11. आनन्दित और मगन होना क्योंकि तुम्हारे लिये स्वर्ग में बड़ा फल है इसलिये कि उन्हों ने उन भविष्यद्वक्ताओं को जो तुम से पहिले थे इसी रीति से सताया था।।

11. Blessed are ye when men reuyle you and persecute you and shall falsly say all manner of yvell saynges agaynst you for my sake.

12. तुम पृथ्वी के नमक हो; परन्तु यदि नमक का स्वाद बिगड़ जाए, तो वह फिर किस वस्तु से नमकीन किया जाएगा?

13. तुम पृथ्वी के नमक हो; परन्तु यदि नमक का स्वाद बिगड़ जाए, तो वह फिर किस वस्तु से नमकीन किया जाएगा? फिर वह किसी काम का नहीं, केवल इस के कि बाहर फेंका जाए और मनुष्यों के पैरों तले रौंआ जाए।

14. तुम जगत की ज्योति हो; जो नगर पहाड़ पर बसा हुआ है वह छिप नहीं सकता।

15. और लोग दिया जलाकर पैमाने के नीचे नहीं परन्तु दीवट पर रखते हैं, तब उस से घर के सब लोगों को प्रकाश पहुंचता है।

15. nether do men lyght a cadell and put it vnder a busshell but on a candelstick and it lighteth all that are in the house.

16. उसी प्रकार तुम्हारा उजियाला मनुष्यों के साम्हने चमके कि वे तुम्हारे भले कामों को देखकर तुम्हारे पिता की, जो स्वर्ग में हैं, बड़ाई करें।।

16. Let youre light so shyne before men yt they maye se youre good workes and glorify youre father which is in heven.

17. यह न समझो, कि मैं व्यवस्था या भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की पुस्तकों को लोप करने आया हूं।

17. Thinke not yt I am come to destroye the lawe or the Prophets: no I am nott come to destroye them but to fulfyll them.

18. लोप करने नहीं, परन्तु पूरा करने आया हूं, क्योंकि मैं तुम से सच कहता हूं, कि जब तक आकाश और पृथ्वी टल न जाएं, तब तक व्यवस्था से एक मात्रा या बिन्दु भी बिना पूरा हुए नहीं टलेगा।

18. For truely I saye vnto you till heven and erth perisshe one iott or one tytle of the lawe shall not scape tyll all be fulfilled.

19. इसलिये जो कोई इन छोटी से छोटी आज्ञाओं में से किसी एक को तोड़े, और वैसा ही लोगों को सिखाए, वह स्वर्ग के राज्य में सब से छोटा कहलाएगा; परन्तु जो कोई उन का पालन करेगा और उन्हें सिखाएगा, वही स्वर्ग के राज्य में महान कहलाएगा।

19. Whosoever breaketh one of these lest commaundmentes and teacheth men so he shalbe called the leest in the kyngdome of heve. But whosoever obserueth and teacheth ye same shal be called greate in the kyngdome of heven.

20. क्योंकि मैं तुम से कहता हूं, कि यदि तुम्हारी धार्मिकता शास्त्रियों और फरीसियों की धार्मिकता से बढ़कर न हो, तो तुम स्वर्ग के राज्य में कभी प्रवेश करने न पाओगे।।

21. तुम सुन चुके हो, कि पूर्वकाल के लोगों से कहा गया था कि हत्या न करना, और जो कोई हत्या करेगा वह कचहरी में दण्ड के योग्य होगा।

22. परन्तु मैं तुम से यह कहता हूं, कि जो कोई अपने भाई पर क्रोध करेगा, वह कचहरी में दण्ड के योग्य होगा: और जो कोई अपने भाई को निकम्मा कहेगा वह महासभा में दण्ड के योग्य होगा; और जो कोई कहे 'अरे मूर्ख' वह नरक की आग के दण्ड के योग्य होगा।

23. इसलिये यदि तू अपनी भेंट वेदी पर लाए, और वहां तू स्मरण करे, कि मेरे भाई के मन में मेरी ओर से कुछ विरोध है, तो अपनी भेंट वहीं वेदी के साम्हने छोड़ दे।

23. Therfore whe thou offrest thy gifte at the altare and their remembrest that thy brother hath ought agaynst the:

24. और जाकर पहिले अपने भाई से मेल मिलाप कर; तब आकर अपनी भेंट चढ़ा।

24. leue there thyne offrynge before the altre and go thy waye first and be reconcyled to thy brother and then come and offre thy gyfte.

25. जब तक तू अपने मु ई के साथ मार्ग में हैं, उस से झटपट मेल मिलाप कर ले कहीं ऐसा न हो कि मु ई तुझे हाकिम को सौंपे, और हाकिम तुझे सिपाही को सौंप दे और तू बन्दीगृह में डाल दिया जाए।

25. Agre with thyne adversary quicklye whyles thou arte in ye waye with hym lest that adversary deliver ye to ye iudge and ye iudge delivre ye to ye minister and the thou be cast into preson.

26. मैं तुम से सच कहता हूं कि जब तक तू कौड़ी कौड़ी भर न दे तब तक वहां से छूटने न पाएगा।।

26. I say vnto ye verely: thou shalt not come out thece till thou have payed ye utmost farthige.

27. तुम सुन चुके हो कि कहा गया था, कि व्यभिचार न करना।

29. यदि तेरी दहिनी आंख तुझे ठोकर खिलाए, तो उसे निकालकर अपने पास से फेंक दे; क्योंकि तेरे लिये यही भला है कि तेरे अंगों में से एक नाश हो जाए और तेरा सारा शरीर नरक में न डाला जाए।

29. Wherfore yf thy right eye offende ye plucke hym out and caste him from the. Better it is for the yt one of thy membres perisshe then that thy hole bodye shuld be cast into hell.

30. और यदि तेरा दहिना हाथ तुझे ठोकर खिलाए, तो उस को काटकर अपने पास से फेंक दे, क्योंकि तेरे लिये यही भला है, कि तेरे अंगों में से एक नाश हो जाए और तेरा सारा शरीर नरक में न डाला जाए।।

30. Also if thy right honde offend ye cut hym of and caste hym from the. Better yt ys that one of thy membres perisshe then that all thy body shulde be caste in to hell.

31. यह भी कहा गया था, कि जो कोई अपनी पत्नी को त्याग दे तो उसे त्यागपत्रा दे।

32. परन्तु मैं तुम से यह कहता हूं कि जो कोई अपनी पत्नी को व्यभिचार के सिवा किसी और कारण से छोड़ दे, तो वह उस से व्यभिचार करवाता है; और जो कोई उस त्यागी हुई से ब्याह करे, वह व्यभिचार करता है।।

32. But I say vnto you: whosoever put awaye his wyfe (except it be for fornicacion) causeth her to breake matrymony. And whosoever maryeth her that is devorsed breaketh wedlocke.

41. और जो कोई तुझे कोस भर बेगार में ले जाए तो उसके साथ दो कोस चला जा।

42. जो कोई तुझ से मांगे, उसे दे; और जो तुझ से उधार लेना चाहे, उस से मुंह न मोड़।।

43. तुम सुन चुके हो, कि कहा गया था; कि अपने पड़ोसी से प्रेम रखना, और अपने बैरी से बैर।

45. जिस से तुम अपने स्वर्गीय पिता की सन्तान ठहरोगे क्योंकि वह भलों और बुरों दोनो पर अपना सूर्य उदय करता है, और धर्मियों और अधर्मियों दोनों पर मेंह बरसाता है।

45. that ye maye be ye chyldern of youre father that is in heauen: for he maketh his sunne to aryse on ye yvell and on the good and sendeth his reyn on the iuste and vniuste.

46. क्योंकि यदि तुम अपने प्रेम रखनेवालों ही से प्रेम रखो, तो तुम्हारे लिये क्या लाभ होगा? क्या महसूल लेनेवाले भी ऐसा ही नहीं करते?

46. For yf ye love them which love you: what rewarde shall ye have? Doo not the Publicans euen so?

47. और यदि तुम केवल अपने भाइयों की को नमस्कार करो, तो कौन सा बड़ा काम करते हो? क्या अन्यजाति भी ऐसा नहीं करते?

47. And yf ye be frendly to youre brethren onlye: what singuler thynge doo ye? Do not the Publicans lyke wyse?

48. इसलिये चाहिये कि तुम सिद्ध बनो, जैसा तुम्हारा स्वर्गीय पिता सिद्ध है।।
