1. जब यह सब हो चुका, तब जितने इस्राएली अपस्थित थे, उन सभों ने यहूदा के नगरों में जाकर, सारे यहूदा और बिन्यामीन और एप्रेम और मनश्शे में कि लाठों को तोड़ दिया, अशेरों को काट डाला, और ऊंचे स्थानों और वेदियों को गिरा दिया; और उन्हों ने उन सब का अन्त कर दिया। तब सब इस्राएली अपने अपने नगर को लौटकर, अपनी अपनी निज भूमि में पहुंचे।

1. And when all this was finished, all Israel who were found went out to the cities of Judah and smashed the standing pillars, and cut down the Asherahs, and broke down the high places and the altars out of all Judah, and Benjamin, and in Ephraim, and Manasseh, even to the end. And all the sons of Israel returned, each to his possession, to their cities.

2. और हिजकिरयाह ने याजकों के दलों को और लेवियों को वरन याजकों और लेवियों दोनों को, प्रति दल के अनुसार और एक एक मतुष्य को उसकी सेवकाई के अनुसार इसलिये ठहरा दिया, कि वे यहोवा की छावनी के द्वारों के भीतर होमबलि, मेलबलि, सेवा टहल, धन्यवाद और स्तुति किया करें।

2. And Hezekiah made stand the courses of the priests and of the Levites, by their divisions, each according to his service, of the priests and of the Levites, for burnt offerings, and for peace offerings, to serve and to give thanks, and to give praise in the gates of the camps of Jehovah.

3. फिर उस ने अपनी सम्पत्ति में से राजभाषा को होमबलियों के लिये ठहरा दिया; अर्थत् सबेरे और सांझ की होमबलि और विश्राम और नये चांद के दिनों और नियत समयों की होमबलि के लिये जैसा कि यहोवा की व्यवस्था में लिखा है।

3. And the king's portion from his substance was for burnt offerings, for burnt offerings of the morning and the evening; and the burnt offerings of the sabbaths, and of the new moons, and of the appointed seasons, as it was written in the Law of Jehovah.

4. और उस ने यरूशलेम में रहनेवालों को याजकों और लेवियों को उनका भाग देने की आज्ञा दी, ताकि वे यहोवा की व्यवस्था के काम मन लगाकर कर सकें।

4. And he commanded the people, those who lived in Jerusalem, to give the portion of the priests and of the Levites, in order that they might be made strong in the Law of Jehovah.

5. यह आज्ञा सुनते ही इस्राएली अन्न, नया दाखमधु, टटका तेल, मधु आदि खेती की सब भांति की पहिली उपज बहुतायत से देने, और सब वस्तुओं का दशमांश अधिक मात्रा में लाने लगे।

5. And as the word spread, the sons of Israel brought abundantly the firstfruits of grain, new wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the produce of the field, and the tithe of all; they brought very much.

6. और जो इस्राएली और यहूदी, यहूदा के नगरों में रहते थे, वे भी बैलों और भेड़- बकरियों का दशमांश, और उन पवित्रा वस्तुओं का दशमांश, जो उनके परमेश्वर यहोवा के निमित्त पवित्रा की गई थीं, लाकर ढेर ढेर करके रखने लगे।

6. And the sons of Israel and Judah, those living in the cities of Judah, also they tithed of the herd and the flock, even a tithe of the holy things that were sanctified to Jehovah their God, were brought in. And they gave heaps of heaps.

7. इस प्रकार ढेर का लगाना उन्हों ने तीसरे महीने में आरम्भ किया और सातवें महीने में पूरा किया।

7. They began to lay the foundation of the heaps in the third month, and in the seventh month they finished.

8. जब हिजकिरयाह और हाकिमों ने आकर उन ढेरों को देखा, तब यहोवा को और उसकी प्रजा इस्राएल को धन्य धन्य कहा।

8. And Hezekiah and the leaders came in and saw the heaps, and blessed Jehovah and His people Israel.

9. तब हिजकिरयाह ने याजकों और लेवियों से उन ढेरों के विषय पूछा।

9. And Hezekiah asked the priests and the Levites about the heaps.

10. और अजर्याह महायाजक ने जो सादोक के घराने का था, उस से कहा, जब से लोग यहोवा के भवन में उठाई हुई भेंटें लाने लगे हैं, तब से हम लोग पेट भर खाने को पाते हैं, वरन बहुत बचा भी करता है; क्योंकि यहोवा ने अपनी प्रजा को आशीष दी है, और जो शेष रह गया है, उसी का यह बड़ा ढेर है।

10. And Azariah the chief priest, of the house of Zadok, spoke to him and said, From the beginning of the bringing of the heave offering to the house of Jehovah, it was eaten, and it satisfied, and abundance was left; for Jehovah has blessed His people, and this abundance is left.

11. तब हिजकिरयाह ने यहोवा के भवन में कोठरियां तैयार करने की आज्ञा दी, और वे तैयार की गई।

11. And Hezekiah ordered them to build rooms in the house of Jehovah; and they prepared,

12. तब लोगों ने उठाई हुई भेंटें, दशमांश और पवित्रा की हुई वस्तुएं, सच्चाई से पहुंचाई और उनके मुख्य अधिकारी तो कोनन्याह नाम एक लेवीय और इसरा उसका भाई शिमी नायब था।

12. and they brought in the heave offering, and the tithes, and the holy things, faithfully. And over them was a leader, the Levite Cononiah, and his second brother, Shimei;

13. और कोनन्याह और उसके भाई शिमी के नीचे, हिजकिरयाह राजा और परमेश्वर के भवन के प्रधान अजर्याह दोनों की आज्ञा से अहीएल, अजज्याह, नहत, असाहेल, यरीमेत, योजाबाद, एलीएल, यिस्मक्याह, महत और बनायाह अधिकारी थे।

13. and Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Cononiah and his brother Shimei, by the appointment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.

14. और परमेश्वर के लिये स्वेच्छाबलियों का अधिकारी यिम्ना लेवीय का पुत्रा कोरे था, जो पूर्व फाटक का द्वारापाल था, कि वह यहोवा की उठाई हुई भेंटें, और परमपवित्रा वस्तुएं बांटा करे।

14. And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the gatekeeper at the east, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the heave offerings of Jehovah, and the most holy things.

15. और उसके अधिकार में एदेन, मिन्यामीन, येशू, शमायाह, अमर्याह और शकन्याह याजकों के नगरों में रहते थे, कि वे क्या बड़े, क्या छोटे, अपने भाइयों को उनके दलों के अनुसार सच्चाई से दिया करें,

15. And by his hand, Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, acted faithfully to give to their brothers by divisions, as to the great, so to the small;

16. और उनके अलावा उनको भी दें, जो पुरूषों की वंशावली के अनुसार गिने जाकर तीन वर्ष की अवस्था के वा उस से अधिक आयु के थे, और अपने अपने दल के अनुसार अपनी अपनी सेवकाई निबाहने को दिन दिन के काम के अनुसार यहोवा के भवन में जाया करते थे।

16. apart from their genealogy, to males from a son of three years and upward, to everyone who had gone into the house of Jehovah, the proper portion of a day in its day, for their service in their duties, according to their divisions;

17. और उन याजकों को भी दें, जिनकी वंशावली उनके पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार की गई, और उन लेवियों को भी जो बीस वर्ष की अवस्था से ले आगे को अपने अपने दल के अनुसार, अपने अपने काम निबाहते थे।

17. and enrolled genealogically the priests by the house of their fathers, and of the Levites from a son of twenty years and upward, and their duties, and their divisions;

18. और सारी सभा में उनके बालबच्चों, स्त्रियों, बेटों और बेटियों को भी दें, जिनकी वंशवली थी, क्योंकि वे सच्चाई से अपने को पवित्रा करते थे।

18. and the enrollment by genealogy with all their infants, their wives, and their sons and their daughters, to all the assembly, for in their faithfulness they sanctified themselves in holiness.

19. फिर हारून की सन्तान के याजकों को भी जो अपने अपने नगरों के चराईवाले मैदान में रहते थे, देने के लिये वे पुरूष नियुक्त किए गए थे जिनके नाम ऊपर लिखे हुए थे कि वे याजकों के सब पुरूषों और उन सब लेवियों को भी उनका भाग दिया करें जिनकी वंशावली थी।

19. And to the sons of Aaron, the priests, in the fields of the suburbs of their cities in every separate city, were men who were called by name to give portions to every male among the priests, and to all enrolled genealogically among the Levites.

20. और सारे यहूदा में भी हिजकिरयाह ने ऐसा ही प्रबन्ध किया, और जो कुछ उसके परमेश्वर यहोवा की दृष्टि में भला ओर ठीक और सच्चाई का था, उसे वह करता था।

20. And Hezekiah did this in all Judah, and did the good and the right and true before Jehovah his God.

21. और जो जो काम उस ने परमेश्वर के भवन की उपासना और व्यवस्था और आज्ञा के विषय अपने परमेश्वर की खोज में किया, वह उस ने अपना सारा मन लगाकर किया और उस में कृतार्थ भी हुआ।

21. And in every work that he began for the service of the house of God, and in the Law, and in the commandment, to seek his God with all his heart, he worked and prospered.
