1. इसके बाद दाऊद ने पलिश्तियों को जीतकर अपने अधीन कर लिया, और गांवों समेत गत नगर को पलिश्तियों के हाथ से छीन लिया।

1. And after this Dauid smote the Philistims, and subdued them, and tooke Gath, and the villages thereof out of the hand of the Philistims.

2. फिर उस ने मोआबियों का भी जीत लिया, और मोआबी दाऊद के अधीन होकर भेंट लाने लगे।

2. And he smote Moab, and the Moabites became Dauids seruants, and brought giftes.

3. फिर जब सोबा का राजा हदरेजेर परात महानद के पास अपने राज्य स्थिर करने को जा रहा था, तब दाऊद ने उसको हमात के पास जीत लिया।

3. And Dauid smote Hadarezer King of Zobah vnto Hamath, as he went to stablish his border by the riuer Perath.

4. और दाऊद ने उससे एक हजार रथ, सात हजार सवार, और बीस हजार पियादे हर लिए, और दाऊद ने सब रथवाले घेड़ों के सुम की नस कटवाई, परन्तु एक सौ रथवाले धेड़े बचा रखे।

4. And Dauid tooke from him a thousand charets, and seuen thousand horsemen, and twentie thousand footemen, and destroyed all the charets, but he reserued of them an hundreth charets.

5. और जब दमिश्क के अरामी, सोबा के राजा हदरेजेर की सहायता करने को आए, तब दाऊद ने अरामियों में से बाईस हजार पुरूष मारे।

5. Then came the Aramites of Damascus to succour Hadarezer King of Zobah, but Dauid slewe of the Aramites two and twentie thousand.

6. तब दाऊद ने दमिष्क के अराम में सिपाहियों की चौकियां बैठाई; सो अरामी दाऊद के अधीन होकर भेंट ले आने लगे। और जहां जहां दाऊद जाता, वहां वहां यहोवा उसको जय दिलाता था।

6. And Dauid put a garison in Aram of Damascus, and the Aramites became Dauids seruants, and brought giftes: and the Lord preserued Dauid wheresoeuer he went.

7. और हदरेजेर के कर्मचारियों के पास सोने की जो ढालें थीं, उन्हें दाऊद लेकर यरूशलेम को आया।

7. And Dauid tooke the shieldes of gold that were of the seruants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Ierusalem.

8. और हदरेजेर के तिभत और कून नाम नगरों से दाऊद बहुत सा पीतल ले आया; और उसी से सुलेमान ने पीतल के हौद और खम्भों और पीतल के पात्रों को बनवाया।

8. And from Tibhath, and from Chun (cities of Hadarezer) brought Dauid exceeding much brasse, wherewith Salomon made the brasen Sea, and the pillars and the vessels of brasse.

9. जब हमात के राजा तोऊ ने सुना, कि दाऊद ने सोबा के राजा हदरेजेर की समस्त सेना को जीत लिया है,

9. Then Tou King of Hamath heard howe Dauid had smitten all the hoste of Hadarezer King of Zobah:

10. तब उस ने हदोराम नाम अपने पुत्रा को दाऊद राजा के पास उसका कुशल क्षेम पूछने और उसे बधाई देने को भेजा, इसलिये कि उस ने हदरेजेर से लड़कर उसे जीत लिया था; ( क्योंकि हदरेजेर तोऊ से लड़ा करता था ) और हदोराम सोने चांदी और पीतल के सब प्रकार के पात्रा लिये हुए आया।

10. Therefore he sent Hadoram his sonne to King Dauid, to salute him, and to reioyce with him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and beaten him (for Tou had warre with Hadarezer) who brought all vessels of golde and siluer and brasse.

11. इनको दाऊद राजा ने यहोवा के लिये पवित्रा करके रखा, और वैसा ही उस सोने- चांदी से भी किया जिसे सब जातियो से, अर्थात् एदोमियों मोआबियों, अम्मोनियों, पलिश्तियों, और अमालेकियों से प्राप्त किया था।

11. And King Dauid did dedicate them vnto the Lord, with the siluer and golde that hee brought from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistims, and from Amalek.

12. फिर यरूयाह के पुत्रा अबीशै ने लान की तराई में अठारह हजार एदोमियों को मार लिया।

12. And Abishai the sonne of Zeruiah smote of Edom in the salt valley eighteene thousand,

13. तब उस ने एदोम में सिपाहियों की चौकियां बैठाई; और सब एदोमी दाऊद के अधीन हो गए। और दाऊद जहां जहां जाता था वहां वहां यहोवा उसको जय दिलाता था।

13. And he put a garison in Edom, and all the Edomites became Dauids seruantes: and the Lord preserued Dauid wheresoeuer he went.

14. दाऊद तो सारे इस्राएल पर राज्य करता था, और वह अपनी सब प्रजा के साथ न्याय और धर्म के काम करता था।

14. So Dauid reigned ouer all Israel, and executed iudgement and iustice to all his people.

15. और प्रधान सेनापति सरूयाह का पुत्रा योआब था; इतिहास का लिखनेवाला अहीलूद का पुत्रा यहोशापात था।

15. And Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah was ouer the hoste, and Iehoshaphat the sonne of Ahilud recorder,

16. प्रधान याजक, अहीतूब का पुत्रा सादोक और एब्यातार का पुत्रा अबीमेलेक थे; मंत्री शबशा था।

16. And Zadok the sonne of Ahitub, and Abimelech the sonne of Abiathar were the Priests, and Shausha the Scribe,

17. करेतियों और पलेतियों का प्रधान यहोयादा का पुत्रा बनायाह था; और दाऊद के पुत्रा राजा के पास मुखिये होकर रहते थे।

17. And Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada was ouer the Cherethites and the Pelethites: and the sonnes of Dauid were chiefe about the King.
