1. हे परमेश्वर, जब मैं तेरी दोहाई दूं, तब मेरी सुन; शत्रु के उपजाए हुए भय के समय मेरे प्राण की रक्षा कर।

1. i1 [To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] i0 par Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation; preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

2. कुकर्मियों की गोष्ठी से, और अनर्थकारियों के हुल्लड़ से मेरी आड़ हो।

2. Hide me from the counsel of the wicked, from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity,

3. उन्हों ने अपनी जीभ को तलवार की नाईं तेज किया है, और अपने कड़वे बचनों के तीरों को चढ़ाया है;

3. who sharpen their tongue like a sword. They have bent their bows to shoot their arrows; even bitter words,

4. ताकि छिपकर खरे मनुष्य को मारें; वे निडर होकर उसको अचानक मारते भी हैं।

4. so that they may shoot at the perfect one from a hiding place; suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.

5. वे बुरे काम करने को हियाव बान्धते हैं; वे फन्दे लगने के विषय बातचीत करते हैं; और कहते हैं, कि हम को कौन देखेगा?

5. They encourage themselves in an evil plan; they talk of laying snares secretly; they say, Who shall see them?

6. वे कुटिलता की युक्ति निकालते हैं; और कहते हैं, कि हम ने पक्की युक्ति खोजकर निकाली है। क्योंकि मनुष्य का मन और हृदय अथाह हैं!

6. They devise injustice; they have finished searching out a plot. Yea, the inward part of man and the heart are unfathomable.

7. परन्तु परमेश्वर उन पर तीर चलाएगा; वे अचानक घायल हो जाएंगे।

7. But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded.

8. वे अपने ही वचनों के कारण ठोकर खाकर गिर पड़ेंगे; जितने उन पर दृष्टि करेंगे वे सब अपने अपने सिर हिलाएंगे

8. So they shall stumble over their own tongues; everyone who sees them shall flee away.

9. तब सारे लोग डर जाएंगे; और परमेश्वर के कामों का बखान करंगे, और उसके कार्यक्रम को भली भांति समझेंगे।।

9. And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall prudently comprehend His works.

10. धर्मी तो यहोवा के कारण आनन्दित होकर उसका शरणागत होगा, और सब सीधे मनवाले बड़ाई करेंगे।।

10. The righteous shall be glad in Jehovah, and shall trust in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
