1. हे स्वर्ग में विराजमान मैं अपनी आंखें तेरी ओर लगाता हूं!

2. देख, जैसे दासों की आंखें अपने स्वामियों के हाथ की ओर, और जैसे दासियों की आंखें अपनी स्वामिनी के हाथ की ओर लगी रहती है, वैसे ही हमारी आंखें हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा की ओर उस समय तक लगी रहेंगी, जब तक वह हम पर अनुग्रह न करे।।

2. Lo! as the eyes of men-servants are unto the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid-servant, unto the hand of her mistress, so, are our eyes, unto Yahweh our God, until that he show us favour.

3. हम पर अनुग्रह कर, हे यहोवा, हम पर अनुग्रह कर, क्योंकि हम अपमान से बहुत ही भर गए हैं।

3. Show us favour, O Yahweh, show us favour, for, exceedingly, are we sated with contempt:

4. हमारा जीव सुखी लोगों के ठट्ठों से, और अहंकारियों के अपमान से बहुत ही भर गया है।।

4. Exceeding sated therewith, is our soul, The scorn of the careless, The contempt of the proud.
