1. यदि तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की सब आज्ञाएं, जो मैं आज तुझे सुनाता हूं, चौकसी से पूरी करने का चित्त लगाकर उसकी सुने, तो वह तुझे पृथ्वी की सब जातियों में श्रेष्ठ करेगा।

1. And it shall come to pass, if thou shall hearken diligently to the voice of LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that LORD thy God will set thee on high above all the nations of the earth,

2. फिर अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की सुनने के कारण ये सब आर्शीवाद तुझ पर पूरे होंगे।

2. and all these blessings shall come upon thee, and overtake thee, if thou shall hearken to the voice of LORD thy God:

3. धन्य हो तू नगर में, धन्य हो तू खेत में।

3. Blessed shall thou be in the city, and blessed shall thou be in the field.

4. धन्य हो तेरी सन्तान, और तेरी भूमि की उपज, और गाय और भेड़- बकरी आदि पशुओं के बच्चे।
लूका 1:42

4. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy beasts, the increase of thy cattle, and the young of thy flock.

5. धन्य हो तेरी टोकरी और तेरी कठौती।

5. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough.

6. धन्य हो तू भीतर आते समय, और धन्य हो तू बाहर जाते समय।

6. Blessed shall thou be when thou come in, and blessed shall thou be when thou go out.

7. यहोवा ऐसा करेगा कि तेरे शत्रु जो तुझ पर चढ़ाई करेंगे वे तुझ से हार जाएंगे; वे एक मार्ग से तुझ पर चढ़ाई करेंगे, परन्तु तेरे साम्हने से सात मार्ग से होकर भाग जाएंगे।

7. LORD will cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thee. They shall come out against thee one way, and shall flee before thee seven ways.

8. तेरे खत्तों पर और जितने कामों में तू हाथ लगाएगा उन सभों पर यहोवा आशीष देगा; इसलिये जो देश तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे देता है उस में वह तुझे आशीष देगा।

8. LORD will command the blessing upon thee in thy barns, and in all that thou put thy hand to. And he will bless thee in the land which LORD thy God gives thee.

9. यदि तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की आज्ञाओं को मानते हुए उसके मार्गों पर चले, तो वह अपनी शपथ के अनुसार तुझै अपनी पवित्रा प्रजा करके स्थिर रखेगा।

9. LORD will establish thee for a holy people to himself, as he has sworn to thee, if thou shall keep the commandments of LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

10. और पृथ्वी के देश देश के सब लोग यह देखकर, कि तू यहोवा का कहलाता है, तुझ से डर जाएंगे।

10. And all the peoples of the earth shall see that thou are called by the name of LORD, and they shall be afraid of thee.

11. और जिस देश के विषय यहोवा ने तेरे पूर्वजों से शपथ खाकर तुझे देने को कहा, था उस में वह तेरी सन्तान की, और भूमि की उपज की, और पशुओं की बढ़ती करके तेरी भलाई करेगा।

11. And LORD will make thee plenteous for good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which LORD swore to thy fathers to give thee.

12. यहोवा तेरे लिये अपने आकाशरूपी उत्तम भण्डार को खोलकर तेरी भूमि पर समय पर मेंह बरसाया करेगा, और तेरे सारे कामों पर आशीष देगा; और तू बहुतेरी जातियों को उधार देगा, परन्तु किसी से तुझे उधार लेना न पड़ेगा।

12. LORD will open to thee his good treasure the heavens, to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thy hand. And thou shall lend to many nations, and thou shall not borrow.

13. और यहोवा तुझ को पुंछ नहीं, किन्तु सिर ही ठहराएगा, और तू नीचे नहीं, परन्तु ऊपर ही रहेगा; यदि परमेश्वर यहोवा की आज्ञाएं जो मैं आज तुझ को सुनाता हूं, तू उनके मानने में मन लगाकर चौकसी करे;

13. And LORD will make thee the head, and not the tail. And thou shall only be above, and thou shall not be beneath, if thou shall hearken to the commandments of LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do,

14. और जिन वचनों की मैं आज तुझे आज्ञा देता हूं उन में से किसी से दहिने वा बाएं मुड़के पराये देवताओं के पीछे न हो ले, और न उनकी सेवा करे।।

14. and shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

15. परन्तु यदि तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की बात न सुने, और उसकी सारी आज्ञाओं और विधियों के पालने में जो मैं आज सुनाता हूं चौकसी नहीं करेगा, तो ये सब शाप तुझ पर आ पड़ेंगे।

15. But it shall come to pass, if thou will not hearken to the voice of LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day, that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

16. अर्थात् शापित हो तू नगर में, शापित हो तू खेत में।

16. Cursed shall thou be in the city, and cursed shall thou be in the field.

17. शापित हो तेरी टोकरी और तेरी कठौती।

17. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough.

18. शापित हो तेरी सन्तान, और भूमि की उपज, और गायों और भेड़- बकरियों के बच्चे।

18. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, the increase of thy cattle, and the young of thy flock.

19. शापित हो तू भीतर आते समय, और शापित हो तू बाहर जाते समय।

19. Cursed shall thou be when thou come in, and cursed shall thou be when thou go out.

20. फिर जिस जिस काम में तू हाथ लगाए, उस में यहोवा तब तक तुझ को शाप देता, और भयातुरं करता, और धमकी देता रहेगा, जब तक तू मिट न जाए, और शीघ्र नष्ट न हो जाए; यह इस कारण होगा कि तू यहोवा को त्यागकर दुष्ट काम करेगा।

20. LORD will send upon thee cursing, discomfiture, and rebuke, in all that thou put thy hand to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly, because of the evil of thy doings, by which thou have forsaken me.

21. और यहोवा ऐसा करेगा कि मरी तुझ में फैलकर उस समय तक लगी रहेगी, जब तक जिस भूमि के अधिकारी होने के लिये तू जा रहा है उस से तेरा अन्त न हो जाए।

21. LORD will make the pestilence cling to thee, until he has consumed thee from off the land, where thou go in to possess it.

22. यहोवा तुझ को क्षयरोग से, और ज्वर, और दाह, और बड़ी जलन से, और तलवार से, और झुलस, और गेरूई से मारेगा; और ये उस समय तक तेरा पीछा किये रहेंगे, तब तक तू सत्यानाश न हो जाए।

22. LORD will smite thee with consumption, and with fever, and with inflammation, and with fiery heat, and with the sword, and with blight, and with mildew. And they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

23. और तेरे सिर के ऊपर आकाश पीतल का, और तेरे पांव के तले भूमि लोहे की हो जाएगी।

23. And thy sky that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.

24. यहोवा तेरे देश में पानी के बदले बालू और धूलि बरसाएगा; वह आकाश से तुझ पर यहां तक बरसेगी कि तू सत्यानाश हो जाएगा।

24. LORD will make the rain of thy land powder and dust. From the sky it shall come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

25. यहोवा तुझ को शत्रुओं से हरवाएगा; और तू एक मार्ग से उनका साम्हना करने को जाएगा, परन्तु सात मार्ग से होकर उनके साम्हने से भाग जाएगा; और पृथ्वी के सब राज्यों में मारा मारा फिरेगा।

25. LORD will cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies. Thou shall go out one way against them, and shall flee seven ways before them. And thou shall be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth.

26. और तेरी लोथ आकाश के भांति भांति के पक्षियों, और धरती के पशुओं का आहार होगी; और उनका कोई हाँकनेवाला न होगा।

26. And thy dead body shall be food to all birds of the sky, and to the beasts of the earth, and there shall be none to frighten them away.

27. यहोवा तुझ को मि के से फोड़े, और बवासीर, और दाद, और खुजली से ऐसा पीड़ित करेगा, कि तू चंगा न हो सकेगा।

27. LORD will smite thee with the boil of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scurvy, and with the itch, of which thou cannot be healed.

28. यहोवा तुझे पागल और अन्धा कर देगा, और तेरे मन को अत्यन्त घबरा देगा;

28. LORD will smite thee with madness, and with blindness, and with confusion of mind,

29. और जैसे अन्धा अन्धियारे में टटोलता है वैसे ही तू दिन दुपहरी में टटोलता फिरेगा, और तेरे काम काज सुफल न होंगे; और तू सदैव केवल अन्धेर सहता और लुटता ही रहेगा, और तेरा कोई छुड़ानेवाला न होगा।

29. and thou shall grope at noonday, as the blind man gropes in darkness. And thou shall not prosper in thy ways. And thou shall only be oppressed and robbed always, and there shall be none to save thee.

30. तू स्त्री से ब्याह की बात लगाएगा, परन्तु दूसरा पुरूष उसको भ्रष्ट करेगा; घर तू बनाएगा, परन्तु उस में बसने न पाएगा; दाख की बारी तू लगाएगा, परन्तु उसके फल खाने न पाएगा।

30. Thou shall betroth a wife, and another man shall lay with her. Thou shall build a house, and thou shall not dwell in it. Thou shall plant a vineyard, and shall not use the fruit of it.

31. तेरा बैल तेरी आंखों के साम्हने मारा जाएगा, और तू उसका मांस खाने न पाएगा; तेरा गदहा तेरी आंख के साम्हने लूट में चला जाएगा, और तुझे फिर न मिलेगा; तेरी भेड़- बकरियां तेरे शत्रुओं के हाथ लग जाएंगी, और तेरी ओर से उनका कोई छुडानेवाला न होगा।

31. Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shall not eat of it. Thy donkey shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee. Thy sheep shall be given to thine enemies, and thou shall have none to save thee.

32. तेरे बेटे- बेटियां दूसरे देश के लोगों के हाथ लग जाएंगे, और उनके लिये चाव से देखते देखते तेरी आंखे रह जाएंगी; और तेरा कुछ बस न चलेगा।

32. Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given to another people. And thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day, and there shall be nothing in the power of thy hand.

33. तेरी भूमि की उपज और तेरी सारी कमाई एक अनजाने देश के लोगे खा जाएंगे; और सर्वदा तू केवल अन्धेर सहता और पीसा जाता रहेगा;

33. The fruit of thy ground, and all thy labors, shall a nation eat up which thou know not. And thou shall only be oppressed and crushed always,

34. यहां तक कि तू उन बातों के कारण जो अपनी आंखों से देखेगा पागल हो जाएगा।

34. so that thou shall be mad because of the sight of thine eyes which thou shall see.

35. यहोवा तेरे घुटनों और टांगों में, वरन नख से शिख तक भी असाध्य फोड़े निकालकर तुझ को पीड़ित करेगा।
प्रकाशितवाक्य 16:2

35. LORD will smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore boil, of which thou cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot to the crown of thy head.

36. यहोवा तुझ को उस राजा समेत, जिस को तू अपने ऊपर ठहराएगा, तेरी और तेरे पूर्वजों से अनजानी एक जाति के बीच पहुंचाएगा; और उसके मध्य में रहकर तू काठ और पत्थर के दूसरे देवताओं की उपासना और पूजा करेगा।

36. LORD will bring thee, and thy king whom thou shall set over thee, to a nation that thou have not known, thou nor thy fathers. And there thou shall serve other gods, wood and stone.

37. और उन सब जातियों में जिनके मध्य में यहोवा तुझ को पहुंचाएगा, वहां के लोगों के लिये तू चकित होने का, और दृष्टान्त और शाप का कारण समझा जाएगा।

37. And thou shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all the peoples where LORD shall lead thee away.

38. तू खेत में बीज तो बहुत सा ले जाएगा, परन्तु उपज थोड़ी ही बटोरेगा; क्योंकि टिडि्डयां उसे खा जाएंगी।

38. Thou shall carry much seed out into the field, and shall gather little in, for the locust shall consume it.

39. तू दाख की बारियां लगाकर उन मे काम तो करेगा, परन्तु उनकी दाख का मधु पीने न पाएगा, वरन फल भी तोड़ने न पाएगा; क्योंकि कीड़े उनको खा जाएंगे।

39. Thou shall plant vineyards and dress them, but thou shall neither drink of the wine, nor gather, for the worm shall eat them.

40. तेरे सारे देश में जलपाई के वृक्ष तो होंगे, परन्तु उनका तेल तू अपने शरीर में लगाने न पाएगा; क्योंकि वे झड़ जाएंगे।

40. Thou shall have olive trees throughout all thy borders, but thou shall not anoint thyself with the oil, for thine olive shall drop off.

41. तेरे बेटे- बेटियां तो उत्पन्न होंगे, परन्तु तेरे रहेंगे नहीं; क्योंकि वे बन्धुवाई में चले जाएंगे।

41. Thou shall beget sons and daughters, but they shall not be thine, for they shall go into captivity.

42. तेरे सब वृक्ष और तेरी भूमि की उपज टिडि्डयां खा जाएंगी।

42. All thy trees and the fruit of thy ground shall the locust possess.

43. जो परदेशी तेरे मध्य में रहेगा वह तुझ से बढ़ता जाएगा; और तू आप घटता चला जाएगा।

43. The sojourner who is in the midst of thee shall mount up above thee higher and higher, and thou shall come down lower and lower.

44. वह तुझ को उधार देगा, परन्तु तू उसको उधार न दे सकेगा; वह तो सिर और तू पूंछ ठहरेगा।

44. He shall lend to thee, and thou shall not lend to him. He shall be the head, and thou shall be the tail.

45. तू जो अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की दी हुई आज्ञाओं और विधियों के मानने को उसकी न सुनेगा, इस कारण ये सब शाप तुझ पर आ पड़ेंगे, और तेरे पीछे पड़े रहेंगे, और तुझ को पकड़ेंगे, और अन्त में तू नष्ट हो जाएगा।

45. And all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed, because thou hearkened not to the voice of LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee,

46. और वे तुझ पर और तेरे वंश पर सदा के लिये बने रहकर चिन्ह और चमत्कार ठहरेंगे;

46. and they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed forever.

47. तू जो सब पदार्थ की बहुतायत होने पर भी आनन्द और प्रसन्नता के साथ अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की सेवा नहीं करेगा,

47. Because thou served not LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things,

48. इस कारण तुझ को भूखा, प्यासा, नंगा, और सब पदार्थों से रहित होकर अपने उन शत्रुओं की सेवा करनी पड़ेगी जिन्हें यहोवा तेरे विरूद्ध भेजेगा; और जब तक तू नष्ट न हो जाए तब तक वह तेरी गर्दन पर लेहे का जूआ डाल रखेगा।

48. therefore thou shall serve thine enemies that LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things. And he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he has destroyed thee.

49. यहोवा तेरे विरूद्ध दूर से, वरन पृथ्वी के छोर से वेग उड़नेवाले उकाब सी एक जाति को चढ़ा लाएगा जिसकी भाषा को तू न समझेगा;

49. LORD will bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies, a nation whose tongue thou shall not understand,

50. उस जाति के लोगों का व्यवहार क्रूर होगा, वे न तो बूढ़ों का मुंह देखकर आदर करेंगे, और न बालकों पर दया करेंगे;

50. a nation of fierce countenance, that shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young,

51. और वे तेरे पशुओं के बच्चे और भूमि की उपज यहां तक खा जांएगे कि तू नष्ट हो जाएगा; और वे तेरे लिये न अन्न, और न नया दाखमधु, और न टटका तेल, और न बछड़े, न मेम्ने छोड़ेंगे, यहां तक कि तू नाश हो जाएगा।

51. and shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy ground, until thou be destroyed, that also shall not leave thee grain, new wine, or oil, the increase of thy cattle, or the young of thy flock, until they have caused thee to perish.

52. और वे तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा के दिये हुए सारे देश के सब फाटकों के भीतर तुझे घेर रखेंगे; वे तेरे सब फाटकों के भीतर तुझे उस समय तक घेरेंगे, जब तक तेरे सारे देश में तेरी ऊंची ऊंची और दृढ़ शहरपनाहें जिन पर तू भरोसा करेगा गिर न जाएं।

52. And they shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fortified walls come down, in which thou trusted, throughout all thy land. And they shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which LORD thy God has given thee.

53. तब घिर जाने और उस सकेती के समय जिस में तेरे शत्रु तुझ को डालेंगे, तू अपने निज जन्माए बेटे- बेटियों का मांस जिन्हें तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझ को देगा खाएगा।

53. And thou shall eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, whom LORD thy God has given thee, in the siege and in the distress with which thine enemies shall distress thee.

54. और तुझ में जो पुरूष कोमल और अति सुकुमार हो वह भी अपने भाई, और अपनी प्राणप्यारी, और अपने बचे हुए बालकों को क्रूर दृष्टि से देखेगा;

54. The man who is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his sons whom he has remaining,

55. और वह उन में से किसी को भी अपने बालकों के मांस में से जो वह आप खाएगा कुछ न देगा, क्योंकि घिर जाने और उस सकेती में, जिस में तेरे शत्रु तेरे सारे फाटकों के भीतर तुझे घेर डालेंगे, उसके पास कुछ न रहेगा।

55. so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his sons whom he shall eat, because he has nothing left to him, in the siege and in the distress with which thine enemy shall distress thee in all thy gates.

56. और तुझ में जो स्त्री यहां तक कोमल और सुकुमार हो कि सुकुमारपन के और कोमलता के मारे भूमि पर पांव धरते भी डरती हो, वह भी अपने प्राणप्रिय पति, और बेटे, और बेटी को,

56. The tender and delicate woman among you, who would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,

57. अपनी खेरी, वरन अपने जने हुए बच्चों को क्रूर दृष्टि से देखेगी, क्योंकि घिर जाने और सकेती के समय जिस में तेरे शत्रु तुझे तेरे फाटकों के भीतर घेरकर रखेंगे, वह सब वस्तुओं की घटी के मारे उन्हें छिप के खाएगी।

57. and toward her young one who comes out from between her feet, and toward her sons whom she shall bear, for she shall eat them secretly for want of all things, in the siege and in the distress with which thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.

58. यदि तू इन व्यवस्था के सारे वचनों के पालने में, जो इस पुस्तक में लिखें है, चौकसी करके उस आदरनीय और भययोग्य नाम का, जो यहोवा तेरे परमेश्वर का है भय न माने,

58. If thou will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou may fear this glorious and fearful name, LORD thy GOD,

59. तो यहोवा तुझ को और तेरे वंश को अनोखे अनोखे दण्ड देगा, वे दुष्ट और बहुत दिन रहनेवाले रोग और भारी भारी दण्ड होंगे।

59. then LORD will make thy calamities extraordinary, and the calamities of thy seed, even great calamities, and of long continuance, and severe sicknesses, and of long continuance.

60. और वह मि के उन सब रोगों को फिर तेरे ऊपर लगा देगा, जिन से तू भय खाता था; और वे तुझ में लगे रहेंगे।

60. And he will bring upon thee again all the diseases of Egypt, which thou were afraid of, and they shall cling to thee.

61. और जितने रोग आदि दण्ड इस व्यवस्था की पुस्तक में नहीं लिखे हैं, उन सभों को भी यहोवा तुझ को यहां तक लगा देगा, कि तू सत्यानाश हो जाएगा।

61. Also every sickness, and every calamity, which is not written in the book of this law, them LORD will bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

62. और तू जो अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की न मानेगा, इस कारण आकाश के तारों के समान अनगिनित होने की सन्ती तुझ में से थोड़े ही मनुष्य रह जाएंगे।

62. And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude, because thou did not hearken to the voice of LORD thy God.

63. और जैसे अब यहोवा की तुम्हारी भलाई और बढ़ती करने से हर्ष होता है, वैसे ही तब उसको तुम्हें नाश वरन सत्यानाश करने से हर्ष होगा; और जिस भूमि के अधिकारी होने को तुम जा रहे हो उस पर से तुम उखाड़े जाओगे।

63. And it shall come to pass, that, as LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you, so LORD will rejoice over you to cause you to perish, and to destroy you. And ye shall be plucked from off the land where thou go in to possess it.

64. और यहोवा तुझ को पृथ्वी के इस छोर से लेकर उस छोर तक के सब देशों के लोगों में तित्तर बित्तर करेगा; और वहां रहकर तू अपने और अपने पुरखाओं के अनजाने काठ और पत्थर के दूसरे देवताओं की उपासना करेगा।

64. And LORD will scatter thee among all peoples, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. And there thou shall serve other gods, which thou have not known, thou nor thy fathers, even wood and stone.

65. और उन जातियों में तू कभी चैन न पाएगा, और न तेरे पांव को ठिकाना मिलेगा; क्योंकि वहां यहोवा ऐसा करेगा कि तेरा हृदय कांपता रहेगा, और तेरी आंखे धुंधली पड़ जाएगीं, और तेरा मन कलपता रहेगा;

65. And among these nations thou shall find no ease, and there shall be no rest for the sole of thy foot, but LORD will give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and pining of soul.

66. और तुझ को जीवन का नित्य सन्देह रहेगा; और तू दिन रात थरथराता रहेगा, और तेरे जीवन का कुछ भरोसा न रहेगा।

66. And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee, and thou shall fear night and day, and shall have no assurance of thy life.

67. तेरे मन में जो भय बना रहेगा, उसके कारण तू भोर को आह मारके कहेगा, कि सांझ कब होगी! और सांझ को आह मारके कहेगा, कि भोर कब होगा।

67. In the morning thou shall say, Would it were evening! and at evening thou shall say, Would it were morning! for the fear of thy heart which thou shall fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shall see.

68. और यहोवा तुझ को नावों पर चढ़ाकर मि में उस मार्ग से लौटा देगा, जिसके विषय में मैं ने तुझ से कहा था, कि वह फिर तेरे देखने में न आएगा; और वहंा तुम अपने शत्रुओं के हाथ दास- दासी होने के लिये बिकाऊ तो रहोगे, परन्तु तुम्हारा कोई ग्राहक न होगा।।

68. And LORD will bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way of which I said to thee, Thou shall see it no more again. And there ye shall sell yourselves to your enemies for bondmen and for bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
