1. झूठी बात न फैलाना। अन्यायी साक्षी होकर दुष्ट का साथ न देना।

1. 'Don't pass on malicious gossip. 'Don't link up with a wicked person and give corrupt testimony.

2. बुराई करने के लिये न तो बहुतों के पीछे हो लेना; और न उनके पीछे फिरके मुक में में न्याय बिगाड़ने को साक्षी देना;

2. Don't go along with the crowd in doing evil and don't fudge your testimony in a case just to please the crowd.

3. और कंगाल के मुक में में उसका भी पक्ष न करना।।

3. And just because someone is poor, don't show favoritism in a dispute.

4. यदि तेरे शत्रु का बैल वा गदहा भटकता हुआ तुझे मिले, तो उसे उसके पास अवश्य फेर ले आना।
मत्ती 5:44

4. 'If you find your enemy's ox or donkey loose, take it back to him.

5. फिर यदि तू अपने बैरी के गदहे को बोझ के मारे दबा हुआ देखे, तो चाहे उसको उसके स्वामी के लिये छुड़ाने के लिये तेरा मन न चाहे, तौभी अवश्य स्वामी का साथ देकर उसे छुड़ा लेना।।

5. If you see the donkey of someone who hates you lying helpless under its load, don't walk off and leave it. Help it up.

6. तेरे लोगों में से जो दरिद्र हों उसके मुक मे में न्याय न बिगाड़ना।

6. 'When there is a dispute concerning your poor, don't tamper with the justice due them.

7. झूठे मुक मे से दूर रहना, और निर्दोष और धर्मी को घात न करना, क्योंकि मैं दुष्ट को निर्दोष न ठहराऊंगा।

7. 'Stay clear of false accusations. Don't contribute to the death of innocent and good people. I don't let the wicked off the hook.

8. घूस न लेना, क्योंकि घूस देखने वालों को भी अन्धा कर देता, और धर्मियों की बातें पलट देता है।

8. 'Don't take bribes. Bribes blind perfectly good eyes and twist the speech of good people.

9. परदेशी पर अन्धेर न करना; तुम तो परदेशी के मन की बातें जानते हो, क्योंकि तुम भी मि देश में परदेशी थे।।

9. 'Don't take advantage of a stranger. You know what it's like to be a stranger; you were strangers in Egypt.

10. छ: वर्ष तो अपनी भूमि में बोना और उसकी उपज इकट्ठी करना;

10. 'Sow your land for six years and gather in its crops,

11. परन्तु सातवें वर्ष में उसको पड़ती रहने देना और वैसा ही छोड़ देना, तो तेरे भाई बन्धुओं में के दरिद्र लोग उस से खाने पाएं, और जो कुछ उन से भी बचे वह बनैले पशुओं के खाने के काम में आए। और अपनी दाख और जलपाई की बारियों को भी ऐसे ही करना।

11. but in the seventh year leave it alone and give it a rest so that your poor may eat from it. What they leave, let the wildlife have. Do the same with your vineyards and olive groves.

12. छ: दिन तक तो अपना काम काज करना, और सातवें दिन विश्राम करना; कि तेरे बैल और गदहे सुस्ताएं, और तेरी दासियों के बेटे और परदेशी भी अपना जी ठंडा कर सकें।

12. 'Work for six days and rest the seventh so your ox and donkey may rest and your servant and migrant workers may have time to get their needed rest.

13. और जो कुछ मैं ने तुम से कहा है उस में सावधान रहना; और दूसरे देवताओं के नाम की चर्चा न करना, वरन वे तुम्हारे मुंह से सुनाई भी न दें।

13. 'Listen carefully to everything I tell you. Don't pay attention to other gods--don't so much as mention their names.

14. प्रति वर्ष तीन बार मेरे लिये पर्ब्ब मानना।

14. 'Three times a year you are to hold a festival for me.

15. अखमीरी रोटी का पर्ब्ब मानना; उस में मेरी आज्ञा के अनुसार अबीब महीने के नियत समय पर सात दिन तक अखमीरी रोटी खाया करना, क्योंकि उसी महीने में तुम मि से निकल आए। और मुझ को कोई छूछे हाथ अपना मुंह न दिखाए।

15. 'Hold the spring Festival of Unraised Bread when you eat unraised bread for seven days at the time set for the month of Abib, as I commanded you. That was the month you came out of Egypt. No one should show up before me empty-handed.

16. और जब तेरी बोई हुई खेती की पहिली उपज तैयार हो, तब कटनी का पर्ब्ब मानना। और वर्ष के अन्त में जब तू परिश्रम के फल बटोर के ढेर लगाए, तब बटोरन का पर्ब्ब मानना।

16. 'Hold the summer Festival of Harvest when you bring in the firstfruits of all your work in the fields. 'Hold the autumn Festival of Ingathering at the end of the season when you bring in the year's crops.

17. प्रति वर्ष तीनों बार तेरे सब पुरूष प्रभु यहोवा को अपना मुंह दिखाएं।।

17. 'Three times a year all your males are to appear before the Master, GOD.

18. मेरे बलिपशु का लोहू खमीरी रोटी के संग न चढ़ाना, और न मेरे पर्ब्ब के उत्तम बलिदान में से कुछ बिहान तक रहने देना।

18. 'Don't offer the blood of a sacrifice to me with anything that has yeast in it. 'Don't leave the fat from my festival offering out overnight.

19. अपनी भूमि की पहिली उपज का पहिला भाग अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के भवन में ले आना। बकरी का बच्चा उसकी माता के दूध में न पकाना।।

19. 'Bring the choice first produce of the year to the house of your GOD. 'Don't boil a kid in its mother's milk.

20. सुन, मैं एक दूत तेरे आगे आगे भेजता हूं जो मार्ग में तेरी रक्षा करेगा, और जिस स्थान को मै ने तैयार किया है उस में तुझे पहुंचाएगा।

20. 'Now get yourselves ready. I'm sending my Angel ahead of you to guard you in your travels, to lead you to the place that I've prepared.

21. उसके साम्हने सावधान रहना, और उसकी मानना, उसका विरोध न करना, क्योंकि वह तुम्हारा अपराध क्षमा न करेगा; इसलिये कि उस में मेरा नाम रहता है।

21. Pay close attention to him. Obey him. Don't go against him. He won't put up with your rebellions because he's acting on my authority.

22. और यदि तू सचमुच उसकी माने और जो कुछ मैं कहूं वह करे, तो मै तेरे शत्रुओं का शत्रु और तेरे द्रोहियों का द्रोही बनूंगा।
1 पतरस 2:9

22. But if you obey him and do everything I tell you, I'll be an enemy to your enemies, I'll fight those who fight you.

23. इस रीति मेरा दूत तेरे आगे आगे चलकर तुझे एमोरी, हित्ती, परज्जी, कनानी, हिब्बी, और यबूसी लोगों के यहां पहुंचाएगा, और मैं उनको सत्यनाश कर डालूंगा।

23. When my Angel goes ahead of you and leads you to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, I'll clear the country of them.

24. उनके देवताओं को दण्डवत् न करना, और न उनकी उपासना करना, और न उनके से काम करना, वरन उन मूरतों को पूरी रीति से सत्यानाश कर डालना, और उन लोगों की लाटों के टुकडे टुकडे कर देना।

24. So don't worship or serve their gods; don't do anything they do because I'm going to wipe them right off the face of the Earth and smash their sacred phallic pillars to bits.

25. और तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की उपासना करना, तब वह तेरे अन्न जल पर आशीष देगा, और तेरे बीच में से रोग दूर करेगा।

25. 'But you--you serve your GOD and he'll bless your food and your water. I'll get rid of the sickness among you;

26. तेरे देश में न तो किसी का गर्भ गिरेगा और न कोई बांझ होगी; और तेरी आयु मैं पूरी करूंगा।

26. there won't be any miscarriages nor barren women in your land. I'll make sure you live full and complete lives.

27. जितने लोगों के बीच तू जायेगा उन सभों के मन में मै अपना भय पहिले से ऐसा समवा दूंगा कि उनको व्याकुल कर दूंगा, और मैं तुझे सब शत्रुओं की पीठ दिखाऊंगा।

27. 'I'll send my Terror on ahead of you and throw those peoples you're approaching into a panic. All you'll see of your enemies is the backs of their necks.

28. और मैं तुझ से पहिले बर्रों को भेजूंगा जो हिब्बी, कनानी, और हित्ती लोगों को तेरे साम्हने से भगा के दूर कर देंगी।

28. 'And I'll send Despair on ahead of you. It will push the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites out of your way.

29. मैं उनको तेरे आगे से एक ही वर्ष में तो न निकाल दूंगा, ऐसा न हो कि देश उजाड़ हो जाए, और बनैले पशु बढ़कर तुझे दु:ख देने लगें।

29. I won't get rid of them all at once lest the land grow up in weeds and the wild animals take over.

30. जब तक तू फूल फलकर देश को अपने अधिकार में न कर ले तब तक मैं उन्हें तेरे आगे से थोड़ा थोड़ा करके निकालता रहूंगा।

30. Little by little I'll get them out of there while you have a chance to get your crops going and make the land your own.

31. मैं लाल समुद्र से लेकर पलिश्तियों के समुद्र तक और जंगल से लेकर महानद तक के देश को तेरे वश में कर दूंगा; मैं उस देश के निवासियों को भी तेरे वश में कर दूंगा, और तू उन्हें अपने साम्हने से बरबस निकालेगा।

31. I will make your borders stretch from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea and from the Wilderness to the Euphrates River. I'm turning everyone living in that land over to you; go ahead and drive them out.

32. तू न तो उन से वाचा बान्धना और न उनके देवताओं से।

32. 'Don't make any deals with them or their gods.

33. वे तेरे देश में रहने न पाएं, ऐसा न हो कि वे तुझ से मेरे विरूद्ध पाप कराएं; क्योंकि यदि तू उनके देवताओं की उपासना करे, तो यह तेरे लिये फंदा बनेगा।।

33. They are not to stay in the same country with you lest they get you to sin by worshiping their gods. Beware. That's a huge danger.'
