1. नाबात के पुत्रा यारोबाम के राज्य के अठारहवें वर्ष में अबिरयाम यहूदा पर राज्य करने लगा।

1. In the eighteenth yere of king Ieroboam the sonne of Nabat, raigned Abiam ouer Iuda.

2. और वह तीन वर्ष तक यरूशलेम में राज्य करता रहा। उसकी माता का नाम माका था जो अबशालोम की पुत्री थी :

2. Three yeres raigned he in Hierusalem: and his mothers name was Maacha, the daughter of Abisalom.

3. वह वैसे ही पापों की लीक पर चलता रहा जैसे उसके पिता ने उस से पहिले किए थे और उसका मन अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की ओर अपने परदादा दाऊद की नाई पूरी रीति से सिठ्ठ न था;

3. And he walked in all the sinnes of his father which he had done before him, and his heart was not perfect with the Lorde his God, as the heart of Dauid his father.

4. तौभी दाऊद के कारण उसके परमेश्वर यहोवा ने यरूशलेम में उसे एक दीपक दिया अर्थात् उसके पुत्रा को उसके बाद ठहराया और यरूशलेम को बनाए रखा।

4. Neuerthelesse, for Dauids sake did the Lorde his God geue him a lyght in Hierusalem, that he set vp his sonne after him, and stablished Hierusalem:

5. क्योंकि दाऊद वह किया करता था जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में ठीक था और हित्ती ऊरिरयाह की बात के सिवाय और किसी बात में यहोवा की किसी आज्ञा से जीवन भर कभी न मुड़ा।

5. Because Dauid did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and turned from nothing that he commaunded him all the dayes of his lyfe, saue onely in the matter of Urias the Hethite.

6. रहूबियाम के जीवन भर तो उसके और यारोबाम के बीच लड़ाई होती रही।

6. And there was warre betweene Rehoboam and Ieroboam, as long as he lyued.

7. अबिरयाम के और सब काम जो उस ने किए, क्या वे यहूदा के राजाओं के इतिहास की पुस्तक में नहीं लिखे हैं? और अबिरयाम की यारोबाम के साथ लड़ाई होती रही।

7. The rest of the wordes that concerne Abiam, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the cronicles of the kinges of Iuda? And there was warre betweene Abiam & Ieroboam.

8. निदान अबिरयाम अपने पुरखाओं के संग सोया, और उसको दाऊदपुर में मिट्टी दी गई, और उसका पुत्रा आसा उसके स्थान पर राज्य करने लगा।

8. And Abiam slept with his fathers, & they buried him in the citie of Dauid: and Asa his sonne raigned in his steade.

9. इस्राएल के राजा यारोबाम के बीसवें वर्ष में आसा यहूदा पर राज्य करने लगा;

9. In the twentith yere of Ieroboam king of Israel raigned Asa ouer Iuda.

10. और यरूशलेम में इकतालीस वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा, और उसकी माता अबिशालोम की पुत्री माका थी।

10. Fourtie & one yeres raigned he in Hierusalem: and his mothers name was Maacha, the daughter of Abisalom.

11. और आसा ने अपने मूलपुरूष दाऊद की नाई वही किया जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में ठीक था।

11. And Asa did [that seemed] ryght in the eyes of the Lorde, as did Dauid his father.

12. उस ने तो पुरूषगामियों को देश से निकाल दिया, और जितनी मूरतें उसके पुरखाओं ने बनाई थी उन सभों को उस ने दूर कर दिया।

12. And he toke away the male stewes out of the lande, and put away all the abhominable idols that his fathers had made.

13. वरन उसकी माता माका जिस ने अशेरा के लिये एक घिनौनी मूरत बनाई थी उसको उस ने राजमाता के पद से उतार दिया, और आसा ने उसकी मूरत को काट डाला और किद्रोन के नाले में फूंक दिया।

13. And he put downe Maacha his mother from bearing rule, because she had made an idoll in a groue: And Asa destroyed her idoll, and burnt it by the brooke Cedron.

14. परन्तु ऊंचे स्थान तो ढाए न गए; तौभी आसा का मन जीवन भर यहोवा की ओर पूरी रीति से लगा रहा।

14. But the hie places were not put downe: Neuerthelesse Asa his heart was perfect with the Lorde all his dayes.

15. और जो सोना चांदी और पात्रा उसके पिता ने अर्पण किए थे, और जो उसने स्वयं अर्पण किए थे, उन सभों को उस ने यहोवा के भवन में पहुंचा दिया।

15. He brought in the holy vessels of his father, and that he had dedicate vnto the house of the Lord, golde, and siluer, and iewels.

16. और आसा और इस्राएल के राजा बाशा के बीच उनके जीवन भर युठ्ठ होता रहा

16. And there was warre betweene Asa, & Baasa king of Israel all their dayes.

17. और इस्राएल के राजा बाशा ने यहूदा पर चढ़ाई की, और रामा को इसलिये दृढ़ किया कि कोई यहूदा के राजा आसा के पास आने जाने न पाए।

17. And Baasa king of Israel went vp against Iuda, and built Rama, so that he woulde let none go out or in to Asa king of Iuda.

18. तब आसा ने जितना सोना चांदी यहोवा के भवन और राजभवन के भणडारों में रह गया था उस सब को निकाल अपने कर्मचारियों के हाथ सोंपकर, दमिश्कवासी अराम के राजा बेन्हदद के पास जो हेज्योन का पोता और तब्रिम्मोन का पुत्रा था भेजकर यह कहा, कि जैसा मेरे और तेरे पिता के मध्य में वैसा ही मेरे और तेरे मध्य भी वाचा बान्धी जाए :

18. Then Asa toke al the siluer and golde that was left in the treasures of the house of the Lorde, and the treasures of the kinges house, and deliuered them vnto the handes of his seruauntes, and king Asa sent them to Benhadad the sonne of Tabrimon the sonne of Hezion king of Syria that dwelt at Damasco, saying:

19. देख, मैं तेरे पास चांदी सोने की भेंट भेजता हूँ, इसलिये आ, इस्राएल के राजा बाशा के साथ की अपनी वाचा को टाल दे, कि वह मेरे पास से चला जाए।

19. There is a bonde betweene me & thee, betweene my father and thy father: and beholde I haue sent vnto thee a present of siluer and golde, that thou come and breake the bonde that thou hast with Baasa king of Israel, that he may depart from me.

20. राजा आसा की यह बात मानकर बेन्हदद ने अपने दलों के प्रधानों से इस्राएली नगरों पर चढ़ाई करवाकर इरयोन, दान, आबेल्वेत्माका और समस्त किन्नेरेत को और नप्ताली के समस्त देश को पूरा जीत लिया।

20. So Benhadad hearkened vnto king Asa, & sent the captaynes of the hoastes which he had, against the cities of Israel, and smote Hion, and Dan, and Abel, Beth Maacah, and all [the region of] Ceneroth, with all the lande of Nephthali.

21. यह सुनकर बाशा ने रामा को दृढ़ करना छोड़ दिया, और तिर्सा में रहने लगा।

21. And when Baasa heard thereof, he left building of Rama, and dwelt in Thirza.

22. तब राजा आसा ने सारे यहूदा में प्रचार करवाया और कोई अनसुना न रहा, तब वे रामा के पत्थ्रों और लकड़ी को जिन से बासा उसे दृढ़ करता था उठा ले गए, और उन से राजा आसा ने बिन्यामीन के गेबा और मिस्पा को दृढ़ किया।

22. Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Iuda, that none should be excused: And so they toke the stones of Ramah and the tymber wherewith Baasa had builded, and king Asa built with them the hill of Beniamin and Mispah.

23. आसा के और काम और उसकी वीरता और जो कुछ उस ने किया, और जो नगर उस ने दृढ़ किए, यह सब क्या यहूदा के राजाओं के इतिहास की पुस्तक में नहीं लिखा है?

23. The remnaunt of all the wordes that concerne Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he builded, are they not written in the booke of the cronicles of the kinges of Iuda? Neuerthelesse, in his olde age he was diseased in his feete.

24. परन्तु उसके बुढ़ापे में तो उसे पांवों का रोग लग गया। निदान आसा अपने पुरखाओं के संग सो गया, और उसे उसके मूलपुरूष दाऊद के नगर में उन्हीं के पास पिट्टी दी गई और उसका पुत्रा यहोशापात उसके स्थान पर राज्य करने लगा।

24. And Asa slept with his fathers, & was buried beside his fathers in the citie of Dauid his father: And Iehosaphat his sonne raigned in his steade.

25. यहूदा के राजा आसा के दूसरे वर्ष में यारोबाम का पुत्रा नादाब इस्राएल पर राज्य करने लगा; और दो वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा।

25. And Nadab the sonne of Ieroboam began to raigne vpon Israel the second yere of Asa king of Iuda, and raigned vpon Israel two yeres.

26. उस ने वह काम किया जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा था और अपने पिता के मार्ग पर वही पाप करता हुआ चलता रहा जो उस ने इस्राएल से करवाया था।

26. And he did euill in ye sight of the Lord, walking in ye way of his father, & in his sinne wherewith he made Israel sinne.

27. नादाब सब इस्राएल समेत पलिश्तियों के देश के गिब्बतोन नगर को घेरे था। और उस्साकार के गोत्रा के अहिरयाह के पुत्रा बाशा ने उसके विरूद्ध राजद्रोह की गोष्ठी करके गिब्बतोन के पास उसको मार डाला।

27. And Baasa the sonne of Ahia, which was of the house of Isachar, conspired against him, and Baasa smote him at Gibbethon, which is a citie of the Philistines (for Nadab and al Israel layed siege to Gibbethon)

28. और यहूदा के राजा आसा के तीसरे वर्ष में बाशा ने नादाब को मार डाला, और उसके स्थान पर राजा बन गया।

28. Euen in the third yere of Asa king of Iuda, did Baasa slay him, and raigned in his steade.

29. राजा होते ही बाशा ने यारोबाम के समस्त घराने को मार डाला; उस ने यारोबाम के वंश को यहां तक नष्ट किया कि एक भी जीवित न रहा। यह सब यहोवा के उस वचन के अनुसार हुआ जो उस ने अपने दास शीलोवासी अहिरयाह से कहवाया था।

29. And it fortuned that when he was king, he smote all the house of Ieroboam, and he left him naught that breathed, vntill he had put him cleane out, according vnto the saying of the Lorde which he spake by his seruaunt Ahia the Selonite:

30. यह इस कारण हुआ कि यारोबाम ने स्वयं पाप किए, और इस्राएल से भी करवाए थे, और उस ने इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा को क्रोधित किया था।

30. Because of the sinnes of Ieroboam, wherewith he sinned and made Israel sinne, when he with his prouocation angred the Lorde God of Israel.

31. नादाब के और सब काम जो उस ने किए, वह क्या इस्राएल के राजाओं के इतिहास की पुस्तक पें नहीं लिखे हैं?

31. The rest of the wordes that concerne Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the cronicles of the kinges of Israel?

32. आसा और इस्राएल के राजा बाशा के मध्य में तो उनके जीवन भर युठ्ठ होता रहा।

32. And there was warre betweene Asa & Baasa king of Israel all their dayes.

33. यहूदा के राजा आसा के तीसरे वर्ष में अहिरयाह का पुत्रा बाशा, तिर्सा में समस्त इस्राएल पर राज्य करने लगा, और चौबीस वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा।

33. So in the third yere of Asa king of Iuda, began Baasa the sonne of Ahia to raigne ouer all Israel in Thirza, twentie and foure yeres.

34. और उस ने वह किया, जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा था, और यारोबाम के मार्ग पर वही पाप करता रहा जिसे उस ने हस्राएल से करवाया था।

34. And he did that which is euill in the sight of the Lorde, walking in the way of Ieroboam, and in his sinne, wherewith he made Israel to sinne.
