1. जब शीबा की रानी ने यहोवा के नाम के विषय सुलैमान की की त्त सुनी, तब वह कठिन कठिन प्रश्नों से उसकी परीक्षा करने को चल पड़ी।
मत्ती 6:29

1. Now the queen of Sheba heard of the name of Solomon, and the name of the Lord, and she came to test him with riddles.

2. वह तो बहुत भारी दल, और मसालों, और बहुत सोने, और मणि से लदे ऊंट साथ लिये हुए यरूशलेम को आई; और सुलैमान के पास पहुंचकर अपने मन की सब बातों के विषय में उस से बातें करने लगी।

2. And she came to Jerusalem with a very great company. And [there came] camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and she came in to Solomon, and told him all that was in her heart.

3. सुलैमान ने उसके सब प्रश्नों का उत्तर दिया, कोई बात राजा की बुध्दि से ऐसी बाहर न रही कि वह उसको न बता सका।

3. And Solomon answered all her questions. And there was not a question overlooked by the king which he did not answer her.

4. जब शीबा की रानी ने सुलैमान की सब बुध्दिमानी और उसका बनाया हुआ भवन, और उसकी मेज पर का भोजन देखा,

4. And the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he built,

5. और उसके कर्मचारी किस रीति बैठते, और उसके टहंलुए किस रीति खड़े रहते, और कैसे कैसे कपड़े पहिने रहते हैं, और उसके पिलानेवाले कैसे हैं, और वह कैसी चढ़ाई है, जिस से वह यहोवा के भवन को जाया करता है, यह सब जब उस ने देखा, तब वह चकित हो गई।

5. and the provision of Solomon and the sitting of his attendants, and the standing of his servants, and his clothing, and his cup-bearers, and his whole burnt offering which he offered in the house of the Lord, and she was utterly amazed.

6. तब उस ने राजा से कहा, तेरे कामों और बुध्दिमानी की जो की त्त मैं ने अपने देश में सुनी थी वह सच ही है।

6. And she said to King Solomon, [It was] a true report which I heard in my land of your words and your wisdom.

7. परन्तु जब तक मैं ने आप ही आकर अपनी आंखों से यह न देखा, तब तक मैं ने उन बातों की प्रतीत न की, परन्तु इसका आधा भी मुझे न बताया गया था; तेरी बुध्दिमानी और कल्याण उस की त्त से भी बढ़कर है, जो मैं ने सुनी थी।

7. But I did not believe those that told it to me, until I came and my eyes saw: and behold, the words as they reported to me are not the half [of it]; you have exceeded in goodness all the report which I heard in my land.

8. धन्य हैं तेरे जन ! धन्य हैं तेरे ये सेवक ! जो नित्य तेरे सम्मुख उपस्थित रहकर तेरी बुध्दि की बातें सुनते हैं।

8. Blessed [are] your wives, blessed [are] these your servants who stand before you continually, who hear all your wisdom.

9. धन्य है तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा ! जो तुझ से ऐसा प्रसन्न हुआ कि तुझे इस्राएल की राजगद्दी पर विराजमान किया : यहोवा इस्राएल से सदा प्रेम रखता है, इस कारण उस ने तुझे न्याय और धर्म करने को राजा बना दिया है।

9. Blessed be the Lord your God, who has taken pleasure in you, to set you upon the throne of Israel, because the Lord loved Israel to establish [him] forever; and He has made you king over them, to execute judgment with justice, and in their causes.

10. और उस ने राजा को एक सौ बीस किक्कार सोना, बहुत सा सुगन्ध द्ररय, और मणि दिया; जितना सुगन्ध द्ररय शीबा की रानी ने राजा सुलैमान को दिया, उतना फिर कभी नहीं आया।

10. And she gave to Solomon a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and very many spices, and precious stones; there had not come any other spices so abundant as those which the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.

11. फिर हीराम के जहाज भी जो ओपीर से सोना लाते थे, वह बहुत सी चन्दन की लकड़ी और मणि भी लाए।

11. And the ships of Hiram which brought the gold from Ophir, brought very much hewn timber and precious stones.

12. और राजा ने चन्दन की लकड़ी से यहोवा के भवन और राजभवन के लिये जंगले और गवैयों के लिये वीणा और सारंगियां बनवाई ; ऐसी चन्दन की लकड़ी आज तक फिर नहीं आई, और न दिखाई पड़ी है।

12. And the king made the hewn timber [into] buttresses of the house of the Lord and the king's house, and lyres and harps for singers; such hewn timber had not come upon the earth, nor have been seen anywhere until this day.

13. और शीबा की रानी ने जो कुछ चाहा, वही राजा सुलैमान ने उसकी इच्छा के अनुसार उसको दिया, फिर राजा सुलैमान ने उसको अपनी उदारता से बहुत कुछ दिया, तब वह अपने जनों समेत अपने देश को लौट गई।

13. And King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all that she desired, whatsoever she asked, besides all that he had given her by the hand of King Solomon. And she returned, and came into her own land, she and her servants.

14. जो सोना प्रति वर्ष सुलैमान के पास पहुंचा करता था, उसका तौल छेसौ छियासठ किक्कार था।

14. And the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold.

15. इस से अधिक सौदागरों से, और रयोपारियों के लेन देन से, और दोगली जातियों के सब राजाओं, और अपने देश के गवर्नरो से भी बहुत कुछ मिलता था।

15. Besides the tributes of them that were subjects, both merchants and all the kings of the [country] beyond [the river], and of the princess of the land.

16. और राजा सुलैमान ने सोना गढ़बाकर दो सौ बड़ी बड़ी ढालें बनवाई; एक एक ढाल में छे छे सौ शेकेल सोना लगा।

16. And Solomon made three hundred spears of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold were upon one spear.

17. फिर उस ने सोना गढ़वाकर तीन सौ छोटी ढालें भी बनवाई; एक एक छोटी ढाल में, तीन माने सोना लगा; और राजा ने उनको लबानोनी वन नाम भवन में रखवा दिया।

17. And three hundred shields of beaten gold: and three pounds of gold were in one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

18. और राजा ने हाथीदांत का एक बड़ा सिंहासन बनवाया, और उत्तम कुन्दन से मढ़वाया।

18. And the king made a great ivory throne, and gilded it with pure gold.

19. उस सिंहासन में छे सीढ़ियां थीं; और सिंहासन का सिरहाना पिछाड़ी की ओर गोल था, और बैठने के स्थान की दोनों अलग टेक लगी थीं, और दोनों टेकों के पास एक एक सिंह खड़ा हुआ बना था।

19. The throne [had] six steps, and calves in bold relief to the throne behind it, and sidepieces on either hand of the place of the seat, and two lions standing by the sidepieces,

20. और छहों सीढ़ियों की दोनों अलंग एक एक सिंह खड़ा हुआ बना था, कुल बारह हुए। किसी राज्य में ऐसा कभी नहीं बना;

20. and twelve lions standing there on the six steps on either side: it was not so done [like that] in any [other] kingdom.

21. और राजा सुलैमान के पीने के सब पात्रा सोने के बने थे, और लबानोनी बन नाम भवन के सब पात्रा भी चोखे सोने के थे, चांदी का कोई भी न था। सुलैमान के दिनों में उसका कुछ लेखा न था।

21. And all the vessels made by Solomon [were] of gold, and the lavers [were] golden, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; there was no silver, for it was not accounted of in the days of Solomon.

22. क्योंकि समुद्र पर हीराम के जहाजों के साथ राजा भी तश श के जहाज़ रखता था, ओर तीन तीन वर्ष पर तश श के जहाज़ सोना, चांदी, हाथीदांत, बन्दर और मयूर ले आते थे।

22. For Solomon had a ship of Tarshish in the sea with the ships of Hiram; one ship came to the king every three years out of Tarshish, [laden with] gold and silver, and wrought stones, and hewn stones. This was the arrangement of the provision which King Solomon fetched to build the house of the Lord, and the house of the king, and the wall of Jerusalem, and the citadel; to fortify the City of David, and Assyria, and Migdol, and Gezer, and Beth Horon the upper, and Jethermath, and all the cities of the chariots, and all the cities of the horsemen, and the fortification of Solomon which he purposed to build in Jerusalem and in all the land, so that none of the people should rule over him that was left of the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Canaanite and the Hivite and the Jebusite and the Girgashite, who were not of the children of Israel, their descendants who had been left with him in the land, whom the children of Israel could not utterly destroy. And Solomon made them tributaries until this day. But of the children of Israel Solomon made nothing, for they were the warriors, and his servants and rulers, and captains of the third order, and the captains of his chariots, and his horsemen.

23. इस प्रकार राजा सुलैमान, धन और बुध्दि में पृथ्वी के सब राजाओं से बढ़कर हो गया।

23. And Solomon increased beyond all the kings of the earth in wealth and wisdom.

24. और समस्त पृथ्वी के लोग उसकी बुध्दि की बातें सुनने को जो परमेश्वर ने मन में उत्पन्न की थीं, सुलैमान का दर्शन पाना चाहते थे।

24. And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom which the Lord [had] put into his heart.

25. और वे प्रति वर्ष अपनी अपनी भेंट, अर्थात् चांदी और सोने के पात्रा, वस्त्रा, शस्त्रा, सुगन्ध द्ररय, घोड़े, और खच्चर ले आते थे।

25. And everyone their own gifts, vessels of gold, articles of clothing, armor, spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

26. और सुलैमान ने रथ और सवार इकट्ठे कर लिए, तो उसके चौदह सौ रथ, और बारह हजार सवार हुए, और उनको उस ने रथों के नगरों में, और यरूशलेम में राजा के पास ठहरा रखा।

26. And Solomon had four thousand mares for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; and he put them in the cities of his chariots, and with the king in Jerusalem. And he ruled over all the kings from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the borders of Egypt.

27. और राजा ने बहुतायत के कारण, यरूशलेम में चांदी को तो ऐसा कर दिया जैसे पत्थर और देवदारू को जैसे नीचे के देश के गूलर।

27. And the king made gold and silver in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedars as the sycamores in the plain for multitude.

28. और जो घोड़े सुलैमान रखता था, वे मिस्र से आते थे, और राजा के व्योपारी उन्हें झुणड झुणड करके ठहराए हुए दाम पर लिया करते थे।

28. And the goings forth of Solomon's horsemen [was] also out of Egypt, and the king's merchants [were] of Keveh; and they received them out of Keveh at a price.

29. एक रथ तो छे सौ शेकेल चांदी पर, और एक घोड़ा डेढ़ सौ शेकेल पर, मिस्र से आता था, और इसी दाम पर वे हित्तियों और अराम के सब राजाओं के लिये भी व्योपारियों के द्वारा आते थे।

29. And that which proceeded out of Egypt went up [thus, even] a chariot for a hundred [shekels] of silver, and a horse for fifty [shekels] of silver; and thus for all the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of Syria, they came out by sea.
