1. जब लोगों ने मुझ से कहा, कि हम यहोवा के भवन को चलें, तब मैं आनन्दित हुआ।

1. A Song of Degrees. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

2. हे यरूशलेम, तेरे फाटकों के भीतर, हम खड़े हो गए हैं!

2. Our feet stood in your courts, O Jerusalem.

3. हे यरूशलेम, तू ऐसे नगर के समान बना है, जिसके घर एक दूसरे से मिले हुए हैं।

3. Jerusalem is built as a city whose fellowship is complete.

4. वहां याह के गोत्रा गोत्रा के लोग यहोवा के नाम का धन्यवाद करने को जाते हैं; यह इस्राएल के लिये साक्षी है।

4. For from there the tribes went up, the tribes of the Lord, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.

5. वहां तो न्याय के सिंहासन, दाऊद के घराने के लिये धरे हुए हैं।।

5. For there are set thrones for judgment, [even] thrones for the house of David.

6. यरूशलेम की शान्ति का वरदान मांगो, तेरे प्रेमी कुशल से रहें!

6. Pray now for the peace of Jerusalem: and [let there be] prosperity to them that love you.

7. तेरी शहरपनाह के भीतर शान्ति, और तेरे महलों में कुशल होवे!

7. Let peace, I pray, be within your host, and prosperity in your palaces.

8. अपने भाइयों और संगियों के निमित्त, मैं कहूंगा कि तुझ में शान्ति होवे!

8. For the sake of my brethren and my neighbors, I have indeed spoken peace concerning you.

9. अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के भवन के निमित्त, मैं तेरी भलाई का यत्न करूंगा।।

9. Because of the house of the Lord our God, I have diligently sought your good.
