1. बेल देवता झुक गया, नबो देवता नब गया है, उनकी प्रतिमाएं पशुओं वरन घरैलू पशुओं पर लदी हैं; जिन वस्तुओं को तुम उठाए फिरते थे, वे अब भारी बोझ हो गईं और थकित पशुओं पर लदी हैं।

1. The false gods, Bel and Nebo, bow down. Their objects of worship were put on animals and cattle and the wagons had heavy loads making it hard for the tired animals.

2. वे नब गए, वे एक संग झुक गए, वे उस भार को छुड़ा नहीं सके, और आप भी बंधुआई में चले गए हैं।।

2. They get down, they bow down together. They could not save the heavy load, but are themselves carried away to another land.

3. हे याकूब के घराने, हे इस्राएल के घराने के सब बचे हुए लोगो, मेरी ओर कान लगाकर सुनो; तुम को मैं तुम्हारी उत्पत्ति ही से उठाए रहा और जन्म ही से लिए फिरता आया हूं।

3. 'Listen to Me, O family of Jacob, and all who are left of the family of Israel. You have been helped by Me before you were born and carried since you were born.

4. तुम्हारे बुढ़ापे में भी मैं वैसा ही बना रहूंगा और तुम्हारे बाल पकने के समय तक तुम्हें उठाए रहूंगा। मैं ने तुम्हें बनाया और तुम्हें लिए फिरता रहूंगा;

4. Even when you are old I will be the same. And even when your hair turns white, I will help you. I will take care of what I have made. I will carry you, and will save you.

5. मैं तुम्हें उठाए रहूंगा और छुड़ाता भी रहूंगा।। तुम किस से मेरी उपमा दोगे और मुझे किस के समान बताओगे, किस से मेरा मिलान करोगे कि हम एक समान ठहरें?

5. 'To whom will you compare Me? With whom will you make Me the same and compare Me, that we should be alike?

6. जो थैली से सोना उण्डेलते वा कांटे में चान्दी तौलते हैं, जो सुनार को मजदुरी देकर उस से देवता बनवाले हैं, तब वे उसे प्रणाम करते वरन दण्डवत् भी करते हैं!

6. Those who take much gold from the money bag and weigh silver hire one who works with gold, and he makes it into a god. Then they bow down and worship it.

7. वे उसको कन्धे पर उठाकर लिए फिरते हैं, वे उसे उसके स्थान में रख देते और वह वहीं खड़ा रहता है; वह अपने स्थान से हट नहीं सकता; यदि कोई उसकी दोहाई भी दे, तौभी न वह सुन सकता है और न विपत्ति से उसका उद्धार कर सकता है।।

7. They lift it upon their shoulders and carry it. They set it in its place and it stands there. It does not move from its place. When one cries to it, it cannot answer. It cannot take him away from his trouble.

8. हे अपराधियों, इस बात को स्मरण करो और ध्यान दो, इस पर फिर मन लगाओ।

8. 'Remember this and be men. Bring it to mind again, you sinners.

9. प्राचीनकाल की बातें स्मरण करो जो आरम्भ ही से है; क्योंकि ईश्वर मैं ही हूं, दूसरा कोई नहीं; मैं ही परमेश्वर हूं और मेरे तुल्य कोई भी नहीं है।

9. Remember the things of long ago. For I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there is no one like Me.

10. मै तो अन्त की बात आदि से और प्राचीनकाल से उस बात को बताता आया हूं जो अब तक नहीं हुई। मैं कहता हूं, मेरी युक्ति स्थिर रहेगी और मैं अपनी इच्छा को पूरी करूंगा।

10. I tell from the beginning what will happen in the end. And from times long ago I tell of things which have not been done, saying, 'My Word will stand. And I will do all that pleases Me.'

11. मैं पूर्व से एक उकाब पक्षी को अर्थात् दूर देश से अपनी युक्ति के पूरा करनेवाले पुरूष को बुलाता हूं। मैं ही ने यह बात कही है और उसे पूरी भी करूंगा; मैं ने यह विचार बान्घा है और उसे सुफल भी करूंगा।

11. I call a strong and hungry bird from the east, the man from a far country who will do what I have planned. I have spoken, and I will make it happen. I have planned it, and I will do it.

12. हे कठोर मनवालो तुम जो धर्म से दूर हो, कान लगाकर मेरी सुनो।

12. 'Listen to Me, you strong-willed people who are far from being right and good.

13. मैं अपनी धार्मिकता को समीप ले आने पर हूं वह दूर नहीं है, और मेरे उद्धार करने में विलम्ब न होगा; मैं सिरयोन का उद्धार करूंगा और इस्राएल को महिमा दूंगा।।
लूका 2:32

13. I bring near what is right and good. It is not far away. And My saving power is ready now. I will save Zion, and will bring My great power to Israel.
