1. फिर उस ने आंख उठाकर धनवानों को अपना अपना दान भण्डार में डालते देखा।

1. Just then he looked up and saw the rich people dropping offerings in the collection plate.

2. और उस ने एक कंगाल विधवा को भी उस में दो दमड़ियां डालते देखा।

2. Then he saw a poor widow put in two pennies.

3. तब उस ने कहा; मैं तुम से सच कहता हूं कि इस कंगाल विधवा ने सब से बढ़कर डाला है।

3. He said, 'The plain truth is that this widow has given by far the largest offering today.

4. क्योंकि उन सब ने अपनी बढ़ती में से दान में कुछ डाला है, परन्तु इस ने अपनी घटी में से अपनी सारी जीविका डाल दी है।।

4. All these others made offerings that they'll never miss; she gave extravagantly what she couldn't afford--she gave her all!'

5. जब कितने लोग मन्दिर के विषय में कह रहे थे, कि वह कैसे सुन्दर पत्थरों और भेंट की वस्तुओं से संवारा गया है तो उस ने कहा।

5. One day people were standing around talking about the Temple, remarking how beautiful it was, the splendor of its stonework and memorial gifts. Jesus said,

6. वे दिन आएंगे, जिन में यह सब जो तुम देखते हो, उन में से यहां किसी पत्थर पर पत्थर भी न छूटेगा, जो ढाया न जाएगा।

6. 'All this you're admiring so much--the time is coming when every stone in that building will end up in a heap of rubble.'

7. They asked him, 'Teacher, when is this going to happen? What clue will we get that it's about to take place?'

8. He said, 'Watch out for the doomsday deceivers. Many leaders are going to show up with forged identities claiming, 'I'm the One,' or, 'The end is near.' Don't fall for any of that.

9. When you hear of wars and uprisings, keep your head and don't panic. This is routine history and no sign of the end.'

10. He went on, 'Nation will fight nation and ruler fight ruler, over and over.

11. और बड़ें बड़ें भूईडोल होंगे, और जगह जगह अकाल और मरियां पड़ेंगी, और आकाश में भयंकर बातें और बड़े बड़े चिन्ह प्रगट होंगे।

11. Huge earthquakes will occur in various places. There will be famines. You'll think at times that the very sky is falling.

12. परन्तु इन सब बातों से पहिले वे मेरे नाम के कारण तुम्हें पकडें़गे, और सताएंगे, और पंचायतों में सौपेंगे, और बन्दीगृह मे डलवाएंगे, और राजाओं और हाकिमों के साम्हने ले जाएंगे।

12. 'But before any of this happens, they'll arrest you, hunt you down, and drag you to court and jail. It will go from bad to worse, dog-eat-dog, everyone at your throat because you carry my name.

13. पर यह तुम्हारे लिये गवाही देने का अवसर हो जाएगा।

13. You'll end up on the witness stand, called to testify.

14. इसलिये अपने अपने मन में ठान रखो कि हम पहिले से उत्तर देने की चिन्ता न करेंगे।

14. Make up your mind right now not to worry about it.

15. क्योंकि मैं तुम्हें ऐसा बोल और बुद्धि दूंगा, कि तुम्हारे सब विरोधी साम्हना या खण्डन न कर सकेंगे।

15. I'll give you the words and wisdom that will reduce all your accusers to stammers and stutters.

16. और तुम्हारे माता पिता और भाई और कुटुम्ब, और मित्रा भी तुम्हें पकड़वाएंगे; यहां तक कि तुम में से कितनों को मरवा डालेंगे।

16. 'You'll even be turned in by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. Some of you will be killed.

17. और मेरे नाम के कारण सब लोग तुम से बैर करेंगे।

17. There's no telling who will hate you because of me.

21. If you're living in Judea at the time, run for the hills. If you're in the city, get out quickly. If you're out in the fields, don't go home to get your coat.

22. This is Vengeance Day--everything written about it will come to a head.

23. उन दिनों में जो गर्भवती और दूध पिलाती होंगी, उन के लिये हाय, हाय, क्योंकि देश में बड़ा क्लेश और इन लोगों पर बड़ी आपत्ति होगी।

23. Pregnant and nursing mothers will have it especially hard. Incredible misery! Torrential rage!

28. When all this starts to happen, up on your feet. Stand tall with your heads high. Help is on the way!'

29. He told them a story. 'Look at a fig tree. Any tree for that matter.

30. ज्योंहि उन की कोंपलें निकलती हैं, तो तुम देखकर आप ही जान लेते हो, कि ग्रीष्मकाल निकट है।

30. When the leaves begin to show, one look tells you that summer is right around the corner.

31. इसी रीति से जब तुम ये बातें होते देखो, तब जान लो कि परमेश्वर का राज्य निकट है।

31. The same here--when you see these things happen, you know God's kingdom is about here.

32. मैं तुम से सच कहता हूं, कि जब तक ये सब बातें न हो लें, तब तक इस पीढ़ी का कदापि अन्त न होगा।

32. Don't brush this off: I'm not just saying this for some future generation, but for this one, too--these things will happen.

33. आकाश और पृथ्वी टल जाएंगे, परन्तु मेरी बातें कभी न टलेंगी।।

33. Sky and earth will wear out; my words won't wear out.

34. इसलिये सावधान रहो, ऐसा न हो कि तुम्हारे मन खुमार और मतवालेपन, और इस जीवन की चिन्ताओं से सुस्त हो जाएं, और वह दिन तुम पर फन्दे की नाई अचानक आ पड़े।

34. 'But be on your guard. Don't let the sharp edge of your expectation get dulled by parties and drinking and shopping. Otherwise, that Day is going to take you by complete surprise, spring on you suddenly like a trap,

35. क्योंकि वह सारी पृथ्वी के सब रहनेवालों पर इसी प्रकार आ पड़ेगा।

35. for it's going to come on everyone, everywhere, at once.

36. इसलिये जागते रहो और हर समय प्रार्थना करते रहो कि तुम इन सब आनेवाली घटनाओं से बचने, और मनुष्य के पुत्रा के साम्हने खड़े होने के योग्य बनो।।

36. So, whatever you do, don't go to sleep at the switch. Pray constantly that you will have the strength and wits to make it through everything that's coming and end up on your feet before the Son of Man.'

37. और वह दिन को मन्दिर में उपदेश करता था; और रात को बाहर जाकर जैतून नाम पहाड़ पर रहा करता था।

37. He spent his days in the Temple teaching, but his nights out on the mountain called Olives.

38. और भोर को तड़के सब लोग उस की सुनने के लिये मन्दिर में उसके पास आया करते थे।

38. All the people were up at the crack of dawn to come to the Temple and listen to him.
