1. When Jeremiah finished telling all the people the whole Message that their GOD had sent him to give them--all these words--

2. तब होशाया के पुत्रा अजर्याह और कारेह के पुत्रा योहानान और सब अभिमानी पुरूषों ने यिर्मयाह से कहा, तू झूठ बोलता है। हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुझे यह कहने के लिये नहीं भेजा कि मिस्र में रहने के लिये मत जाओ;

2. Azariah son of Hoshaiah and Johanan son of Kareah, backed by all the self-important men, said to Jeremiah, 'Liar! Our GOD never sent you with this message telling us not to go to Egypt and live there.

3. परन्तु नेरिरयाह का पुत्रा बारूक तुझ को हमारे विरूद्व उसकाता है कि हम कसदियों के हाथ में पड़ें और वे हम को मार डालें वा बंधुआ करके बाबुल को ले जाएं।

3. Baruch son of Neriah is behind this. He has turned you against us. He's playing into the hands of the Babylonians so we'll either end up being killed or taken off to exile in Babylon.'

4. सो कारेह का पुत्रा योहानान और दलों के सब प्रधानों और सब लोगों ने यहोवा की यह आज्ञा न मानी कि वे यहूदा के देश में ही रहें।

4. Johanan son of Kareah and the army officers, and the people along with them, wouldn't listen to GOD's Message that they stay in the land of Judah and live there.

5. Johanan son of Kareah and the army officers gathered up everyone who was left from Judah, who had come back after being scattered all over the place--

6. the men, women, and children, the king's daughters, all the people that Nebuzaradan captain of the bodyguard had left in the care of Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, and last but not least, Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch son of Neriah.

7. और यहोवा की आज्ञा न मानकर वे मिस्र देश में तहपन्हेस नगर तक आ गए।

7. They entered the land of Egypt in total disobedience of GOD's Message and arrived at the city of Tahpanhes.

8. तब यहोवा का यह वचन तहपन्हेस में यिर्मयाह के पास पहुंचो

8. While in Tahpanhes, GOD's Word came to Jeremiah:

9. अपने हाथ से बड़े पत्थर ले, और यहूदी पुरूषों के साम्हने उस ईट के चबूतरे में जो तहपन्हेस में फिरौन के भवन के द्वार के पास है, चूना फेर के छिपा दे,

9. 'Pick up some large stones and cover them with mortar in the vicinity of the pavement that leads up to the building set aside for Pharaoh's use in Tahpanhes. Make sure some of the men of Judah are watching.

10. और उन पुरूषों से कह, कि इस्राएल का परमेश्वर, सेनाओं का यहोवा, यों कहता है, देखो, मैं बाबुल के राजा अपने सेवक नबूकदनेस्सर को बुलवा भेजूंगा, और वह अपना सिंहासन इन पत्थरों के ऊपर जो मैं ने छिपा रखे हैं, रखेगा; और अपना छत्रा इनके ऊपर तनवाएगा।

10. 'Then address them: 'This is what GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies says: Be on the lookout! I'm sending for and bringing Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon--my servant, mind you!--and he'll set up his throne on these very stones that I've had buried here and he'll spread out his canopy over them.

11. वह आके मिस्र देश को मारेगा, तब जो मरनेवाले हों वे मृत्यु के वश में, जो बंधुए होनेवाले हों वे बंधुआई में, और जो तलवार के लिये हें वे तलवार के वश में कर दिए जाएंगे।

11. He'll come and absolutely smash Egypt, sending each to his assigned fate: death, exile, slaughter.

12. मैं मिस्र के देवालयों में आग लगाऊंगा; और वह उन्हें फुंकवा देगा और बंधुआई में ले जाएगा; और जैसा कोई चरवाहा अपना वस्त्रा ओढ़ता है, वैसा ही वह मिस्र देश को समेट लेगा; और तब बेखटके चला जाएगा।

12. He'll burn down the temples of Egypt's gods. He'll either burn up the gods or haul them off as booty. Like a shepherd who picks lice from his robes, he'll pick Egypt clean. And then he'll walk away without a hand being laid on him.

13. वह मिस्र देश के सूर्यगृह के खम्भों को तुड़वा डालेगा; और मिस्र के देवालयों को आग लगाकर फूंकवा देगा।

13. He'll shatter the sacred obelisks at Egypt's House of the Sun and make a huge bonfire of the temples of Egypt's gods.''
