1. यहोशू बूढ़ा और बहुत उम्र का हो गया; और यहोवा ने उस से कहा, तू बूढ़ा और बहुत उम्र का हो गया है, और बहुत देश रह गए हैं, जो इस्राएल के अधिकार में अभी तक नहीं आए।

1. Nowe when Ioshua was olde, and striken in yeeres, the Lord said vnto him, Thou art olde and growen in age, and there remaineth exceeding much land to be possessed:

2. ये देश रह गए हैं, अर्थात् पलिश्तियों का सारा प्रान्त, और सारे गशूरी

2. This is the land that remaineth, all the regions of the Philistims, and all Geshuri,

3. (मि के आगे शीहोर से लेकर उत्तर की ओर एक्रोन के सिवाने तक जो कनानियों का भाग गिना जाता है; और पलििितशयों के पांचों सरदार, अर्थात् अज्जा, अशदोद, अशकलोन, गत, और एक्रोन के लोग), और दक्खिनी ओर अव्वी भी,

3. From Nilus which is in Egypt, euen vnto the borders of Ekron Northward: this is counted of the Canaanites, euen fiue Lordships of the Philistims, the Azzithites, and the Ashdodites, the Eshkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites, and the Auites:

4. फिर अपेक और एमोरियों के सिवाने तक कनानियो का सारा देश और सीदोनियों का मारा नाम देश,

4. From the South, all the land of the Canaanites, and the caue that is beside the Sidonians, vnto Aphek, and to the borders of the Amorites:

5. फिर गवालियों का देश, और सूर्योदय की ओर हेर्मोन पर्वत के नीचे के बालगाद से लेकर हमात की घाटी तक सारा लबानोन,

5. And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunne rising from Bahal-gad vnder mount Hermon, vntil one come to Hamath.

6. फिर लबानोन से लेकर मि पोतमैम तक सीदोनियों के पहाड़ी देश के निवासी। इनको मैं इस्राएलियों के साम्हने से निकाल दूंगा; इतना हो कि तू मेरी आज्ञा के अनुसार चिट्ठी डाल डालकर उनका देश इस्राएल को बांट दे।

6. All the inhabitants of the mountaines from Lebanon vnto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, I wil cast them out from before the children of Israel: only deuide thou it by lot vnto the Israelites, to inherite, as I haue commanded thee.

7. इसलिये तू अब इस देश को नवों गोत्रों और मनश्शे के आधे गोत्रा को उनका भाग होने के लिये बांट दे।।

7. Nowe therefore deuide this lande to inherite, vnto the nine tribes, and to the halfe tribe of Manasseh.

8. इसके साथ रूबेनियों और गादियों को तो वह भाग मिल चुका था, जिसे मूसा ने उन्हें यरदन के पूर्व की ओर दिया था, क्योंकि यहोवा के दास मूसा ने उन्हीं को दिया था,

8. For with halfe therof the Reubenites and the Gadites haue receiued their inheritance, which Moses gaue them beyond Iorden Eastward, euen as Moses the seruant of the Lord had giuen them,

9. अर्थात् अर्नोन नाम नाले के किनारे के अरोएक से लेकर, और उसी नाले के बीच के नगर को छोड़कर दीबोन तक मेदवा के पास का सारा चौरस देश;

9. From Aroer that is on the brinke of the riuer Arnon, and from the citie that is in the mids of the riuer, and all the plaine of Medeba vnto Dibon,

10. और अम्मोनियों के सिवाने तक हेशबोत में विराजनेवाले एमोरियों के राजा सीहोन के सारे नगर;

10. And all the cities of Sihon King of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, vnto the borders of the children of Ammon,

11. और गिलाद देश, और गशूरियों और माकावासियों का सिवाना, और सारा हेर्मोन पर्वत, और सल्का तक कुल बाशान,

11. And Gilead, and the borders of the Geshurites and of the Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, with all Bashan vnto Salcah:

12. फिर आशतारोत और एद्रेई में विराजनेवाले उस ओग का सारा राज्य जो रपइशें में से अकेला बच गया था; क्योंकि इन्ही को मूसा ने मारकर उनकी प्रजा को उस देश से निकाल दिया था।

12. All the kingdome of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei: (who remained of the rest of the gyants) for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.

13. परन्तु इस्राएलियों ने गशूरियों और माकियों को उनके देश से न निकाला; इसलिये गशूरी और माकी इस्राएलियों के मध्य में आज तक रहते हैं।

13. But the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites euen vnto this day.

14. और लेवी के गोत्रियों को उस ने कोई भाग न दिया; क्योंकि इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा के वचन के अनुसार उसी के हव्य उनके लिये भाग ठहरे हैं।

14. Onely vnto the tribe of Leui he gaue none inheritance, but the sacrifices of the Lord God of Israel are his inheritance, as he said vnto him.

15. मूसा ने रूबेन के गोत्रा को उनके कुलों के अनुसार दिया,

15. Moses then gaue vnto the tribe of the children of Reuben inheritance, according to their families.

16. अर्थात् अर्नोन नाम नाले के किनारे के अरोएर से लेकर और उसी नाले के बीच के नगर को छोड़कर मेदबा के पास का सारा चौरस देश;

16. And their coast was from Aroer, that is on the brinke of the riuer Arnon, and from the citie that is in the middes of the riuer, and all the plaine which is by Medeba:

17. फिर चौरस देश में का हेशबोन और उसके सब गांव; फिर दीबोन, बामोतबाल, बेतबाल्मोन,

17. Heshbon with all the cities thereof, that are in the plaine: Dibon and Bamoth-baal, and Bethbaal-meon:

18. यहसा, कदेमोत, मेपात,

18. And Iahazah, and Kedemoth and Mephaath:

19. किर्यातैम, सिबमा, और तराई में के पहाड़ पर बसा हुआ सेरेथश्शहर,

19. Kiriathaim also, and Sibmah, and Zerethshahar in the mount of Emek:

20. बेंतपोर, पिसगा की सलामी और बेत्यशीमोत,

20. And Beth-peor, and Ashdoth-pisgah, and Beth-ieshimoth:

21. निदान चौरस देश में बसे हुए हेशबोन में विराजनेवाले एमोरियों के उस राजा सीहोन के राज्य के कुल नगर जिन्हें मूसा ने मार लिया था। मूसा ने एवी, रेकेम, सूर, हूर, और रेबा नाम मिस्रान के प्रधानों को भी मार डाला था जो सीहोन के ठहराए हुए हाकिम और उसी देश के निवासी थे।

21. And all the cities of the plaine: and all the kingdome of Sihon King of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whome Moses smote with the Princes of Midian, Eui, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the countrey.

22. और इस्राएलियों ने उनके और मारे हुओं के साथ बोर के पुत्रा भावी कहनेवाले बिलाम को भी तलवार से मार डाला।

22. And Balaam the sonne of Beor the soothsayer did the children of Israel slay with the sword, among them that were slaine.

23. और रूबेनियों का सिवाना यरदन का तीर ठहरा। रूबेनियों का भाग उनके कुलों के अनुसार नगरों और गांवों समेत यही ठहरा।।

23. And the border of the children of Reuben was Iorden with the coastes. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, with the cities and their villages.

24. फिर मूसा ने गाद के गोत्रियों को भी कुलों के अनुसार उनका निज भाग करके बांट दिया।

24. Also Moses gaue inheritance vnto ye tribe of Gad, euen vnto the children of Gad according to their families.

25. तब यह ठहरा, अर्थात् याजेर आदि गिलाद के सारे नगर, और रब्बा के साम्हने के अरोएर तक अम्मोनियों का आधा देश,

25. And their coastes were Iazer, and all the cities of Gilead and halfe the lande of the children of Ammon vnto Aroer, which is before Rabbah:

26. और हेशबोन से रामतमिस्पे और बतोनीम तक, और महनैम से दबीर के सिवाने तक,

26. And from Heshbon vnto Ramoth, Mizpeh, and Betonim: and from Mahanaim vnto the borders of Debir:

27. और तराई में बेथारम, बेनिम्रा, सुक्कोत, और सापोन, और हेश्बोन के राजा सीहोन के राज्य के बचे हुए भाग, और किन्नेरेत नाम ताल के सिरे तक, यरदन के पूर्व की ओर का वह देश जिसका सिवाना यरदन है।

27. And in the valley Beth-aram, and Bethnimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdome of Sihon King of Heshbon, vnto Iorden and the borders euen vnto the Sea coast of Cinneereth, beyond Iorden Eastward.

28. गादियों का भाग उनके कुलों के अनुसार नगरों और गांवों समेत यही ठहरा।।

28. This is the inheritance of the children of Gad, after their families, with the cities, and their villages.

29. फिर मूसा ने मनश्शे के आधे गोत्रियों को भी उनका निज भाग कर दिया; वह मनश्शेइयों के आधे गोत्रा का निज भाग उनके कुलों के अनुसार ठहरा।

29. Also Moses gaue inheritance vnto the halfe tribe of Manasseh: and this belonged to the halfe tribe of the children of Manasseh according to their families.

30. वह यह है, अर्थात् महनैम से लेकर बाशान के राजा ओग के राज्य का सब देश, और बाशान में बसी हुई याईर की साठों बस्तियां,

30. And their border was from Mahanaim, euen all Bashan, to wit, all the kingdome of Og King of Bashan, and all the townes of Iair which are in Bashan, threescore cities,

31. और गिलाद का आधा भाग, और अश्तारोत, और एद्रेई, जो बाशान में ओग के राज्य के नगर थे, ये मनश्शे के पुत्रा माकीर के वंश का, अर्थात् माकीर के आधे वंश का निज भाग कुलों के अनुसार ठहरे।।

31. And halfe Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were giuen vnto the children of Machir the sonne of Manasseh, to halfe of the children of Machir after their families.

32. जो भाग मूसा ने मोआब के अराबा में यरीहो के पास के यरदन के पूर्व की ओर बांट दिए वे ये ही हैं।

32. These are the heritages, which Moses did distribute in the plaine of Moab beyond Iorden, toward Iericho Eastward.

33. परन्तु लेवी के गोत्रा को मूसा ने कोई भाग न दिया; इस्राएल का परमेश्वर यहोवा ही अपने वचन के अनुसार उनका भाग ठहरा।।

33. But vnto the tribe of Leui Moses gaue none inheritance: for the Lord God of Israel is their inheritance, as he said vnto them.
