1. तब अहाब ने ईज़ेबेल को एलिरयाह के सब काम विस्तार से बताए कि उस ने सब नबियों को तलवार से किस प्रकार मार डाला।

1. And Achab tolde Iesabel all yt Elias had done, & how he had slayne all Baals prophetes wt the swerde.

2. तब ईज़ेबेल ने एलिरयाह के पास एक दूत के द्वारा कहला भेजा, कि यदि मैं कल इसी समय तक तेरा प्राण उनका सा न कर डालूं तो देवता मेरे साथ वैसा ही वरन उस से भी अधिक करें।

2. The sent Iesabel a messaunger vnto Elias, sayenge: The goddes do this & that vnto me, yf I tomorow aboute this tyme, make not thy soule as one of these.

3. यह देख एलिरयाह अपना प्राण लेकर भागा, और यहूदा के बेश् बा को पहुंचकर अपने सेवक को वहीं छोड़ दिया।

3. Then was he afrayed, & gat him vp, & wente where he wolde, & came vnto Berseba in Iuda, and lefte his lad there.

4. और आप जंगल में एक दिन के मार्ग पर जाकर एक झाऊ के पेड़ के तले बैठ गया, वहां उस ने यह कह कर अपनी मृत्यु मांगी कि हे यहोवा बस है, अब मेरा प्राण ले ले, क्योंकि मैं अपने पुरखाओं से अच्छा नहीं हूँ।

4. But he him selfe wente a daies iourney in to ye wyldernes, & came in, & sat him downe vnder a Iuniper tre, & wy?shed vnto his soule yt he mighte dye, & sayde: It is now ynough LORDE, take my soule, for I am no better then my fathers.

5. चह झाऊ के पेड़ तले लेटकर सो गया और देखो एक दूत ने उसे छूकर कहा, उठकर खा।

5. And he layed him downe & slepte vnder the Iuniper tre. And beholde, ye angell touched him, & sayde vnto him: Stonde vp, and eate.

6. उस ने दृष्टि करके क्या देखा कि मेरे सिरहाने पत्थरों पर पको ऊई एक रोटी, और एक सुराही पानी धरा है; तब उस ने खाया और पिया और फिर लेट गया।

6. And he loked aboute him, & beholde, at his heade there was a bred baken on the coles, & a cruse wt water. And whan he had eaten and dronke, he layed him downe agayne to slepe.

7. दूसरी बार यहोवा का दूत आया और उसे छूकर कहा, उठकर खा, क्योंकि तुझे बहुत भारी यात्रा करनी है।

7. And ye angell of the LORDE, came agayne the seconde tyme, & touched him, & sayde: Stonde vp, and eate, for thou hast a greate waye to go.

8. तब उस ने उठकर खाया पिया; और उसी भोजन से बल पाकर चालीस दिन रात चलते चलते परमेश्वर के पर्वत होरेब को पहुंचा।

8. And he arose, and ate and drake, and wente on thorow the strength of that meate fortye dayes and fortye nightes, eue vnto Horeb ye mount of God:

9. वहां वह एक गुफा में जाकर टिका और यहोवा का यह वचन उसके पास पहुंचा, कि हे एलिरयाह तेरा यहां क्या काम?

9. and there he came to a caue, and abode there all nighte. And beholde the worde of the LORDE came to him, and sayde vnto him: What doest thou here Elias?

10. उन ने उत्तर दिया सेनाओं के परमेश्वर यहोवा के निमित्त मुझे बड़ी जलन हुई है, क्योकि इस्राएलियों ने तेरी वाचा आल दी, तेरी बेदियों को गिरा दिया, और तेरे नबियों को तलवार से घात किया है, और मैं ही अकेला रह गया हूँ; और वे मेरे प्राणों के भी खोजी हैं।
रोमियों 11:3

10. He sayde: I haue bene zelous for the LORDE God Zebaoth: for the children of Israel haue forsaken thy couenaunt, and broken downe thine altares, and slayne thy prophetes with the swerde, and I am lefte onely, & they seke to take awaye my life.

11. उस ने कहा, निकलकर यहोवा के सम्मुख पर्वत पर खड़ा हो। और यहोवा पास से होकर चला, और यहोवा के साम्हने एक बड़ी प्रचणड आन्धी से पहाड़ फटने और चट्टानें टूटने लगीं, तौभी यहोवा उस आन्धी में न था; फिर आन्धी के बाद भूंईडोल हूआ, तौभी यहोवा उस भूंईडोल में न था।

11. He sayde: Go forth, and stonde vpon the mount before the LORDE. And beholde, the LORDE wete ouer: and a greate mightie wynde, which roue the mountaynes, and brake the harde stones, came before the LORDE, but the LORDE was not in the wynde. After the wynde came there an earthquake, but the LORDE was not in the earthquake.

12. फिर भूंईडोल के बाद आग दिखाई दी, तौभी यहोवा उस आग में न था; फिर आग के बाद एक दबा हुआ धीमा शब्द सुनाई दिया।

12. And after the earth quake there came a fyre, but the LORDE was not in the fyre. And after the fyre came there a styll softe hyssinge.

13. यह सुनते ही एलिरयाह ने अपना मुंह च र से ढांपा, और बाहर जाकर गुफा के द्वार पर खड़ा हुआ। फिर एक शब्द उसे सुनाई दिया, कि हे एलिरयाह तेरा यहां क्या काम?

13. Whan Elias herde that, he couered his face with his cloke, and wente forth, and stode in the dore of the caue. And beholde, there came a voyce vnto him, and sayde: What hast thou here to do Elias?

14. उस ने कहा, मुझे सेनाऔं के परमेश्वर यहोवा के निमित्त बड़ी जलन हुई, क्योंकि इस्राएलियों ने तेरी वाचा टाल दी, और तेरी वेदियों को गिरा दिया है और तेरे नबियों को तलवार से घात किया है; और मैं ही अकेला रह गया हूँ; और वे मेरे प्राणों के भी खोजी हैं।
रोमियों 11:3

15. यहोवा ने उस से कहा, लौटकर दमिश्क के जंगल को जा, और वहां पहुंचकर अराम का राजा होने के लिये हजाएल का,

15. But the LORDE sayde vnto him: Go yi waye agayne thorow the wyldernes vnto Damascon, & go in, & anoynte Hasael kynge ouer Siria,

16. और इस्राएल का राजा होने को निमशी के पोते येहू का, और अपने स्थान पर नबी होने के लिये आबेलमहोला के शापात के पुत्रा एलीशा का अभिषेक करना।

16. & Iehu the sonne of Nimsi kynge ouer Israel, & Eliseus ye sonne of Saphat of Abel Mehola to be prophet in yi steade.

17. और हजाएल की तलवार से जो कोई बच जाए उसको येहू मार डालेगा; और जो कोई येहू की तलवार से बच जाए उसको एलीशा मार डालेगा।

17. And it shal come to passe, yt, who so escapeth the swerde of Hasael, Iehu shall slaye him, & who so escapeth ye swerde of Iehu, Eliseus shal slaye him.

18. तौभी मैं सात हजार इस्राएलियों को बचा रखूंगा। ये तो वे सब हैं, जिन्हों ने न तो बाल के आगे घुटने टेके, और न मुंह से उसे चूमा है।
रोमियों 11:4

18. And I wil reserue vnto me vij.M. men in Israel: namely, all ye knees which haue not bowed the selues vnto Baal, and euery mouth yt hath not kyssed him.

19. तब वह वहां से चल दिया, और शापात का पुत्रा एलीशा उसे मिला जो बारह जोड़ी बैल अपने आगे किए हुए आप बारहवीं के साथ होकर हल जोत रहा थ। उसके पास जाकर एलिरयाह ने अपनी च र उस पर डाल दी।

19. And he departed thence, & founde Elizeus ye sonne of Saphat, plowinge wt twolue yocke of oxen before him, & he him selfe was amoge the twolue. And Elias wete vnto him, & cast his cloke vpon him.

20. तब वह बैलों को छोड़कर एलिरयाह के पीछे दौड़ा, और कहने लगा, मुझे अपने माता- पिता को चूमने दे, तब मैं तेरे पीछे चलूंगा। उस ने कहा, लौट जा, मैं ने तुझ से क्या किया है?

20. And he lefte the oxen, & ranne after Elias, & sayde: Let me kysse my father & my mother, and so wil I folowe the. And he sayde vnto him: Go thy waye, & come agayne, for I haue some what to do with the.

21. तब वह उसके पीछे से लौट गया, और एक जोड़ी बैल लेकर बलि किए, और बैलों का सामान जलाकर उनका मांस पका के अपने लोगों को दे दिया, और उन्हों ने खाया; तब वह कमर बान्धकर एलिरयाह के पीछे चला, और उसकी सेवा टहल करने लगा।

21. And he ranne agayne from him, and toke a yock of oxen, and offred it, and sod ye flesh with the wod of the oxen plowes, and gaue it vnto the people to eate, and gat him vp, & folowed Elias, and mynistred vnto him.
