1. तीसरे दिन एस्तेर अपने राजकीय वस्त्रा पहिनकर राजभवन के भीतरी आंगन में जाकर, राजभवन के साम्हने खड़ी हो गई। राजा तो राजभवन में राजगद्दी पर भवन के द्वार के साम्हने विराजमान था;

1. And it came to pass on the third day, when she had ceased praying, that she put off her mean dress, and put on her glorious apparel. And being splendidly arrayed, [and] having called upon God the Overseer and Preserver of all things, she took her two maids, and she leaned upon one, as a delicate female, and the other followed bearing her train. And she [was] blooming in the perfection of her beauty; and her face [was] cheerful and benevolent, but her heart [was] straitened for fear. And having passed through all the doors, she stood before the king. And he was sitting upon his royal throne, and he had put on all his glorious apparel, [covered] all over with gold and precious stones, and was very terrible. And having raised his face resplendent with glory, he looked with intense anger. And the queen fell, and changed her color as she fainted; and she bowed herself upon the head of the maid that went before [her]. But God changed the spirit of the king's gentleness, and in intense feeling he sprang from off his throne, and took her into his arms, until she recovered. And he comforted her with peaceable words, and said to her, What is [the matter], Esther? I [am] your brother; be of good cheer, you shall not die, for our command is openly declared [to you;] Draw near.

2. और जब राजा ने एस्तेर रानी को आंगन में खड़ी हुइ्रर् देखा, तब उस से प्रसन्न होकर सोने का राजदणड जो उसके हाथ में था उसकी ओर बढ़ाया। तब एस्तेर ने निकट जाकर राजदणड की लोक छुई।

2. And having raised the golden scepter he laid it upon her neck, and embraced her, and said, Speak to me. And she said to him, I saw you, [my] lord, as an angel of God, and my heart was troubled for fear of your glory; for you, [my] lord, are to be wondered at, and your face [is] full of grace. And while she was speaking, she fainted and fell. Then the king was troubled, and all his servants comforted her.

3. तब राजा ने उस से पूछा, हे एसतेर रानी, तुझे क्या चाहिये? और तू क्य मांगती है? मांग और तुझे आधा राज्य तक दिया जाएगा।
मरकुस 6:23

3. And the king said, What do you wish, Esther? And what is your request? [Ask] even to the half of my kingdom, and it shall be yours.

4. एस्तेर ने कहा, यदि राजा को स्वीकार हो, तो आज हामान को साथ लेकर उस जेवनार में आए, जो मैं ने राजा के लिये तैयार की है।

4. And Esther said, Today is my great day: if then it seems good to the king, let both him and Haman come to the feast which I will prepare this day.

5. तब राजा ने आज्ञा दी कि हामान को तुरन्त ले आओ, कि एस्तेर का निमंत्राण ग्रहण किया जाए। सो राजा और हामान एस्तेर की तैयार की हुई जेवनार में आए।

5. And the king said, Bring Haman here quickly, that we may perform the word of Esther. So they both came to the feast of which Esther had spoken.

6. जेवनार के समय जब दाखमधु पिया जाता था, तब राजा ने एस्तेर से कहा, तेरा क्या निवेदन है? वह पूरा किया जाएगा। और तू क्या मांगती है? मांग, ओर आधा राज्य तक तुझे दिया जाएगा।
मरकुस 6:23

6. And at the banquet the king said to Esther, What is [your request], Queen Esther? [Speak], and you shall have all that you require.

7. एस्तेर ने उत्तर दिया, मेरा निवेदन और जो मैं मांगती हूँ वह यह है,

7. And she said, My request and my petition [is this]:

8. कि यदि राजा मुझ पर प्रसन्न है और मेरा निवेदन सुनना और जो वरदान मैं मांगूं वही देना राजा को स्वीकार हो, तो राजा और हामान कल उस जेवनार में आएं जिसे मैं उनके लिये करूंगी, और कल मैं राजा के इस वचन के अनुसार करूंगी।

8. if I have found favor in the sight of the king, let the king and Haman come again tomorrow to the feast which I shall prepare for them, and tomorrow I will do the same.

9. उस दिन हामान आनन्दित ओर मन में प्रसन्न होकर बाहर गया। परन्तु जब उस ने मोर्दकै को राजभवन के फाटक में देखा, कि वह उसके साम्हने न तो खड़ा हुआ, और न हटा, तब वह मोर्दकै के विरूद्ध क्रोध से भर गया।

9. So Haman went out from the king very glad [and] merry; but when Haman saw Mordecai the Jew in the court, he was greatly enraged.

10. तौभी वह अपने को रोककर अपने घर गया; और अपने मित्रों और अपनी स्त्री जेरेश को बुलवा भेजा।

10. And having gone into his own house, he called his friends, and his wife Zeresh.

11. तब हामान ने, उन से अपने धन का विभव, और अपने लड़के- बालों की बढ़ती और राजा ने उसको कैसे कैसे बढ़ाया, और और सब हाकिमों और अपने और सब कर्मचारियों से ऊंचा पद दिया था, इन सब का वर्णन किया।

11. And he showed them his wealth, and the glory with which the king had invested him, and how he had caused him to take precedence and bear chief rule in the kingdom.

12. हामान ने यह भी कहा, कि एस्तेर रानी ने भी मुझे छोड़ और किसी को राजा के संग, अपनी की हुई जेवनार में आने न दिया; और कल के लिये भी राजा के संग उस ने मुझी को नेवता दिया है।

12. And Haman said, The queen has called no one to the feast with the king but me, and I am invited tomorrow.

13. तौभी जब जब मुझे वह यहूदी मोर्दकै राजभवन के फाटक में बैठा हुआ दिखाई पड़ता है, तब तब यह सब मेरी दृष्टि में व्यर्थ है।

13. But these things please me not, while I see Mordecai the Jew in the court.

14. उसकी पत्नी जेरेश और उसके सब मित्रों ने उस से कहा, पचास हाथ ऊंचा फांसी का एक खम्भा, बनाया जाए, और बिहान को राजा से कहना, कि उस पर मोर्दकै लटका दिया जाए; तब राजा के संग आनन्द से जेवनार में जाना। इस बात से प्रसन्न होकर हामान ने बैसा ही फांसी का एक खम्भा बनवाया।

14. And Zeresh his wife and his friends said to him, Let there be a gallows made for you of fifty cubits, and in the morning speak to the king, and let Mordecai be hanged on the gallows. But go in to the feast with the king, and be merry. And the saying pleased Haman, and the gallows was prepared.
