1. योशिरयाह के पुत्रा यहूदा के राजा यहोयाकीम के राज्य के चौथे वर्ष में जो बाबुल के राजा नबूकदनेस्सर के राज्य का पहिला वर्ष था,

1. The word that came to Ieremiah, concerning all the people of Iudah in the fourth yeere of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah that was in the first yeere of Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel:

2. यहोवा का जो वचन यिर्मयाह नबी के पास पहुंचा, और जिसे यिर्मयाह नबी ने सब यहूदियों और यरूशलेम के सब निवासियों से कहा, वह यह हैे

2. The which Ieremiah the Prophet spake vnto all the people of Iudah, and to all the inhabitants of Ierusalem, saying,

3. आमोन के पुत्रा यहूदा के राजा योशिरयाह के राज्य के तेरहवें वर्ष से लेकर आज के दिन तक अर्थात् तेईस वर्ष से यहोवा का वचन मेरे पास पहुंचता आया हे; और मैं उसे बड़े यत्न के साथ तुम से कहता आया हूँ; परन्तु तुम ने उसे नहीं सुना।

3. From the thirteenth yeere of Iosiah the sonne of Amon King of Iudah, euen vnto this day (that is the three and twentieth yeere) the word of the Lord hath come vnto mee, and I haue spoken vnto you rising earely and speaking, but ye woulde not heare.

4. और यद्यपि यहोवा तुम्हारे पास अपने सारे दासों अथवा भविष्यद्वक्ताओं को भी यह कहने के लिये बड़े यत्न से भेजता आया है

4. And the Lord hath sent vnto you all his seruantes the Prophets, rising early and sending them, but yee would not heare, nor encline your eares to obey.

5. कि अपनी अपनी बुरी चाल और अपने अपने बुरे कामों से फिरो : तब जो देश यहोवा ने प्राचीनकाल में तुम्हारे पितरों को और तुम को भी सदा के लिये दिया है उस पर बसे रहने पाओगे; परन्तु तुम ने न तो सुना और न कान लगाया है।

5. They sayde, Turne againe now euery one from his euill way, and from the wickednes of your inuentions, and ye shall dwell in the lande that the Lord hath giuen vnto you, and to your fathers for euer and euer.

6. और दूसरे देवताओं के पीछे होकर उनकी उपासना और उनको दण्डवत् मत करो, और न अपनी बनाई हुई वस्तुओं के द्वारा मुझे रिस दिलाओ; तब मैं तुम्हारी कुछ हानि न करूंगा।

6. And go not after other gods to serue them and to worshippe them, and prouoke me not to anger with the workes of your hands, and I will not punish you.

7. यह सुनने पर भी तुम ने मेरी नहीं मानी, वरन अपनी बनाई हुई वस्तुओं के द्वारा मुझे रिस दिलाते आए हो जिस से तुम्हारी हानि ही हो सकती है, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

7. Neuerthelesse ye would not heare me, saith the Lord, but haue prouoked mee to anger with the workes of your hands to your owne hurt.

8. इसलिये सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है कि तुम ने जो मेरे वचन नहीं माने,

8. Therefore thus saith the Lord of hostes, Because ye haue not heard my wordes,

9. जसलिये सुनो, मैं उत्तर में रहनेवाले सब कुलों को बुलाऊंगा, और अपने दास बाबुल के राजा नबूकदनेस्सर को बुलवा भेजूंगा; और उन सभों को इस देश और इसके निवासियों के विरूद्ध और इसके आस पास की सब जातियों के विरूद्ध भी ले आऊंगा; और इन सब देशों का मैं सत्यानाश करके उन्हें ऐसा उजाड़ दूंगा कि लोग इन्हें देखकर ताली बजाएंगे; वरन ये सदा उजड़े ही रहेंगे, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

9. Beholde, I will send and take to mee all the families of the North, saith the Lord, and Nebuchad-nezzar the King of Babel my seruant, and will bring them against this lande, and against the inhabitantes thereof, and against all these nations rounde about, and will destroy them, and make them an astonishment and an hissing, and a continuall desolation.

10. और मैं ऐसा करूंगा कि इन में न तो हर्ष और न आनन्द का शब्द सुनाई पड़ेगा, और न दुल्हे वा दुल्हिन का, और न चक्की का भी शब्द सुनाई पड़ेगा और न इन में दिया जलेगा।

10. Moreouer I will take from them the voyce of mirth and the voyce of gladnesse, the voyce of the bridegrome and the voyce of the bride, the noise of the milstones, and the light of the candle.

11. सारी जातियों का यह देश उजाड़ ही उजाड़ होगा, और ये सब जातियां सत्तर वर्ष तक बाबुल के राजा के आधीन रहेंगी।

11. And this whole land shalbe desolate, and an astonishment, and these nations shall serue the King of Babel seuentie yeeres.

12. जब सत्तर वर्ष बीत चुकें, तब मैं बाबुल के राजा और उस जाति के लोगों और कसदियों के देश के सब निवासियों को अर्ध्म का दण्ड दूंगा, यहोवा की यह वाणी है; और उस देश को सदा के लिये उजाड़ दूंगा।

12. And when the seuentie yeres are accomplished, I will visite the King of Babel and that nation, saith the Lord, for their iniquities, euen the land of the Caldeans, and will make it a perpetuall desolation,

13. मैं उस देश में अपने वे सब वचन पूरे करूंगा जो मैं ने उसके विषय में कहे हैं, और जितने वचन यिर्मयाह ने सारी जातियों के विरूद्ध भविष्यद्वाणी करके पुस्तक में लिखे हैं।

13. And I will bring vpon that lande all my wordes which I haue pronounced against it, euen all that is written in this booke, which Ieremiah hath prophecied against all nations.

14. क्योंकि बहुत सी जातियों के लोग और बड़े बड़े राजा भी उन से अपनी सेवा कराएंगे; और मैं उनको उनकी करनी का फल भुगताऊंगा।

14. For many nations, and great Kings shall euen serue themselues of them: thus will I recompense them according to their deedes, and according to the workes of their owne handes.

15. इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा ने मुझ से यों कहा, मेरे हाथ से इस जलजलाहट के दाखमधु का कटोरा लेकर उन सब जातियों को पिला दे जिनके पास मैं तुझे भेजता हूँ।

15. For thus hath the Lord God of Israel spoken vnto me, Take the cuppe of wine of this mine indignation at mine hand, and cause all the nations, to whome I sende thee, to drinke it.

16. वे उसे पीकर उस तलवार के कारण जो मैं उनके बीच में चलाऊंगा लड़खड़ाएंगे और बावले हो जाएंगे।

16. And they shall drinke, and be moued and be mad, because of the sworde that I will sende among them.

17. सो मैं ने यहोवा के हाथ से वह कटोरा लेकर उन सब जातियों को जिनके पास यहोवा ने मुझे भेजा, पिला दिया।

17. Then tooke I the cup at the Lordes hand, and made all people to drinke, vnto whome the Lord had sent me:

18. अर्थात् यरूशलेम और यहूदा के नगरों के निवासियों को, और उनके राजाओं और हाकिमों को पिलाया, ताकि उनका देश उजाड़ हो जाए और लोग ताली बजाएं, और उसकी उपमा देकर शाप दिया करें; जैसा आजकल होता है।

18. Euen Ierusalem, and the cities of Iudah, and the Kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them desolate, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse, as appeareth this day:

19. और मिस्र के राजा फिरौन और उसके कर्मचारियों, हाकिमों, और सारी प्रजा को;

19. Pharaoh also, King of Egypt, and his seruants, and his princes, and all his people:

20. और सब दोगले मनुष्यों की जातियों को और उस देश के सब राजाओं को; और पलिश्तियों के देश के सब राजाओं को और अश्कलोन अज्जा और एक्रोन के और अशदोद के बचे हुए लोगों को;

20. And all sortes of people, and all the Kings of the lande of Vz: and all the Kings of the lande of the Philistims, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod:

21. और एदोनियों, मोआबियों और अम्मोनियों को और सारे राजाओं को;

21. Edom, and Moab, and the Ammonites,

22. और सीदोन के सब राजाओं को, और समुद्र पार के देशों के राजाओं को;

22. And all the Kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the Kings of the Yles, that are beyonde the Sea,

23. फिर ददानियों, तेमाइयों और बूजियों को और जितने अपने गाल के बालों को मुंड़ा डालते हैं, उन सभों को भी;

23. And Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that dwell in the vttermost corners,

24. और अरब के सब राजाओं को और जंगल में रहनेवाले दोगले मनुष्यों के सब राजाओं को;

24. And all the Kings of Arabia, and all the Kings of Arabia, that dwell in the desert,

25. और जिम्री, एलाम और मादै के सब राजाओं को;

25. And all the Kings of Zimri, and all the Kings of Elam, and all the Kings of the Medes,

26. और क्या निकट क्या दूर के उत्तर दिशा के सब राजाओं को एक संग पिलाया, निदान धरती भर में रहनेवाले जगत के राज्यों के सब लोगों को मैं ने पिलाया। और इन सब के पीछे शेषक के राजा को भी पीना पड़ेगा।

26. And all the Kings of the North, farre and neere one to another, and all the kingdomes of the worlde, which are vpon the earth, and the king of Sheshach shall drinke after them.

27. तब तू उन से यह कहना, सेनाओं का यहोवा जो इस्राएल का परमेश्वर है, यों कहता है, पीओ, और मतवाले हो और छाँट करो, गिर पड़ो और फिर कभी न उठो, क्योंकि यह उस तलवार के कारण से होगा जो मैं तुम्हारे बीच में चलाऊंगा।

27. Therefore say thou vnto them, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Drinke and bee drunken, and spewe and fall, and rise no more, because of the sworde, which I will sende among you.

28. और यदि वे तेरे हाथ से यह कटोरा लेकर पीने से इनकार करें तो उन से कहना, सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है कि तुम को निश्चय पीना पड़ेगा।

28. But if they refuse to take the cuppe at thine hande to drinke, then tell them, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, Ye shall certainely drinke.

29. देखो, जो नगर मेरा कहलाता है, मैं पहिले उसी में विपत्ति डालने लगूंगा, फिर क्या तुम लोग निदष ठहरके बचोगे? तुम निदष ठहरके न बचोगे, क्योंकि मैं पृथ्वी के सब रहनेवालों पर तलवार चलाने पर हूँ, सेनाओं के यहोवा की यही वाणी हे।
1 पतरस 4:17

29. For loe, I beginne to plague the citie, where my Name is called vpon, and shoulde you goe free? Ye shall not goe quite: for I will call for a sword vpon al the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hostes.

30. इतनी बातें भविष्यद्वाणी की रीति पर उन से कहकर यह भी कहना, यहोवा ऊपर से गरजेगा, और अपने उसी पवित्रा धाम में से अपना शब्द सुनाएगा; वह अपनी चराई के स्थान के विरूद्ध जोर से गरजेगा; वह पृथ्वी के सारे निवासियों के विरठ्ठ भी दाख लताड़नेवालों की नाई ललकारेगा।

30. Therefore prophecie thou against them al these words, and say vnto them, The Lord shall roare from aboue, and thrust out his voyce from his holy habitation: he shall roare vpon his habitation, and crie aloude, as they that presse the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

31. पृथ्वी की छोर लों भी कोलाहल होगा, क्योंकि सब जातियों से यहोवा का मुक़ मा है; वह सब मतुष्यों से वादविवाद करेगा, और दुष्टों को तलवार के वश में कर देगा।

31. The sounde shall come to the endes of the earth: for the Lord hath a controuersie with the nations, and will enter into iudgement with all flesh, and he will giue them that are wicked, to the sworde, saith the Lord.

32. सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है, देखो, विपत्ति एक जाति से दूसरी जाति में फैलेगी, और बड़ी आंधी पृथ्वी की छोर से उठेगी !

32. Thus saith the Lord of hostes, Behold, a plague shall goe foorth from nation to nation, and a great whirlewinde shalbe raised vp from the coastes of the earth,

33. उस समय यहोवा के मारे हुओं की लोथें पृथ्वी की एक छोर से दूसरी छोर तक पड़ी रहेंगी। उनके लिये कोई रोने- पीटनेवाला न रहेगा, और उनकी लोथें न तो बटोरी जाएंगी और न कबरों में रखी जाएंगी; वे भूमि के ऊपर खाद की नाई पड़ी रहेंगी।

33. And the slaine of the Lord shall be at that day, from one ende of the earth, euen vnto the other ende of the earth: they shall not bee mourned, neither gathered nor buried, but shalbe as the dongue vpon the grounde.

34. हे चरवाहो, हाय हाय करो और चिल्लाओ, हे बलवन्त मेढ़ो और बकरो, राख में लोटो, क्योंकि तुम्हारे वध होने के दिन आ पहुंचे हैं, और मैं मनभाऊ बरतन की नाई तुम्हारा सत्यानाश करूंगा।
याकूब 5:5

34. Howle, ye shepherdes, and crie, and wallowe your selues in the ashes, ye principall of the flocke: for your dayes of slaughter are accomplished, and of your dispersion, and ye shall fall like precious vessels.

35. उस समय न तो चरवाहों के भागने के लिये कोई स्थान रहेगा, और न बलवन्त मेढ़े और बकरे भागने पाएंगे।

35. And the flight shall faile from the shepherdes, and the escaping from the principall of the flocke.

36. चरवाहों की चिल्लाहट और बलवन्त मेढ़ों और बकरों के मिमियाने का शब्द सुनाई पड़ता है ! क्योंकि यहोवा उनकी चराई को नाश करेगा,

36. A voyce of the crye of the shepherdes, and an howling of the principall of the flocke shalbe heard: for the Lord hath destroyed their pasture.

37. और यहोवा के क्रोध भड़कने के कारण शान्ति के स्थान नष्ट हो जाएंगे, जिन वासस्थानों में अब शान्ति है, वे नष्ट हो जाएंगे।

37. And the best pastures are destroyed because of the wrath and indignation of the Lord.

38. युवा सिंह की नाई वह अपने ठौैर को छोड़कर निकलता है, क्योंकि अंधेर करनेहारी तलवार और उसके भड़के हुए कोप के कारण उनका देश उजाड़ हो गया है।

38. He hath forsaken his couert, as the lyon: for their land is waste, because of the wrath of the oppressor, and because of ye wrath of his indignatio.
