1. हे धर्मियों यहोवा के कारण जयजयकार करो् क्योंकि धर्मी लोगों को स्तुति करनी सोहती है।

1. Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! [For] praise from the upright is beautiful.

2. वीणा बजा बजाकर यहोवा का धन्यवाद करो, दस तारवाली सारंगी बजा बजाकर उसका भजन गाओ।
इफिसियों 5:19

2. Praise the LORD with the harp; Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings.

3. उसके लिये नया गीत गाओ, जयजयकार के साथ भली भांति बजाओ।।
प्रकाशितवाक्य 5:9, प्रकाशितवाक्य 14:3

3. Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

4. क्योंकि यहोवा का वचन सीधा है; और उसका सब काम सच्चाई से होता है।

4. For the word of the LORD [is] right, And all His work [is done] in truth.

5. वह धर्म और न्याय से प्रीति रखता है; यहोवा की करूणा से पृथ्वी भरपूर है।।

5. He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

6. आकाशमण्डल यहोवा के वचन से, और उसके सारे गण उसके मुंह ही श्वास से बने।
इब्रानियों 1:14, इब्रानियों 11:3

6. By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

7. वह समुद्र का जल ढेर की नाई इकट्ठा करता; वह गहिरे सागर को अपने भण्डार में रखता है।।

7. He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses.

8. सारी पृथ्वी के लोग यहोवा से डरें, जगत के सब निवासी उसका भय मानें!

8. Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

9. क्योंकि जब उस ने कहा, तब हो गया; जब उस ने आज्ञा दी, तब वास्तव में वैसा ही हो गया।।
इब्रानियों 1:14, इब्रानियों 11:3

9. For He spoke, and it was [done;] He commanded, and it stood fast.

10. यहोवा अन्यअन्यजाथियो की युक्ति को व्यर्थ कर देता है; वह देश देश के लोगों की कल्पनाओं को निष्फल करता है।

10. The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.

11. यहोवा की युक्ति सर्वदा स्थिर रहेगी, उसके मन की कल्पनाएं पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी तक बनी रहेंगी।

11. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations.

12. क्या ही धन्य है वह जाति जिसका परमेश्वर यहोवा है, और वह समाज जिसे उस ने अपना निज भाग होने के लिये चुन लिया हो!

12. Blessed [is] the nation whose God [is] the LORD, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.

13. यहोवा स्वर्ग से दृष्टि करता है, वह सब मनुष्यों को निहारता है;

13. The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.

14. अपने निवास के स्थान से वह पृथ्वी के सब रहनेवालों को देखता है,

14. From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth;

15. वही जो उन सभों के हृदयों को गढ़ता, और उनके सब कामों का विचार करता है।

15. He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.

16. कोई ऐसा राजा नहीं, जो सेना की बहुतायत के कारण बच सके; वीर अपनी बड़ी शक्ति के कारण छूट नहीं जाता।

16. No king [is] saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

17. बच निकलने के लिये घोड़ा व्यर्थ है, वह अपने बड़े बल के द्वारा किसी को नहीं बचा सकता है।।

17. A horse [is] a vain hope for safety; Neither shall it deliver [any] by its great strength.

18. देखो, यहोवा की दृष्टि उसके डरवैयों पर और उन पर जो उसकी करूणा की आशा रखते हैं बनी रहती है,

18. Behold, the eye of the LORD [is] on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy,

19. कि वह उनके प्राण को मृत्यु से बचाए, और अकाल के समय उनको जीवित रखे।।

19. To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.

20. हम यहोवा का आसरा देखते आए हैं; वह हमारा सहायक और हमारी ढाल ठहरा है।

20. Our soul waits for the LORD; He [is] our help and our shield.

21. हमारा हृदय उसके कारण आनन्दित होगा, क्योंकि हम ने उसके पवित्रा नाम का भरोसा रखा है।

21. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name.

22. हे यहोवा जैसी तुझ पर हमारी आशा है, वैसी ही तेरी करूणा भी हम पर हो।।

22. Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, Just as we hope in You.
