1. फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, फिरोन के पास जाकर कह, कि इब्रियों का परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझ से इस प्रकार कहता है, कि मेरी प्रजा के लोगों को जाने दे, कि मेरी उपासना करें।

1. GOD said to Moses, 'Go to Pharaoh and tell him, 'GOD, the God of the Hebrews, says: Release my people so they can worship me.

2. और यदि तू उन्हें जाने न दे और अब भी पकड़े रहे,

2. If you refuse to release them and continue to hold on to them,

3. तो सुन, तेरे जो घोड़े, गदहे, ऊंट, गाय- बैल, भेड़- बकरी आदि पशु मैदान में हैं, उन पर यहोवा का हाथ ऐसा पड़ेगा कि बहुत भारी मरी होगी।

3. I'm giving you fair warning: GOD will come down hard on your livestock out in the fields--horses, donkeys, camels, cattle, sheep--striking them with a severe disease.

4. और यहोवा इस्राएलियों के पशुओं में और मिस्त्रियों के पशुओं में ऐसा अन्तर करेगा, कि जो इस्राएलियों के हैं उन में से कोई भी न मरेगा।

4. GOD will draw a sharp line between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt. Not one animal that belongs to the Israelites will die.''

5. फिर यहोवा ने यह कहकर एक समय ठहराया, कि मैं यह काम इस देश में कल करूंगा।

5. Then GOD set the time: 'Tomorrow GOD will do this thing.'

6. दूसरे दिन यहोवा ने ऐसा ही किया; और मि के तो सब पशु मर गए, परन्तु इस्राएलियों का एक भी पशु न मरा।

6. And the next day GOD did it. All the livestock of Egypt died, but not one animal of the Israelites died.

7. और फिरौन ने लोगों को भेजा, पर इस्राएलियों के पशुओं में से एक भी नहीं मरा था। तौभी फिरौन का मन सुन्न हो गया, और उस ने उन लोगों को जाने न दिया।

7. Pharaoh sent men to find out what had happened and there it was: none of the livestock of the Israelites had died--not one death. But Pharaoh stayed stubborn. He wouldn't release the people.

8. फिर यहोवा ने मूसा और हारून से कहा, कि तुम दोनों भट्टी में से एक एक मुट्ठी राख ले लो, और मूसा उसे फिरौन के साम्हने आकाश की ओर उड़ा दे।

8. GOD said to Moses and Aaron, 'Take fistfuls of soot from a furnace and have Moses throw it into the air right before Pharaoh's eyes;

9. तब वह सूक्ष्म धूल होकर सारे मि देश में मनुष्यों और पशुओं दोनों पर फफोले और फोड़े बन जाएगी।

9. it will become a film of fine dust all over Egypt and cause sores, an eruption of boils on people and animals throughout Egypt.'

10. सो वे भट्टी में की राख लेकर फिरौन के साम्हने खड़े हुए, और मूसा ने उसे आकाश की ओर उड़ा दिया, और वह मनुष्यों और पशुओं दोनों पर फफोले और फोड़े बन गई।

10. So they took soot from a furnace, stood in front of Pharaoh, and threw it up into the air. It caused boils to erupt on people and animals.

11. और उन फोड़ों के कारण जादूगर मूसा के साम्हने खड़े न रह सके, क्योंकि वे फोड़े जैसे सब मिस्त्रियों के वैसे ही जादूगरों के भी निकले थे।

11. The magicians weren't able to compete with Moses this time because of the boils--they were covered with boils just like everyone else in Egypt.

12. तब यहोवा ने फिरौन के मन को कठोर कर दिया, और जैसा यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा था, उस ने उसकी न सुनी।।

12. GOD hardened Pharaoh in his stubbornness. He wouldn't listen, just as GOD had said to Moses.

13. फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, बिहान को तड़के उठकर फिरौन के साम्हने खड़ा हो, और उस से कह इब्रियों का परमेश्वर यहोवा इस प्रकार कहता है, कि मेरी प्रजा के लोगों को जाने दे, कि वे मेरी उपासना करें।

13. GOD said to Moses, 'Get up early in the morning and confront Pharaoh. Tell him, 'GOD, the God of the Hebrews, says: Release my people so they can worship me.

14. नहीं तो अब की बार मैं तुझ पर, और तेरे कर्मचारियों और तेरी प्रजा पर सब प्रकार की विपत्तियां डालूंगा, जिससे तू जान ले कि सारी पृथ्वी पर मेरे तुल्य कोई दूसरा नहीं है।

14. This time I am going to strike you and your servants and your people with the full force of my power so you'll get it into your head that there's no one like me anywhere in all the Earth.

15. मैं ने तो अभी हाथ बढ़ाकर तुझे और तेरी प्रजा को मरी से मारा होता, और तू पृथ्वी पर से सत्यनाश हो गया होता;

15. You know that by now I could have struck you and your people with deadly disease and there would be nothing left of you, not a trace.

16. परन्तु सचमुच मैं ने इसी कारण तुझे बनाए रखा है, कि तुझे अपना सामर्थ्य दिखाऊं, और अपना नाम सारी पृथ्वी पर प्रसिद्ध करूं।

16. But for one reason only I've kept you on your feet: To make you recognize my power so that my reputation spreads in all the Earth.

17. क्या तू अब भी मेरी प्रजा के साम्हने अपने आप को बड़ा समझता है, और उन्हें जाने नहीं देता ?

17. You are still building yourself up at my people's expense. You are not letting them go.

18. सुन, कल मैं इसी समय ऐसे भारी भारी ओले बरसाऊंगा, कि जिन के तुल्य मि की नेव पड़ने के दिन से लेकर अब तक कभी नहीं पड़े।

18. So here's what's going to happen: At this time tomorrow I'm sending a terrific hailstorm--there's never been a storm like this in Egypt from the day of its founding until now.

19. सो अब लोगों को भेजकर अपने पशुओं को अपने मैदान में जो कुछ तेरा है सब को फुर्ती से आड़ में छिपा ले; नहीं तो जितने मनुष्य वा पशु मैदान में रहें और घर में इकट्ठे न किए जाएं उन पर ओले गिरेंगे, और वे मर जाएंगे।

19. So get your livestock under roof--everything exposed in the open fields, people and animals, will die when the hail comes down.''

20. इसलिये फिरौन के कर्मचारियों में से जो लोग यहोवा के वचन का भय मानते थे उन्हों ने तो अपने अपने सेवकों और पशुओं को घर में हाँक दिया।

20. All of Pharaoh's servants who had respect for GOD's word got their workers and animals under cover as fast as they could,

21. पर जिन्हों ने यहोवा के वचन पर मन न लगाया उन्हों ने अपने सेवकों और पशुओं को मैदान में रहने दिया।।

21. but those who didn't take GOD's word seriously left their workers and animals out in the field.

22. तक यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, अपना हाथ आकाश की ओर बढ़ा, कि सारे मि देश के मनुष्यों पशुओं और खेतों की सारी उपज पर ओले गिरें।

22. GOD said to Moses: 'Stretch your hands to the skies. Signal the hail to fall all over Egypt on people and animals and crops exposed in the fields of Egypt.'

23. तब मूसा ने अपनी लाठी को आकाश की ओर उठाया; और यहोवा मेघ गरजाने और ओले बरसाने लगा, और आग पृथ्वी तक आती रही। इस प्रकार यहोवा ने मि देश पर ओले बरसाए।

23. Moses lifted his staff to the skies and GOD sent peals of thunder and hail shot through with lightning strikes. GOD rained hail down on the land of Egypt.

24. जो ओले गिरते थे उनके साथ आग भी मिली हुई थी, और वे ओले इतने भारी थे कि जब से मि देश बसा था तब से मि भर में ऐसे ओले कभी न गिरे थे।

24. The hail came, hail and lightning--a fierce hailstorm. There had been nothing like it in Egypt in its entire history.

25. इसलिये मि भर के खेतों में क्या मनुष्य, क्या पशु, जितने थे सब ओलों से मारे गए, और ओलों से खेत की सारी उपज नष्ट हो गई, और मैदान के सब वृक्ष टूट गए।

25. The hail hit hard all over Egypt. Everything exposed out in the fields, people and animals and crops, was smashed. Even the trees in the fields were shattered.

26. केवल गोशेन देश में जहां इस्राएली बसते थे ओले नहीं गिरे।

26. Except for Goshen where the Israelites lived; there was no hail in Goshen.

27. तब फिरौन ने मूसा और हारून को बुलवा भेजा और उन से कहा, कि इस बार मैं ने पाप किया है; यहोवा धर्मी है, और मैं और मेरी प्रजा अधर्मी हैं।

27. Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron. He said, 'I've sinned for sure this time--GOD is in the right and I and my people are in the wrong.

28. मेघों का गरजना और ओलों का बरसना तो बहुत हो गया; अब भविष्य में यहोवा से बिनती करो; तब मैं तुम लोगों को जाने दूंगा, और तुम न रोके जाओगे।

28. Pray to GOD. We've had enough of GOD's thunder and hail. I'll let you go. The sooner you're out of here the better.'

29. मूसा ने उस से कहा, नगर से निकलते ही मैं यहोवा की ओर हाथ फैलाऊंगा, तब बादल का गरजना बन्द हो जाएगा, और ओले फिर न गिरेंगे, इस से तू जान लेगा कि पृथ्वी यहोवा ही की है।

29. Moses said, 'As soon as I'm out of the city, I'll stretch out my arms to GOD. The thunder will stop and the hail end so you'll know that the land is GOD's land.

30. तौभी मैं जानता हूं, कि न तो तू और न तेरे कर्मचारी यहोवा परमेश्वर का भय मानेंगे।

30. Still, I know that you and your servants have no respect for GOD.'

31. सन और जव तो ओलों से मारे गए, क्योंकि जव की बालें निकल चुकी थीं और सन में फूल लगे हुए थे।

31. (The flax and the barley were ruined, for they were just ripening,

32. पर गेहूं और कठिया गेहूं जो बढ़े न थे, इस कारण वे मारे न गए।

32. but the wheat and spelt weren't hurt--they ripen later.)

33. जब मूसा ने फिरौन के पास से नगर के बाहर निकलकर यहोवा की ओर हाथ फैलाए, तब बादल का गरजना और ओलों का बरसना बन्द हुआ, और फिर बहुत मेंह भूमि पर न पड़ा।

33. Moses left Pharaoh and the city and stretched out his arms to GOD. The thunder and hail stopped; the storm cleared.

34. यह देखकर कि मेंह और ओलों और बादल का गरजना बन्द हो गया फिरौन ने अपने कर्मचारियों समेत फिर अपने मन को कठोर करके पाप किया।

34. But when Pharaoh saw that the rain and hail and thunder had stopped, he kept right on sinning, stubborn as ever, both he and his servants.

35. और फिरौन का मन हठीला होता गया, और उस ने इस्राएलियों को जाने न दिया; जैसा कि यहोवा ने मूसा के द्वारा कहलवाया था।।

35. Pharaoh's heart turned rock-hard. He refused to release the Israelites, as GOD had ordered through Moses.
