1. और यहोवा ने नूह से कहा, तू अपने सारे घराने समेत जहाज में जा; क्योंकि मै ने इस समय के लोगों में से केवल तुझी को अपनी दृष्टि में धर्मी देखा है।
इब्रानियों 11:7

1. And LORD said to Noah, Come, thou and all thy house into the ark, for I have seen thee righteous before me in this generation.

2. सब जाति के शुद्ध पशुओं में से तो तू सात सात, अर्थात् नर और मादा लेना : पर जो पशु शुद्ध नहीं है, उन में से दो दो लेना, अर्थात् नर और मादा :

2. Of every clean beast thou shall take to thee by sevens, the male and his female. And of the beasts that are not clean two, the male and his female.

3. और आकाश के पक्षियों में से भी, सात सात, अर्थात् नर और मादा लेना : कि उनका वंश बचकर सारी पृथ्वी के ऊपर बना रहे।

3. Also of the birds of the heavens by sevens, male and female, to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.

4. क्योंकि अब सात दिन और बीतने पर मैं पृथ्वी पर चालीस दिन और चालीस रात तक जल बरसाता रहूंगा; जितनी वस्तुएं मैं ने बनाईं है सब को भूमि के ऊपर से मिटा दूंगा।

4. For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights, and every living thing that I have made I will destroy from off the face of the ground.

5. यहोवा की इस आज्ञा के अनुसार नूह ने किया।

5. And Noah did according to all that LORD commanded him.

6. नूह की अवस्था छ: सौ वर्ष की थी, जब जलप्रलय पृथ्वी पर आया।

6. And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

7. नूह अपने पुत्रों, पत्नी और बहुओं समेत, जलप्रलय से बचने के लिये जहाज में गया।
मत्ती 24:38, लूका 17:27

7. And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

8. और शुद्ध, और अशुद्ध दोनो प्रकार के पशुओं में से, पक्षियों,

8. Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creeps upon the ground,

9. और भूमि पर रेंगनेवालों में से भी, दो दो, अर्थात् नर और मादा, जहाज में नूह के पास गए, जिस प्रकार परमेश्वर ने नूह को आज्ञा दी थी।

9. there went in two by two to Noah into the ark, male and female, as God commanded Noah.

10. सात दिन के उपरान्त प्रलय का जल पृथ्वी पर आने लगा।

10. And it came to pass after the seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

11. जब नूह की अवस्था के छ: सौवें वर्ष के दूसरे महीने का सत्तरहवां दिन आया; उसी दिन बड़े गहिरे समुद्र के सब सोते फूट निकले और आकाश के झरोखे खुल गए।

11. In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

12. और वर्षा चालीस दिन और चालीस रात निरन्तर पृथ्वी पर होती रही।

12. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

13. ठीक उसी दिन नूह अपने पुत्रा शेम, हाम, और येपेत, और अपनी पत्नी, और तीनों बहुओं समेत,

13. In the selfsame day Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ark,

14. और उनके संग एक एक जाति के सब बनैले पशु, और एक एक जाति के सब घरेलू पशु, और एक एक जाति के सब पृथ्वी पर रेंगनेवाले, और एक एक जाति के सब उड़नेवाले पक्षी, जहाज में गए।

14. they, and every beast according to its kind, and all the cattle according to their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth according to its kind, and every bird according to its kind, every bird of every sort.

15. जितने प्राणियों में जीवन की आत्मा थी उनकी सब जातियों में से दो दो नूह के पास जहाज में गए।

15. And they went in to Noah into the ark, two by two of all flesh in which is the breath of life.

16. और जो गए, वह परमेश्वर की आज्ञा के अनुसार सब जाति के प्राणियों में से नर और मादा गए। तब यहोवा ने उसका द्वार बन्द कर दिया।

16. And those that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him. And LORD shut him in.

17. और पृथ्वी पर चालीस दिन तक प्रलय होता रहा; और पानी बहुत बढ़ता ही गया जिस से जहाज ऊपर को उठने लगा, और वह पृथ्वी पर से ऊंचा उठ गया।

17. And the flood was forty days upon the earth. And the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and it was lifted up above the earth.

18. और जल बढ़ते बढ़ते पृथ्वी पर बहुत ही बढ़ गया, और जहाज जल के ऊपर ऊपर तैरता रहा।

18. And the waters prevailed, and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

19. और जल पृथ्वी पर अत्यन्त बढ़ गया, यहां तक कि सारी धरती पर जितने बड़े बड़े पहाड़ थे, सब डूब गए।

19. And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth, and all the high mountains that were under the whole heaven were covered,

20. जल तो पन्द्रह हाथ ऊपर बढ़ गया, और पहाड़ भी डूब गए

20. fifteen cubits upward. The waters prevailed, and the mountains were covered.

21. और क्या पक्षी, क्या घरेलू पशु, क्या बनैले पशु, और पृथ्वी पर सब चलनेवाले प्राणी, और जितने जन्तु पृथ्वी मे बहुतायत से भर गए थे, वे सब, और सब मनुष्य मर गए।

21. And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, from birds, to cattle, to beasts, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth, and every man.

22. जो जो स्थल पर थे उन में से जितनों के नथनों में जीवन का श्वास था, सब मर मिटे।

22. All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.

23. और क्या मनुष्य, क्या पशु, क्या रेंगनेवाले जन्तु, क्या आकाश के पक्षी, जो जो भूमि पर थे, सो सब पृथ्वी पर से मिट गए; केवल नूह, और जितने उसके संग जहाज में थे, वे ही बच गए।

23. And every living thing was destroyed that was upon the face of the ground, from man, to cattle, to creeping things, and birds of the heavens, and they were destroyed from the earth. And only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark.

24. और जल पृथ्वी पर एक सौ पचास दिन तक प्रबल रहा।।

24. And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.
