1. उन दिनों में हिजकिरयाह ऐसा रोगी हुआ कि वह मरने पर था। और आमोस के पुत्रा यशायाह नबी ने उसके पास जाकर कहा, यहोवा यों कहता है, अपने घराने के विषय जो आज्ञा देनी हो वह दे, क्योंकि तू न बचेगा मर ही जाएगा।

1. Not longe afore this, was Ezechias deadsick: And the prophet Esay the sonne of Amos came vnto him, and sayde: Thus commaundeth the LORDE: Set thyne house in ordre, for thou must dye, and shalt not escape.

2. तब हिजकिरयाह ने भी की ओर मुंह फेरकर यहोवा से प्रार्थना करके कहा;

2. Then Ezechias turned his face towarde the wall, & prayed vnto the LORDE,

3. हे यहोवा, मैं बिनती करता हूं, स्मरण कर कि मैं सच्चाई और खरे मन से अपने को तेरे सम्मुख जानकर चलता आया हूं और जो तेरी दृष्टि में उचित था वही करता आया हूं। और हिजकिरयाह बिलक बिलककर रोने लगा।

3. and sayde: Remembre (o LORDE) that I haue walked before the in treuth and a stedfast hert, and haue done the thinge that is pleasaunt to the. And Ezechias wepte sore.

4. तब यहोवा का यह वचन यशायाह के पास पहुंचा,

4. The sayde God vnto Esay:

5. जाकर हिजकिरयाह से कह कि तेरे मूलपुरूष दाऊद का परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, मैं ने तेरी प्रार्थना सुनी और तेरे आंसू देखे हैं; सुन, मैं तेरी आयु पन्द्रह वर्ष और बढ़ा दूंगा।

5. Go and speake vnto Ezechias: The LORDE God of Dauid thy father sendeth ye this worde: I haue herde thy prayer, and considred thy teares: beholde, I will put xv yeares mo vnto thy life,

6. अश्शूर के राजा के हाथ से मैं तेरी और इस नगर की रक्षा करके बचाऊंगा।।

6. and delyuer the and the citie also, from the honde of the kinge of Assiria, for I will defende the cite.

7. यहोवा अपने इस कहे हुए वचन को पूरा करेगा,

7. And take the this token of the LORDE, yt he will do it, as he hath spoken:

8. और यहोवा की ओर से इस बात का तेरे लिये यह चिन्ह होगा कि धूप की छाया जो आहाज की धूपघड़ी में ढल गई है, मैं दस अंश पीछे की ओर लौटा दूंगा। सो वह छाया जो दस अंश ढल चुकी थी लौट गई।।

8. Beholde, I will returne the shadowe of Achas Diall, yt now is layed out with the Sonne, and bringe it ten degrees bacward. So the Sonne turned ten degrees bacward, the which he was descended afore.

9. यहूदा के राजा हिजकिरयाह का लेख जो उस ने लिखा जब वह रोगी होकर चंगा हो गया था, वह यह है:

9. A thankesgeuynge, which Ezechias kinge of Iuda wrote, when he had bene sicke, & was recouered.

10. मैं ने कहा, अपनी आयु के बीच ही मैं अधोलोक के फाटकों में प्रवेश करूंगा; क्योंकि मेरी शेष आयु हर ली गई है।
मत्ती 16:18

10. I thought I shulde haue gone to the gates of hell in my best age, and haue wanted the residue of my yeares.

11. मैं ने कहा, मैं याह को जीवितों की भूमि में फिर न देखने पाऊंगा; इस लोक के निवासियों को मैं फिर न देखूंगा।

11. I spake within my self: I shal neuer viset the LORDE God in this life: I shal neuer se man, amonge the dwellers of the worlde

12. मेरा घर चरवाहे के तम्बू की नाई उठा लिया गया है; मैं ने जोलाहे की नाईं अपने जीवन को लपेट दिया है; वह मुझे तांत से काट लेगा; एक ही दिन में तू मेरा अन्त कर डालेगा।

12. Myne age is folden vp together and taken awaye fro me, like a sheperdes cotage: my lyfe is hewen of, like as a weeuer cutteth of his webb. Whyl I was yet takinge my rest, he hewed me of, & made an ende of me in one daie.

13. मैं भोर तक अपने मन को शान्त करता रहा; वह सिंह की नाईं मेरी सब हडि्डयों को तोड़ता है; एक ही दिन में तू मेरा अन्त कर डालता है।

13. I thought I wolde haue lyued vnto the morow, but he brussed my bones like a lyon, and made an ende of me in one daye.

14. मैं सूपाबेने वा सारस की नाई च्यूं च्यूं करता, मैं पिण्डुक की नाई विलाप करता हूं। मेरी आंखें ऊपर देखते देखते पत्थरा गई हैं। हे यहोवा, मुझ पर अन्धेर हो रहा है; तू मेरा सहारा हो!

14. Then chatred I like a swalowe, and like a Crane, and mourned as a doue. I lift vp myne eyes in to ye hight: O LORDE, (sayde I) violence is done vnto me, be thou suertie for me.

15. मैं क्या कहूं? उसी ने मुझ से प्रतिज्ञा की और पूरा भी किया है। मैं जीवन भर कडुआहट के साथ धीरे धीरे चलता रहूंगा।।

15. What shal I speake or say, ethat he maye this doo? yt I maye lyue out all my yeares, yee in the bytternesse of my life?

16. हे प्रभु, इन्हीं बातों से लोग जीवित हैं, और इन सभों से मेरी आत्मा को जीवन मिलता है। तू मुझे चंगा कर और मुझे जीवित रख!

16. Verely (LORDE,) men must lyue in bytternesse, & all my life must I passe ouer therin: For thou raysest me vp, and wakest me. But lo, I wilbe wel content with this bytternes.

17. देख, शान्ति ही के लिये मुझे बड़ी कडुआहट मिली; परन्तु तू ने स्नेह करके मुझे विनाश के गड़हे से निकाला है, क्योंकि मेरे सब पापों को तू ने अपनी पीठ के पीछे फेंक दिया है।

17. Neuertheles my couersacion hath so pleased ye, that thou woldest not make an ende of my life, so that thou hast cast all my synnes behynde thy backe.

18. क्योंकि अधोलोक तेरा धन्यवाद नहीं कर सकता, न मृत्यु तेरी स्तुति कर सकती है; जो कबर में पड़ें वे तेरी सच्चाई की आशा नहीं रख सकते

18. For hell prayseth not the, death doth not magnifie the. They that go downe into the graue, prayse not thy treuth:

19. जीवित, हो जीवित ही तेरा धन्यवाद करता है, जैसा मैं आज कर रहा हूं; पिता तेरी सच्चाई का समाचार पुत्रों को देता है।।

19. but the lyuynge, yee the lyuynge acknowlege the, like as I do this daye. The father telleth his children of thy faithfulnesse.

20. यहोवा मेरा उद्धार करेगा, इसलिये हम जीवन भर यहोवा के भवन में तारवाले बाजों पर अपने रचे हुए गीत गातें रहेंगे।।

20. Delyuer vs (o LORDE) and we wil synge prayses in thy house, all the dayes of oure life.

21. यशायाह ने कहा था, अंजीरों की एक टिकिया बनाकर हिजकिरयाह के फाड़े पर बान्धी जाए, तब वह बचेगा।

21. And Esay sayde: take a playster offyges, and laye it vpon the sore, so shal it be whole.

22. और हिजकिरयाह ने पूछा था कि इसका क्या चिन्ह है कि मैं यहोवा के भवन को फिर जाने पाऊंगा?

22. Then saide Ezechias: O what a greate thinge is this, that I shal go vp in to the house of the LORDE.
