1. और याकूब ने आंखें उठाकर यह देखा, कि एसाव चार सौ पुरूष संग लिये हुए चला जाता है। तब उस ने लड़केबालों को अलग अलग बांटकर लिआ, और राहेल, और दोनों लौंडियों को सौप दिया।

1. Forsothe Jacob reiside hise iyen, and seiy Esau comynge, and foure hundrid men with hym; and he departide the sones of Lia, and of Rachel, and of bothe seruauntessis.

2. और उस ने सब के आगे लड़कों समेत लौंडियों को उसके पीछे लड़कों समेत लिआ: को, और सब के पीछे राहेल और यूसुफ को रखा,

2. And he puttide euer either handmaide, and the fre children of hem, in the bigynnyng; sotheli he puttide Lia, and her sones, in the secounde place; forsothe he puttide Rachel and Joseph the laste.

3. और आप उन सब के आगे बढ़ा, और सात बार भूमि पर गिरके दण्डवत् की, और अपने भाई के पास पहुंचा।

3. And Jacob yede bifore, and worschipide lowli to erthe seuensithis, til his brothir neiyede.

4. तब एसाव उस से भेंट करने को दौड़ा, और उसको हृदय से लगाकर, गले से लिपटकर चूमा : फिर वे दोनों रो पड़े।

4. And so Esau ran ayens his brothir, and collide hym, and Esau helde his necke, and kisside, and wepte.

5. तब उस ने आंखे उठाकर स्त्रियों और लड़के बालों को देखा; और पूछा, ये जो तेरे साथ हैं सो कौन हैं? उस ने कहा, ये तेरे दास के लड़के हैं, जिन्हें परमेश्वर ने अनुग्रह करके मुझ को दिया है।

5. And whanne the iyen weren reisid, he seiy the wymmen, and the litle children of hem, and seide, What wolen these to hem silf? and wher thei pertenen to thee? Jacob answeride, Thei ben the litle children, whiche God hath youe to me, thi seruaunt.

6. तब लड़कों समेत लौंडियों ने निकट आकर दण्डवत् की।

6. And the handmaydis and her sones neiyeden, and weren bowid.

7. फिर लड़कों समेत लिआ: निकट आई, और उन्हों ने भी दण्डवत् की: पीछे यूसुफ और राहेल ने भी निकट आकर दण्डवत् की।

7. Also Lya neiyede with hir fre children; and whanne thei hadden worschipid in lijk maner, Joseph and Rachel the laste worschipeden.

8. तब उस ने पूछा, तेरा यह बड़ा दल जो मुझ को मिला, उसका क्या प्रयोजन है? उस ने कहा, यह कि मेरे प्रभु की अनुग्रह की दृष्टि मुझ पर हो।

8. And Esau seide, What ben these cumpanyes, whiche Y mette? Jacob answerde, That Y schulde fynde grace bifore my lord.

9. एसाव ने कहा, हे मेरे भाई, मेरे पास तो बहुत है; जो कुछ तेरा है सो तेरा ही रहे।

9. And he seide, My brother, Y haue ful many thingis, thi thingis be to thee.

10. याकूब ने कहा, नहीं नहीं, यदि तेरा अनुग्रह मुझ पर हो, तो मेरी भेंट ग्रहण कर : क्योंकि मैं ने तेरा दर्शन पाकर, मानो परमेश्वर का दर्शन पाया है, और तू मुझ से प्रसन्न हुआ है।

10. And Jacob seide, Y biseche, nyle thou so, but if Y foond grace in thin iyen, take thou a litil yifte of myn hondis; for Y seiy so thi face as I seiy the cheer of God;

11. सो यह भेंट, जो तुझे भेजी गई है, ग्रहण कर : क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने मुझ पर अनुग्रह किया है, और मेरे पास बहुत है।

11. be thou merciful to me, and resseyue the blessyng which Y brouyte to thee, and which blessyng God yyuynge alle thingis yaf to me. Vnnethis, while the brothir compellide,

12. फिर एसाव ने कहा, आ, हम बढ़ चलें: और मै तेरे आगे आगे चलूंगा।

12. he resseyuede, and seide, Go we to gidere, and Y schal be felowe of thi weie.

13. याकूब ने कहा, हे मेरे प्रभु, तू जानता ही है कि मेरे साथ सुकुमार लड़के, और दूध देनेहारी भेड़- बकरियां और गायें है; यदि ऐसे पशु एक दिन भी अधिक हांके जाएं, तो सब के सब मर जाएंगे।

13. And Jacob seide, My lord, thou knowist that Y haue litle children tendre, and scheep, and kien with calue with me, and if Y schal make hem for to trauele more in goynge, alle the flockis schulen die in o dai;

14. सो मेरा प्रभु अपने दास के आगे बढ़ जाए, और मैं इन पशुओं की गति के अनुसार, जो मेरे आगे है, और लड़केबालों की गति के अनुसार धीरे धीरे चलकर सेईर में अपने प्रभु के पास पहुंचूंगा।

14. my lord go bifore his seruaunt, and Y schal sue litil and litil hise steppis, as I shal se that my litle children mown, til Y come to my lord, in to Seir.

15. एसाव ने कहा, तो अपने संगवालों में से मैं कई एक तेरे साथ छोड़ जाऊं। उस ने कहा, यह क्यों? इतना ही बहुत है, कि मेरे प्रभु की अनुग्रह की दृष्टि मुझ पर बनी रहे।

15. Esau answeride, Y preie thee, that of the puple which is with me, nameli felowis of thi weie dwelle. Jacob seide, It is no nede; Y haue nede to this o thing oneli, that Y fynde grace in thi siyt, my lord.

16. तब एसाव ने उसी दिन सेईर जाने को अपना मार्ग लिया।

16. And so Esau turnede ayen in that dai in the weie bi which he cam, in to Seir.

17. और याकूब वहां से कूच करके सुक्कोत को गया, और वहां अपने लिये एक घर, और पशुओं के लिये झोंपड़े बनाए: इसी कारण उस स्थान का नाम सुक्कोत पड़ा।।

17. And Jacob cam in to Sochot, where whanne he hadde bildid an hows, and hadde set tentis, he clepide the name of that place Sochot, that is, tabernaclis.

18. और याकूब जो प नराम से आया था, सो कनान देश के शकेम नगर के पास कुशल क्षेम से पहुंचकर नगर के साम्हने डेरे खड़े किए।

18. And Jacob passide in to Salem, a citee of Sichimis, whiche is in the lond of Canaan, aftir that he turnede ayen fro Mesopotanye of Sirie, and he dwellide besidis the citee.

19. और भूमि के जिस खण्ड पर उस ने अपना तम्बू खड़ा किया, उसको उस ने शकेम के पिता हमोर के पुत्रों के हाथ से एक सौ कसीतों में मोल लिया।

19. And he bouyte for an hundrid lambren a part of the feeld, in which he settide tabernaclis, of the sones of Emor, fadir of Sichem.

20. और वहां उस ने एक वेदी बनाकर उसका नाम एलेलोहे इस्राएल रखा।।

20. And whanne he hadde reisid an auter there, he inwardly clepide on it the strongeste God of Israel.
