1. हे परमेश्वर, मुझ पर अनुग्रह कर, मुझ पर अनुग्रह कर, क्योंकि मैं तेरा शरणागत हूं; और जब तक ये आपत्तियां निकल न जाएं, तब तक मैं तेरे पंखों के तले शरण लिए रहूंगा।

2. मैं परम प्रधान परमेश्वर को पुकारूंगा, ईश्वर को जो मेरे लिये सब कुछ सिद्ध करता है।

2. I pray to you, my protector.

3. ईश्वर स्वर्ग से भेजकर मुझे बचा लेगा, जब मेरा निगलनेवाला निन्दा कर रहा हो। परमेश्वर अपनी करूणा और सच्चाई प्रगट करेगा।।

3. You will send help from heaven and save me, but you will bring trouble on my attackers. You are faithful, and you can be trusted.

4. मेरा प्राण सिंहों के बीच में है, मुझे जलते हुओं के बीच में लेटना पड़ता है, अर्थात् ऐसे मनुष्यों के बीच में जिन के दांत बर्छी और तीर हैं, और जिनकी जीभ तेज तलवार है।।

4. I live among lions, who gobble down people! They have spears and arrows instead of teeth, and they have sharp swords instead of tongues.

5. हे परमेश्वर तू स्वर्ग के ऊपर अति महान और तेजोमय है, तेरी महिमा सारी पृथ्वी के ऊपर फैल जाए!

5. May you, my God, be honored above the heavens; may your glory be seen everywhere on earth.

6. उन्हों ने मेरे पैरों के लिये जाल लगाया है; मेरा प्राण ढला जाता है। उन्हों ने मेरे आगे गड़हा खोदा, परन्तु आप ही उस में गिर पड़े।।

6. Enemies set traps for my feet and struck me down. They dug a pit in my path, but fell in it themselves.

7. हे परमेश्वर, मेरा मन स्थिर है, मेरा मन स्थिर है; मैं गाऊंगा वरन भजन कीर्तन करूंगा।

7. I am faithful to you, and you can trust me. I will sing and play music for you, my God.

8. हे मेरी आत्मा जाग जा! हे सारंगी और वीणा जाग जाओ। मैं भी पौ फटते ही जाग उठूंगा।

8. I feel wide awake! I will wake up my harp and wake up the sun.

9. हे प्रभु, मैं देश के लोगों के बीच तेरा धन्यवाद करूंगा; मैं राज्य राज्य के लोगों के बीच में तेरा भजन गाऊंगा।

9. I will praise you, Lord, for everyone to hear, and I will sing hymns to you in every nation.

10. क्योंकि तेरी करूणा स्वर्ग तक बड़ी है, और तेरी सच्चाई आकाशमण्डल तक पहुंचती है।।

10. Your love reaches higher than the heavens; your loyalty extends beyond the clouds.

11. हे परमेश्वर, तू स्वर्ग के ऊपर अति महान है! तेरी महिमा सारी पृथ्वी के ऊपर फैल जाए!
