1. फिर स्वर्ग पर एक बड़ा चिन्ह दिखाई दिया, अर्थात् एक स्त्री जो सूरर्य ओढ़े हुए थी, और चान्द उसके पांवों तले था, और उसके सिर पर बारह तारों का मुकुट था।

1. And, a great sign, appeared in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and, the moon, beneath her feet, and, upon her head, a crown of twelve stars;

2. और वह गर्भवती हुई, और चिल्लाती थी; कयोंकि प्रसव की पीड़ा उसे लगी थी; और वह बच्चा जनने की पीड़ा में थी।

2. and she was with child, and crieth out, being in pangs and in anguish to bring forth?

3. और एक और चिन्ह स्वर्ग पर दिखाई दिया, और देखो; एक बड़ा लाल अजगर था जिस के सात सिर और दस सींग थे, और उसके सिरों पर सात राजमुकुट थे।

3. And there appeared another sign in heaven; and lo! a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and, upon his heads, seven diadems;

4. और उस की पूंछ ने आकाश के तारों की एक तिहाई को खींचकर पृथ्वी पर डाल दिया, और वह अजगर उस स्त्री से साम्हने जो जच्चा थी, खड़ा हुआ, कि जब वह बच्चा जने तो उसके बच्चे को निगल जाए।

4. and, his tail, draweth the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth. And, the dragon, stood before the woman who was about to bring forth, that, as soon as she should bring forth, he might devour, her child.

5. And she brought forth a son, a manchild, who was about to shepherd all the nations with a sceptre of iron; and her child was caught away unto God and unto his throne.

6. और वह स्त्री उस जंगल को भाग गई, जहां परमेश्वर की ओर से उसके लिये एक जगह तैयार की गई थी, कि वहां वह एक हजार दो सौ साठ दिन तक पाली जाए।।

6. And, the woman, fled into the desert, where she hath a place prepared of God, that, there, they should nourish her a thousand, two hundred, and sixty days.

7. फिर स्वर्ग पर लड़ाई हुई, मीकाईल और उसके स्वर्गदूत अजगर से लड़ने को निकले, और अजगर ओर उनके दूत उस से लड़े।

7. And there came to be war in heaven: Michael and his messengers going forth to war with the dragon; and, the dragon, fought, and his messengers;

8. परन्तु प्रबल न हुए, और स्वर्ग में उन के लिये फिर जगह न रही।

8. and he prevailed not, neither was place found for them, any longer, in heaven.

9. और वह बड़ा अजगर अर्थात् वही पुराना सांप, जो इब्लीस और शैतान कहलाता है, और सारे संसार का भरमानेवाला है, पृथ्वी पर गिरा दिया गया; और उसके दूत उसके साथ गिरा दिए गए।

9. And the great dragon was cast out, the ancient serpent, he that is called Adversary and the Satan, that deceiveth the whole habitable world, he was cast to the earth, and his messengers, with him, were cast.

10. फिर मैं ने स्वर्ग पर से यह बड़ा शब्द आते हुए सुना, कि अब हमारे परमेश्वर का उद्धार, और सामर्थ, और राज्य, और उसके मसीह का अधिकार प्रगट हुआ है; क्योंकि हमारे भाइयों पर दोष लगानेवाला, जो रात दिन हमारे परमेश्वर के साम्हने उन पर दोष लगाया करता था, गिरा दिया गया।

10. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying Now, hath come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ; because the accuser of our brethren hath been cast out, who was accusing them before our God day and night;

11. And, they, overcame him by reason of the blood of the Lamb, and by reason of their witnessing word, and they loved not their life, even unto death.

12. इस कारण, हे स्वर्गों, और उन में के रहनेवालों मगन हो; हे पृथ्वी, और समुद्र, तुम पर हाय! क्योंकि शैतान बड़े क्रोध के साथ तुम्हारे पास उतर आया है; क्योंकि जानता है, कि उसका थोड़ा ही समय और बाकी है।।

12. For this cause, be joyful, O heavens, and ye who, therein, are tabernacling. Woe! unto the earth, and the sea, because the Adversary hath come down unto you, having great wrath knowing that, but a little season, he hath.

13. और जब अजगर ने देखा, कि मैं पृथ्वी पर गिरा दिया गया हूं, तो उस स्त्री को जो बेटा जनी थी, सताया।

13. And, when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he pursued the woman who had brought forth the manchild.

14. और उस स्त्री को बड़े उकाब के दो पंख दिए गए, कि सांप के साम्हने से उड़कर जंगल में उस जगह पहुंच जाए, जहां वह एक समय, और समयों, और आधे समय तक पाली जाए।

14. And there were given unto the woman the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the desert, into her place, where she is nourished, a season and seasons and half a season, from the face of the serpent.

15. और सांप ने उस स्त्री के पीछे अपने मुंह से नदी की नाई पानी बहाया, कि उसे इस नदी से बहा दे।

15. And the serpent cast out of his mouth, after the woman, water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream.

16. परन्तु पृथ्वी ने उस स्त्री की सहायता की, और अपना मुंह खोलकर उस नदी को जो अजगर ने अपने मुंह से बहाई थी, पी लिया।

16. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17. और अजगर स्त्री पर क्रोधित हुआ, और उसकी शेष सन्तान से जो परमेश्वर की आज्ञाओं को मानते, और यीशु की गवाही देने पर स्थिर हैं, लड़ने को गया। और वह समुद्र के बालू पर जा खड़ा हुआ।।

17. And the dragon was angered against the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed with them who were keeping the commandments of God, and holding the witness of Jesus; and he stood upon the sand of the sea.
