1. फिर इस बात पर भी मेरा हृदय कांपता है, और अपने स्थान से उछल पड़ता है।

1. 'When I hear the thunder, my heart pounds. It beats faster inside me.

2. उसके बोलने का शब्द तो सुनो, और उस शब्द को जो उसके मुंह से निकलता है सुनो।

2. Listen! Listen to the roar of his voice! Listen to the thunder that comes from him!

3. वह उसको सारे आकाश के तले, और अपनी बिजली को पृथ्वी की छोर तक भेजता है।

3. He sends his lightning across the sky. It reaches from one end of the earth to the other.

4. उसके पीछे गरजने का शब्द होता है; वह अपने प्रतापी शब्द से गरजता है, और जब उसका शब्द सुनाई देता है तब बिजली लगातार चमकने लगती है।

4. Next comes the sound of his roaring thunder. He thunders with his majestic voice. When his voice fills the air, he doesn't hold anything back.

5. ईश्वर गरजकर अपना शब्द अदभ़ुत रीति से सुनाता है, और बड़े बड़े काम करता है जिनको हम नहीं समझते।

5. God's voice thunders in wonderful ways. We'll never understand the great things he does.

6. वह तो हिम से कहता है, पृथ्वी पर गिर, और इसी प्रकार मेंह को भी और मूसलाधार वर्षा को भी ऐसी ही आज्ञा देता है।

6. He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth.' He tells the rain, 'Pour down your mighty waters.'

7. वह सब मनुष्यों के हाथ पर मुहर कर देता है, जिस से उसके बनाए हुए सब मनुष्य उसको पहचानें।

7. He stops everyone from working. He wants them to see his work.

8. तब वनपशु गुफाओं में घुस जाते, और अपनी अपनी मांदों में रहते हैं।

8. The animals go inside. They remain in their dens.

9. दक्खिन दिशा से बवणडर और उतरहिया से जाड़ा आता है।

9. The storm comes out of its storeroom in the heavens. The cold comes from the driving winds.

10. ईश्वर की श्वास की फूंक से बरफ पड़ता है, तब जलाशयों का पाट जम जाता है।

10. The breath of God produces ice. The shallow water freezes over.

11. फिर वह घटाओं को भाफ़ से लादता, और अपनी बिजली से भरे हुए उजियाले का बादल दूर तक फैलाता है।

11. He loads the clouds with moisture. He scatters his lightning through them.

12. वे उसकी बुध्दि की युक्ति से इधर उधर फिराए जाते हैं, इसलिये कि जो आज्ञा वह उनको दे, उसी को वे बसाई हुई पृथ्वी के ऊपर पूरी करें।

12. He directs the clouds to circle above the surface of the whole earth. They do everything he commands them to do.

13. चाहे ताड़ना देने के लिये, चाहे अपनी पृथ्वी की भलाई के लिये वा मनुष्यों पर करूणा करने के लिये वह उसे भेजे।

13. He tells the clouds to punish people. Or he brings them to water his earth and show his love.

14. हे अरयूब ! इस पर कान लगा और सुन ले; चुपचाप खड़ा रह, और ईश्वर के आश्चर्यकम का विचार कर।

14. 'Job, listen to me. Stop and think about the wonderful things God does.

15. क्या तू जानता है, कि ईश्वर क्योंकर अपने बादलों को आज्ञा देता, और अपने बादल की बिजली को चमकाता है?

15. Do you know how he controls the clouds? Do you understand how he makes his lightning flash?

16. क्या तू घटाओं का तौलना, वा सर्वज्ञानी के आश्चर्यकर्म जानता है?

16. Do you know how the clouds stay up in the sky? Do you understand the wonders of the One who has perfect knowledge?

17. जब पृथ्वी पर दक्खिनी हवा ही के कारण से सन्नाटा रहता है तब तेरे वस्त्रा गर्म हो जाते हैं?

17. Even your clothes are too hot for you when the land lies quiet under the south wind.

18. फिर क्या तू उसके साथ आकाशमणडल को तान सकता है, जो ढाले हुए दर्पण के तुल्य दृढ़ है?

18. Can you help God spread out the skies? They are as hard as a mirror that's made out of bronze.

19. तू हमें यह सिखा कि उस से क्या कहना चाहिये? क्योंकि हम अन्धियारे के कारण अपना व्याख्यान ठीक नहीं रच सकते।

19. 'Job, tell us what we should say to God. We can't prepare our case because our minds are dark.

20. क्या उसको बनाया जाए कि मैं बोलना चाहता हूँ? क्या कोई अपना सत्यानाश चाहता है?

20. Should he be told that I want to speak? Would any man ask to be destroyed by him?

21. अभी तो आकाशमणडल में का बड़ा प्रकाश देखा नहीं जाता जब वायु चलकर उसको शुठ्ठ करती है।

21. No one can look at the sun. It's too bright after the wind has swept the skies clean.

22. उत्तर दिशा से सुनहली ज्योति आती है ईश्वर भययोग्य तेज से आभूषित है।

22. Out of the north, God comes in his shining glory. He comes in all of his wonderful majesty.

23. सर्वशक्तिमान जो अति सामथ है, और जिसका भेद हम पा नहीं सकते, वह न्याय और पूर्ण धर्म को छोड़ अत्याचार नहीं कर सकता।

23. We can't reach up to the Mighty One. He is lifted high because of his power. Everything he does is fair and right. So he doesn't crush people.

24. इसी कारण सज्जन उसका भय मानते हैं, और जो अपनी दृष्टि में बुध्दिमान हैं, उन पर वह दृष्टि नहीं करता।

24. That's why they have respect for him. He cares about all those who are wise.'
