1. बाबुल की नहरों के किनारे हम लोग बैठ गए, और सिरयोन को स्मरण करके रो पड़े!

6. यदि मैं तुझे स्मरण न रखूं, यदि मैं यरूशलेम को अपने सब आनन्द से श्रेष्ठ न जानूं, तो मेरी जीभ तालू से चिपट जाए!

6. May my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth, if I do not remember you, and do not give Jerusalem priority over whatever gives me the most joy.

7. हे यहोवा, यरूशलेम के दिन को एदोमियों के विरूद्ध स्मरण कर, कि वे क्योंकर कहते थे, ढाओ! उसको नेव से ढा दो।
