1. और हम जो उसके सहकर्मी हैं यह भी समझाते हैं, कि परमेश्वर का अनुगंह जो तुम पर हुआ, व्यर्थ न रहने दो।

1. We are workers together with God. So we beg you: Don't let the grace that you received from God be for nothing.

2. क्योंकि वह तो कहता है, कि अपनी प्रसन्नता के समय मैं ने तेरी सहायता की: देखो, अभी उद्धार का दिन है।
यशायाह 49:8

2. God says, 'I heard you at the right time, and I gave you help on the day of salvation.' I tell you that the 'right time' is now. The 'day of salvation' is now.

3. हम किसी बात में ठोकर खाने का कोई भी अवसर नहीं देते, कि हमारी सेवा पर कोई दोष न आए।

3. We don't want people to find anything wrong with our work. So we do nothing that will be a problem to others.

4. परन्तु हर बात में परमेश्वर के सेवकों की नाई अपने सद्गुणों को प्रगट करते हैं, बड़े धैर्य से, क्लेशों से, दरिद्रता से, संकटो से।

4. But in every way we show that we are servants of God. We never give up, even though we face troubles, difficulties, and problems of every kind.

5. कोड़े खाने से, कैद होने से, हुल्लड़ों से, परिश्रम से, जागते रहने से, उपवास करने से।

5. We are beaten and thrown into prison. People get upset at us and fight against us. We work hard, and sometimes we get no sleep or food.

6. पवित्राता से, ज्ञान से, धीरज से, कृपालुता से, पवित्रा आत्मा से।

6. We show that we are God's servants by our pure lives, by our understanding, by our patience, and by our kindness. We show it by the Holy Spirit, by genuine love,

7. सच्चे प्रेम से, सत्य के वचन से, परमेश्वर की सामर्थ से; धार्मिकता के हथियारों से जो दहिने, बाएं हैं।

7. by speaking the truth, and by depending on God's power. This right way of living has prepared us to defend ourselves against every kind of attack.

8. आदर और निरादर से, दुरनाम और सुनाम से, यद्यपि भरमानेवालों के ऐसे मालूम होते हैं तौभी सच्चे हैं।

8. Some people honor us, but others shame us. Some people say good things about us, but others say bad things. Some people say we are liars, but we speak the truth.

9. अनजानों के सदृश्य हैं; तौभी प्रसिद्ध हैं; मरते हुओं के ऐसे हैं और देखों जीवित हैं; मारखानेवालों के सदृश हैं परन्तु प्राण से मारे नहीं जाते।
भजन संहिता 118:18

9. To some people we are not known, but we are well-known. We seem to be dying, but look! We continue to live. We are punished, but we are not killed.

10. शोक करनेवाले के समान हैं, परन्तु सर्वदा आनन्द करते हैं, कंगालों के ऐसे हैं, परन्तु बहुतों को धनवान बना देते हैं; ऐसे हैं जैसे हमारे पास कुछ नहीं तौभी सब कुछ रखते हैं।

10. We have much sadness, but we are always rejoicing. We are poor, but we are making many people rich in faith. We have nothing, but really we have everything.

11. हे कुरिन्थियों, हम ने खुलकर तुम से बातें की हैं, हमारा हृदय तुम्हारी ओर खुला हुआ है।

11. We have spoken freely to you people in Corinth. We have opened our hearts to you.

12. तुम्हारे लिये हमारे मन में कुछ सकेती नहीं, पर तुम्हारे ही मनों में सकेती है।

12. Our feelings of love for you have not stopped. It is you who have stopped your feelings of love for us.

13. पर अपने लड़के- बाले जानकर तुम से कहता हूं, कि तुम भी उसके बदले में अपना हृदय खोल दो।।

13. I speak to you as if you were my children. Do the same as we have done�open your hearts also.

14. अविश्वासियों के साथ असमान जूए में न जुतो, क्योंकि धार्मिकता और अधर्म का क्या मेल जोल? या ज्योति और अन्धकार की क्या संगति?

14. You are not the same as those who don't believe. So don't join yourselves to them. Good and evil don't belong together. Light and darkness cannot share the same room.

15. और मसीह का बलियाल के साथ क्या लगाव? या विश्वासी के साथ अविश्वासी का क्या नाता?

15. How can there be any unity between Christ and the devil? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

16. और मूरतों के साथ परमेश्वर के मन्दिर का क्या सम्बन्ध? क्योंकि हम तो जीवते परमेश्वर का मन्दिर हैं; जैसा परमेश्वर ने कहा है कि मैं उन में बसूंगा और उन में चला फिरा करूंगा; और मैं उन का परमेश्वर हूंगा, और वे मेरे लोग होंगे।

16. God's temple cannot have anything to do with idols, and we are the temple of the living God. As God said, 'I will live with them and walk with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.'
