1. यह वह आज्ञा, और वे विधियां और नियम हैं जो तुम्हें सिखाने की तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने आज्ञा दी है, कि तुम उन्हें उस देश में मानो जिसके अधिकारी होने को पार जाने पर हो;

1. These now are the commandements, ordinances, and lawes, which the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that ye might doe them in the land whither ye go to possesse it:

2. और तू और तेरा बेटा और तेरा पोता यहोवा का भय मानते हुए उसकी उन सब विधियों और आज्ञाओं पर, जो मैं तुझे सुनाता हूं, अपने जीवन भर चलते रहें, जिस से तू बहुत दिन तक बना रहे।

2. That thou mightest feare the Lord thy God, and keepe all his ordinances, and his commandements which I commaund thee, thou, and thy sonne, and thy sonnes sonne all the dayes of thy life, euen that thy dayes may be prolonged.

3. हे इस्राएल, सुन, और ऐसा ही करने की चौकसी कर; इसलिये कि तेरा भला हो, और तेरे पितरों के परमेश्वर यहोवा के वचन के अनुसार उस देश में जहां दूध और मधु की धाराएं बहती हैं तुम बहुत हो जाओ।

3. Heare therefore, O Israel, and take heede to doe it, that it may go well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily in the land that floweth with milke and hony, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee.

4. हे इस्राएल, सुन, यहोवा हमारा परमेश्वर है, यहोवा एक ही है;

4. Heare, O Israel, The Lord our God is Lord onely,

5. तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा से अपने सारे मन, और सारे जीव, और सारी शक्ति के साथ प्रेम रखना।

5. And thou shalt loue the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soule, and with all thy might.

6. और ये आज्ञाएं जो मैं आज तुझ को सुनाता हूं वे तेरे मन में बनी रहें;

6. And these wordes which I commaund thee this day, shalbe in thine heart.

7. और तू इन्हें अपने बालबच्चों को समझाकर सिखाया करना, और घर में बैठे, मार्ग पर चलते, लेटते, उठते, इनकी चर्चा किया करना।
इफिसियों 6:4

7. And thou shalt rehearse them continually vnto thy children, and shalt talke of them when thou tariest in thine house, and as thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest downe, and when thou risest vp:

8. और इन्हें अपने हाथ पर चिन्हानी करके बान्धना, और ये तेरी आंखों के बीच टीके का काम दें।
मत्ती 23:5

8. And thou shalt binde them for a signe vpon thine hand, and they shalbe as frontlets betweene thine eyes.

9. और इन्हें अपने अपने घर के चौखट की बाजुओं और अपने फाटकों पर लिखना।।

9. Also thou shalt write them vpon ye postes of thine house, and vpon thy gates.

10. और जब तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे उस देश में पहुंचाए जिसके विषय में उस ने इब्राहीम, इसहाक, और याकूब नाम, तेरे पूर्वजों से तुझे देने की शपथ खाई, और जब वह तुझ को बड़े बड़े और अच्छे नगर, जो तू ने नहीं बनाए,

10. And when the Lord thy God hath brought thee into the land, which he sware vnto thy fathers, Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob, to giue to thee, with great and goodly cities which thou buildedst not,

11. और अच्छे अच्छे पदार्थों से भरे हुए घर, जो तू ने नहीं भरे, और खुदे हुए कुंए, जो तू ने नहीं खोदे, और दाख की बारियां और जलपाई के वक्षृ, जो तू ने नहीं लगाए, ये सब वस्तुएं जब वह दे, और तू खाके तृप्त हो,

11. And houses full of all maner of goods which thou filledst not, and welles digged which thou diggedst not, vineyards and oliue trees which thou plantedst not, and when thou hast eaten and art full,

12. तब सावधान रहना, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि तू यहोवा को भूल जाए, जो तुझे दासत्व के घर अर्थात् मि देश से निकाल लाया है।

12. Beware least thou forget the Lord, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

13. अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा का भय मानना; उसी की सेवा करना, और उसी के नाम की शपथ खाना।
मत्ती 4:10, लूका 4:8

13. Thou shalt feare the Lord thy God, and serue him, and shalt sweare by his Name.

14. तुम पराए देवताओं के, अर्थात् अपने चारों ओर के देशों के लोगों के देवताओं के पीछे न हो लेना;

14. Ye shall not walke after other gods, after any of the gods of the people which are round about you,

15. क्योंकि तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा जो तेरे बीच में है वह जल उठनेवाला ईश्वर है; कहीं ऐसा न हो कि तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा का कोप तुझ पर भड़के, और वह तुझ को पृथ्वी पर से नष्ट कर डाले।।

15. (For the Lord thy God is a ielous God among you:) least the wrath of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from the face of the earth.

16. तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की परीक्षा न करना, जैसे कि तुम ने मस्सा में उसकी परीक्षा की थी।
मत्ती 4:7, लूका 4:12

16. Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye did tempt him in Massah:

17. अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की आज्ञाओं, चितौनियों, और विधियों को, जो उस ने तुझ को दी हैं, सावधानी से मानना।

17. But ye shall keepe diligently the commandements of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his ordinances which he hath commanded thee,

18. और जो काम यहोवा की दृष्टि में ठीक और सुहावना है वही किया करना, जिस से कि तेरा भला हो, और जिस उत्तम देश के विषय में यहोवा ने तेरे पूर्वजों से शपथ खाई उस में तू प्रवेश करके उसका अधिकारी हो जाए,

18. And thou shalt doe that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that thou mayest prosper, and that thou mayest go in, and possesse that good land which the Lord sware vnto thy fathers,

19. कि तेरे सब शत्रु तेरे साम्हने से दूर कर दिए जाएं, जैसा कि यहोवा ने कहा था।।

19. To cast out all thine enemies before thee, as the Lord hath sayd.

20. फिर आगे को जब तेरा लड़का तुझ से पूछे, कि ये चितौनियां और विधि और नियम, जिनके मानने की आज्ञा हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम को दी है, इनका प्रयोजन क्या है?
इफिसियों 6:4

20. When thy sonne shall aske thee in time to come, saying, What meane these testimonies, and ordinances, and Lawes, which the Lord our God hath commanded you?

21. तब अपने लड़के से कहना, कि जब हम मि में फिरौन के दास थे, तब यहोवा बलवन्त हाथ से हम को मि में से निकाल ले आया;

21. Then shalt thou say vnto thy sonne, We were Pharaohs bondmen in Egypt: but the Lord brought vs out of Egypt with a mightie hand.

22. और यहोवा ने हमारे देखते मि में फिरौन और उसके सारे घराने को दु:ख देनेवाले बड़े बड़े चिन्ह और चमत्कार दिखाए;

22. And the Lord shewed signes and wonders great and euill vpon Egypt, vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his housholde, before our eyes,

23. और हम को वह वहां से निकाल लाया, इसलिये कि हमें इस देश में पहुंचाकर, जिसके विषय में उस ने हमारे पूर्वजों से शपथ खाई थी, इसको हमें सौंप दे।

23. And brought vs out from thence, to bring vs in, and to giue vs the land which he sware vnto our fathers.

24. और यहोवा ने हमें ये सब विधियां पालने की आज्ञा दी, इसलिये कि हम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा का भय मानें, और इस रीति सदैव हमारा भला हो, और वह हम को जीवित रखे, जैसा कि आज के दिन है।

24. Therefore the Lord hath commanded vs, to doe all these ordinances, and to feare the Lord our God, that it may goe euer well with vs, and that he may preserue vs aliue as at this present.

25. और यदि हम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की दृष्टि में उसकी आज्ञा के अनुसार इन सारे नियमों को मानने में चौकसी करें, तो वह हमारे लिये धर्म ठहरेगा।।

25. Moreouer, this shall be our righteousnes before the Lord our God, if we take heede to keepe all these commandements, as he hath commanded vs.
