1. फिर यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा।

1. The LORD God said:

2. हे मतुष्य के सन्तान अपना मुख इस्राएल के पहाड़ों की ओर करके उनके विरूद्ध भविष्यद्वाणी कर,

2. Ezekiel, son of man, face the hills of Israel and tell them:

3. और कह, हे इस्राएल के पहाड़ो, प्रभु यहोवा का वचन सुनो ! प्रभु यहोवा पहाड़ों और पहाड़ियों से, और नालों और तराइयों से यों कहता है, देखो, मैं तुम पर तलवार चलवाऊंगा, और तुम्हारे पूजा के ऊंचे स्थानों को नाश करूंगा।

3. Listen, you mountains and hills, and every valley and gorge! I, the LORD, am about to turn against you and crush all the places where foreign gods are worshiped.

4. तुम्हारी वेदियां उजड़ेंगी और तुम्हारी सूर्य की प्रतिमाएं तोड़ी जाएंगी; और मैं तुम में से मारे हुओं को तुम्हारी मूरतों के आगे फेंक दूंगा।

4. Every altar will be smashed, and in front of the idols I will put to death the people who worship them.

5. मैं इस्राएलियों की लोथों को उनकी मूरतों के साम्हने रखूंगा, और उनकी हडि्डयों को तुम्हारी वेदियों के आस पास छितरा दूंगां

5. Dead bodies and bones will be lying around the idols and the altars.

6. तुम्हारे जितने बसाए हुए नगर हैं, वे सब ऐसे उजड़ जाएंगे, कि तुम्हारे पूजा के ऊंचे स्थान भी उजाड़ हो जाएंगे, तुम्हारी वेदियां उजड़ेंगी और ढाई जाएंगी, तुम्हारी मूरतें जाती रहेंगी और तुम्हारी सूर्य की प्रतिमाएं काटी जाएंगी; और तुम्हारी सारी कारीगरी मिटाई जाएगी।

6. Every town in Israel will be destroyed to make sure that each shrine, idol, and altar is smashed--everything the Israelites made will be a pile of ruins.

7. और तुम्हारे बीच मारे हुए गिरेंगे, और तुम जान लोगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

7. All over the country, your people will die. And those who survive will know that I, the LORD, did these things.

8. तौभी मैं कितनों को बचा रखूंगा। सो जब तुम देश देश में तितर- बितर होगे, तब अन्यजातियों के बीच तुम्हारे कुछ लोग तलवार से बच जाएंगे।

8. I will let some of the people live through this punishment, but I will scatter them among the nations,

9. और वे बचे हुए जोग, उन जातियों के बीच, जिन में वे बंधुए होकर जाएंगे, मुझे स्मरण करेंगे; और यह भी कि हमारा व्यभिचारी हृदय यहोवा से कैसे हट गया है और व्यभिचारिणी की सी हमारी आंखें मूरतों पर कैसी लगी हैं जिस से यहोवा का मन टूटा है। इस रीति से उन बुराइयों के कारण, जो उन्हों ने अपने सारे घिनौने काम करके की हैं, वे अपनी दृष्टि में घिनौने ठहरेंगे।

9. where they will be prisoners. And when they think of me, they will realize that they disgraced me by rebelling and by worshiping idols. They will hate themselves for the evil things they did,

10. तब वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ, और उनकी सारी हानि करने को मैं ने जो यह कहा है, उसे व्यर्थ नहीं कहा।

10. and they will know that I am the LORD and that my warnings must be taken seriously.

11. प्रभु यहोवा यों कहता है, कि अपना हाथ मारकर और अपना पांव पटककर कह, इस्राएल के घराने के सारे घिनौने कामों पर हाय, हाय, क्योंकि वे तलवार, भूख, और मरी से नाश हो जाएंगे।

11. The LORD God then said: Ezekiel, beat your fists together and stomp your feet in despair! Moan in sorrow, because the people of Israel have done disgusting things and now will be killed by enemy troops, or they will die from starvation and disease.

12. जो दूर हो वह मरी से मरेगा, और जो निकट हो वह तलवार से मार डाला जाएगा; और जो बचकर नगर में रहते हुए घेरा जाए, वह भूख से मरेगा। इस भांति मैं अपनी जलजलाहट उन पर पूरी रीति से उतारूंगा।

12. Those who live far away will be struck with deadly diseases. Those who live nearby will be killed in war. And the ones who are left will starve to death. I will let loose my anger on them!

13. और जब हर एक ऊंची पहाड़ी और पहाड़ों की हर एक चोटी पर, और हर एक हरे पेड़ के नीचे, और हर एक घने बांजवृक्ष की छाया में, जहां जहां वे अपनी सब मूरतों को सुखदायक सुगन्ध द्रव्य चढ़ाते हैं, वहां उनके मारे हुए लोग अपनी वेदियों के आस पास अपनी मूरतों के बीच में पड़े रहेंगे; तब तुम लोग जान लोगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

13. These people used to offer incense to idols at altars built on hills and mountaintops and in the shade of large oak trees. But when they see dead bodies lying around those altars, they will know that I am the LORD.

14. मैं अपना हाथ उनके विरूद्ध बढ़ाकर उस देश को सारे घरों समेत जंगल से ले दिबला की ओर तक उजाड़ ही उजाड़ कर दूंगा। तब वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

14. I will make their country a barren wasteland, from the Southern Desert to the town of Diblah in the north. Then they will know that I, the LORD, have done these things.
