1. हे यहोवा कान लगाकर मेरी सुन ले, क्योंकि मैं दीन और दरिद्र हूं।

1. A Prayer of David. INCLINE YOUR ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and distressed, needy and desiring.

2. मेरे प्राण की रक्षा कर, क्योंकि मैं भक्त हूं; तू मेरा परमेश्वर है, इसलिये अपने दास का, जिसका भरोसा तुझ पर है, उठ्ठार कर।

2. Preserve my life, for I am godly and dedicated; O my God, save Your servant, for I trust in You [leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, without fear or doubt].

3. हे प्रभु मुझ पर अनुग्रह कर, क्योंकि मैं तुझी को लगातार पुकारता रहता हूं।

3. Be merciful and gracious to me, O Lord, for to You do I cry all the day.

4. अपने दास के मन को आनन्दित कर, क्योंकि हे प्रभु, मैं अपना मन तेरी ही ओर लगाता हूं।

4. Make me, Your servant, to rejoice, O Lord, for to You do I lift myself up.

5. क्योंकि हे प्रभु, तू भला और क्षमा करनेवाला है, और जितने तुझे पुकारते हैं उन सभों के लिये तू अति करूणामय है।

5. For You, O Lord, are good, and ready to forgive [our trespasses, sending them away, letting them go completely and forever]; and You are abundant in mercy and loving-kindness to all those who call upon You.

6. हे यहोवा मेरी प्रार्थना की ओर कान लगा, और मेरे गिड़गिड़ाने को ध्यान से सुन।

6. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; and listen to the cry of my supplications.

7. संकट के दिन मैं तुझ को पुकारूंगा, क्योंकि तू मेरी सुन लेगा।।

7. In the day of my trouble I will call on You, for You will answer me.

8. हे प्रभु देवताओं में से कोई भी तेरे तुल्य नहीं, और ने किसी के काम तेरे कामों के बराबर हैं।

8. There is none like unto You among the gods, O Lord, neither are their works like unto Yours.

9. हे प्रभु जितनी जातियों को तू ने बनाया है, सब आकर तेरे साम्हने दणडवत् करेंगी, और तेरे नाम की महिमा करेंगी।

9. All nations whom You have made shall come and fall down before You, O Lord; and they shall glorify Your name.

10. क्योंकि तू महान् और आश्चर्यकर्म करनेवाला है, केवल तू ही परमेश्वर है।

10. For You are great and work wonders! You alone are God.

11. हे यहोवा अपना मार्ग मुझे दिखा, तब मैं तेरे सत्य मार्ग पर चलूंगा, मुझ को एक चित्त कर कि मैं तेरे नाम का भय मानूं।

11. Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I may walk and live in Your truth; direct and unite my heart [solely, reverently] to fear and honor Your name. [Ps. 5:11; 69:36.]

12. हे प्रभु हे मेरे परमेश्वर मैं अपने सम्पूर्ण मन से तेरा धन्यवाद करूंगा, और तेरे नाम की महिमा सदा करता रहूंगा।

12. I will confess and praise You, O Lord my God, with my whole (united) heart; and I will glorify Your name forevermore.

13. क्योंकि तेरी करूणा मेरे ऊपर बड़ी है; और तू ने मुझ को अधोलोक की तह में जाने से बचा लिया है।।

13. For great is Your mercy and loving-kindness toward me; and You have delivered me from the depths of Sheol [from the exceeding depths of affliction].

14. हे परमेश्वर अभिमानी लोग तो मेरे विरूद्ध उठे हैं, और बलात्कारियों का समाज मेरे प्राण का खोजी हुआ है, और वे तेरा कुछ विचार नहीं रखते।

14. O God, the proud and insolent are risen against me; a rabble of violent and ruthless men has sought and demanded my life, and they have not set You before them.

15. परन्तु प्रभु दयालु और अनुग्रहकारी ईश्वर है, तू विलम्ब से कोप करनेवाला और अति करूणामय है।

15. But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness and truth.

16. मेरी ओर फिरकर मुझ पर अनुग्रह कर; अपने दास को तू शक्ति दे, और अपनी दासी के पुत्रा का उठ्ठार कर।।

16. O turn to me and have mercy and be gracious to me; grant strength (might and inflexibility to temptation) to Your servant and save the son of Your handmaiden.

17. मुझे भलाई का कोई लक्षण दिखा, जिसे देखकर मेरे बैरी निराश हों, क्योंकि हे यहोवा तू ने आप मेरी सहायता की और मुझे शान्ति दी है।।

17. Show me a sign of [Your evident] goodwill and favor, that those who hate me may see it and be put to shame, because You, Lord, [will show Your approval of me when You] help and comfort me.
