अमासै में समाया, जो तीसों वीरों में मुख्य था, और उस ने कहा, हे दाऊद ! हम तेरे हैं; हे यिशै के पुत्रा ! हम तेरी ओर के हैं, तेरा कुशल ही कुशल हो और तेरे सहायकों का कुशल हो, क्योंकि तेरा परमेश्वर तेरी सहायता किया करता है। इसलिये दाऊद ने उनको रख लिया, और अपने दल के मुखिये ठहरा दिए।

18. And the spirit came vpon Amasai, which was the chiefe of thirtie, and he said, Thine are we, Dauid, and with thee, O sonne of Ishai. Peace, peace be vnto thee, and peace be vnto thine helpers: for thy God helpeth thee. Then Dauid receiued them, and made them captaines of the garison.

19. फिर कुछ मनश्शेई भी उस समय दाऊद के पास भाग गए, जब वह पलिश्तियों के साथ होकर शाऊल से लड़ने को गया, परन्तु उसकी कुछ सहायता न की, क्योंकि पलिश्तियों के सरदारों ने सम्मति लेने पर वह कहकर उसे बिदा किया, कि वह हमारे सिर कटवाकर अपने स्वामी शाऊल से फिर मिल जाएगा।

19. And of Manasseh some fell to Dauid, when he came with the Philistims against Saul to battell, but they helped them not: for the Princes of the Philistims by aduisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul for our heads.

20. जब वह सिक्लग को जा रहा था, तब ये मनश्शेई उसके पास भाग गए; अर्थात् अदना, योजाबाद, यदीएल, मीकाएल, योजाबाद, एलीहू और सिल्लतै जो मनश्शे के हजारों के मुखिये थे।

20. As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Iozabad, and Iediael, and Michael, and Iozabad, and Elihu, and Ziltai, heads of the thousands that were of Manasseh.

21. इन्हों ने लुटेरों के दल के विरूद्ध दाऊद की सहायता की, क्योंकि ये सब शूरवीर थे, और सेना के प्रधान भी बन गए।

21. And they helped Dauid against that bad: for they were all valiant men and were captaines in the hoste.

22. वरन प्रतिदिन लोग दाऊद की सहायता करने को उसके पास आते रहे, यहां तक कि परमेश्वर की सेना के समान एक बड़ी सेना बन गई।

22. For at that time day by day there came to Dauid to helpe him, vntill it was a great hoste, like the hoste of God.

23. फिर लोग लड़ने के लिये हथियार बान्धे हुए होब्रोन में दाऊद के पास इसलिये आए कि यहोवा के वचन के अनुसार शाऊल का राज्य उसके हाथ में कर दें : उनके मुखियों की गिनती यह है।

23. And these are the nombers of the captaines that were armed to battell, and came to Dauid to Hebron to turne the kingdome of Saul to him, according to the worde of the Lord.

24. यहूदा के ढाल और भाला लिए हुए छे हजार आठ सौ हथियारबन्ध लड़ने को बाए।

24. The children of Iudah that bare shield and speare, were sixe thousand and eight hundreth armed to the warre.

25. शिमोनी सात हजार एक सौ तैयार शूरवीर लड़ने को आए।

25. Of the children of Simeon valiant men of warre, seuen thousand and an hundreth.

26. लेवीय चार हजार छे सौ आए।

26. Of the children of Leui foure thousande and sixe hundreth.

27. और हारून के घराने का प्रधान यहोयादा था, और उसके साथ तीन हजार सात सौ आए।

27. And Iehoiada was the chiefe of them of Aaron: and with him three thousande and seuen hundreth.

28. और सादोक नाम एक जवान वीर भी आया, और उसके पिता के घराने के बाईस प्रधान आए।

28. And Zadok a yong man very valiant, and of his fathers housholde came two and twentie captaines.

29. और शाऊल के भाई बिन्यामीनियों में से तीन हजार आए, क्योंकि उस समय तक आधे बिन्यामीनियों से अधिक शाऊल के घराने का पक्ष करते रहे।

29. And of the children of Beniamin the brethren of Saul three thousande: for a great part of them vnto that time kept the warde of the house of Saul.

30. फिर एप्रैमियों में से बड़े वीर और अपने अपने पितरों के घरानों में नामी पुरूष बीस हजार आठ सौ आए।

30. And of the children of Ephraim twentie thousande, and eight hundreth valiant men and famous men in the housholde of their fathers.

31. और मनश्शे के आधे गोत्रा में से दाऊद को राजा बनाने के लिये अठारह हजार आए, जिनके नाम बताए गए थे।

31. And of the halfe tribe of Manasseh eighteene thousand, which were appointed by name to come and make Dauid King.

32. और इस्साकारियों में से जो समय को पहचानते थे, कि इस्राएल को क्या करना उचित है, उनके प्रधान दो सौ थे; और उनके सब भाई उनकी आज्ञा में रहते थे।

32. And of the children of Issachar which were men that had vnderstanding of the times, to knowe what Israel ought to doe: the heades of them were two hundreth, and all their brethren were at their commandement.

33. फिर जबूलून में से युठ्ठ के सब प्रकार के हथियार लिए हुए लड़ने को पांति बान्धनेवाले योठ्ठा पचास हजार आए, वे पांति बान्ध्नेवाले थे : और चंचल न थे।

33. Of Zebulun that went out to battel, expert in warre, and in all instruments of warre, fiftie thousande which could set the battell in aray: they were not of a double heart.

34. फिर नप्ताली में से प्रधान तो एक हजार, और उनके संग ढाल और भाला लिए सैंतीस हजार आए।

34. And of Naphtali a thousand captaines, and with them with shielde and speare seuen and thirtie thousande.

35. और दानियों में से लड़ने के लिये पांति बान्धनेवाले अठाईस हजार छे सौ आए।

35. And of Dan expert in battell, eyght and twentie thousande, and sixe hundreth.

36. और आशेर में से लड़ने को पांति बान्धनेवाले चालीस हजार योठ्ठा आए।

36. And of Asher that went out to the battell and were trained in the warres, fourtie thousand.

37. और यरदन पार रहनेवाले रूबेनी, गादी और मनश्शे के आधे गोत्रियों में से युठ्ठ के सब प्रकार के हथियार लिए हुए एक लाख बीस हजार आए।

37. And of the other side of Iorden of the Reubenites, and of the Gadites, and of the halfe tribe of Manasseh with all instruments of warre to fight with, an hundreth and twentie thousand.

38. ये सब युठ्ठ के लिये पांति बान्धनेवाले दाऊद को सारे इस्राएल का राजा बनाने के लिये हेब्रोन में सच्चे मन से आए, और और सब इस्राएली भी दाऊद को राजा बनाने के लिये सहमत थे।

38. All these men of warre that coulde leade an armie, came with vpright heart to Hebron to make Dauid King ouer all Israel: and all the rest of Israel was of one accorde to make Dauid King:

39. और वे वहां तीन दिन दाऊद के संग खाते पीते रहे, क्योंकि उनक भाइयों ने उनके लिये तैयारी की थी।

39. And there they were with Dauid three dayes, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.

40. और जो उनके निकट वरन इस्साकार, जबूलून और नप्ताली तक रहते थे, वे भी गदहों, ऊंटों, खच्चरों और बैलों पर मैदा, अंजीरों और किशमिश की टिकियां, दाखमधु और तेल आदि भोजनवस्तु लादकर लाए, और बैल और भेड़- बकरियां बहुतायत से लाए; क्योंकि इस्राएल में आनन्द मनाया जारहा था।

40. Moreouer they that were neere them vntill Issachar, and Zebulun, and Naphtali brought bread vpon asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, euen meate, floure, figges, and reisins, and wine and oyle, and beeues and sheepe abundantly: for there was ioy in Israel.
