1. निदान हम बलवानों को चाहिए, कि निर्बलों की निर्बलताओं को सहें; न कि अपने आप को प्रसन्न करें।

1. WE WHO are strong [in our convictions and of robust faith] ought to bear with the failings and the frailties and the tender scruples of the weak; [we ought to help carry the doubts and qualms of others] and not to please ourselves.

2. हम में से हर एक अपने पड़ोसी को उस की भलाई के लिये सुधारने के निमित्त प्रसन्न करे।

2. Let each one of us make it a practice to please (make happy) his neighbor for his good and for his true welfare, to edify him [to strengthen him and build him up spiritually].

3. क्योंकि मसीह ने अपने आप को प्रसन्न नहीं किया, पर जैसा लिखा है, कि तेरे निन्दकों की निन्दा मुझ पर आ पड़ी।

3. For Christ did not please Himself [gave no thought to His own interests]; but, as it is written, The reproaches and abuses of those who reproached and abused you fell on Me. [Ps. 69:9.]

4. जितनी बातें पहिले से लिखी गईं, वे हमारी ही शिक्षा के लिये लिखी गईं हैं कि हम धीरज और पवित्रा शास्त्रा की शान्ति के द्वारा आशा रखें।

4. For whatever was thus written in former days was written for our instruction, that by [our steadfast and patient] endurance and the encouragement [drawn] from the Scriptures we might hold fast to and cherish hope.

5. और धीरज, और शान्ति का दाता परमेश्वर तुम्हें यह बरदान दे, कि मसीह यीशु के अनुसार आपस में एक मन रहो।

5. Now may the God Who gives the power of patient endurance (steadfastness) and Who supplies encouragement, grant you to live in such mutual harmony and such full sympathy with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus,

6. ताकि तुम एक मन औश्र एक मुंह होकर हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह कि पिता परमेश्वर की बड़ाई करो।

6. That together you may [unanimously] with united hearts and one voice, praise and glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

7. इसलिये, जैसा मसीह ने भी परमेश्वर की महिमा के लिये तुम्हें ग्रहण किया है, वैसे ही तुम भी एक दूसरे को ग्रहण करो।

7. Welcome and receive [to your hearts] one another, then, even as Christ has welcomed and received you, for the glory of God.

8. मैं कहता हूं, कि जो प्रतिज्ञाएं बापदादों को दी गई थीं, उन्हें दृढ़ करने के लिये मसीह, परमेश्वर की सच्चाई का प्रमाण देने के लिये खतना किए हुए लोगों का सेवक बना।

8. For I tell you that Christ (the Messiah) became a servant and a minister to the circumcised (the Jews) in order to show God's truthfulness and honesty by confirming (verifying) the promises [given] to our fathers,

9. And [also in order] that the Gentiles (nations) might glorify God for His mercy [not covenanted] to them. As it is written, Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles and sing praises to Your name. [Ps. 18:49.]

10. Again it is said, Rejoice (exult), O Gentiles, along with His [own] people; [Deut. 32:43.]

12. और फिर यशायाह कहता है, कि यिशै की एक जड़ प्रगट होगी, और अन्यजातियों का हाकिम होने के लिये एक उठेगा, उस पर अन्यजातियां आशा रखेंगी।

12. And further Isaiah says, There shall be a Sprout from the Root of Jesse, He Who rises to rule over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles hope. [Isa. 11:1, 10; Rev. 5:5; 22:16.]

13. सो परमेश्वर जो आशा का दाता है तुम्हें विश्वास करने में सब प्रकार के आनन्द और शान्ति से परिपूर्ण करे, कि पवित्राआत्मा की सामर्थ से तुम्हारी आशा बढ़ती जाए।।

13. May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.

14. हे मेरे भाइयो; मैं आप भी तुम्हारे विषय में निश्चय जानता हूं, कि तुम भी आप ही भलाई से भरे और ईश्वरीय ज्ञान से भरपूर हो और एक दूसरे को चिता सकते हो।

14. Personally I am satisfied about you, my brethren, that you yourselves are rich in goodness, amply filled with all [spiritual] knowledge and competent to admonish and counsel and instruct one another also.

15. तौभी मैं ने कहीं कहीं याद दिलाने के लिये तुम्हें जो बहुत हियाव करके लिखा, यह उस अनुग्रह के कारण हुआ, जो परमेश्वर ने मुझे दिया है।

15. Still on some points I have written to you the more boldly and unreservedly by way of reminder. [I have done so] because of the grace (the unmerited favor) bestowed on me by God

16. कि मैं अन्याजातियों के लिये मसीह यीशु का सेवक होकर परमेश्वर के सुसमाचार की सेवा याजक की नाई करूं; जिस से अन्यजातियों का मानों चढ़ाया जाना, पवित्रा आत्मा से पवित्रा बनकर ग्रहण किया जाए।

16. In making me a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. I act in the priestly service of the Gospel (the good news) of God, in order that the sacrificial offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable [to God], consecrated and made holy by the Holy Spirit.

17. सो उन बातों के विषय में जो परमेश्वर से सम्बन्ध रखती हैं, मैं मसीह यीशु में बड़ाई कर सकता हूं।

17. In Christ Jesus, then, I have legitimate reason to glory (exult) in my work for God [in what through Christ Jesus I have accomplished concerning the things of God].

18. क्योंकि उन बातों को छोड़ मुझे और किसी बात के विषय में कहने का हियाव नहीं, जो मसीह ने अन्यजातियों की अधीनता के लिये वचन, और कर्म।

18. For [of course] I will not venture (presume) to speak thus of any work except what Christ has actually done through me [as an instrument in His hands] to win obedience from the Gentiles, by word and deed,

19. और चिन्हों और अदभुत् कामों की सामर्थ से, और पवित्रा आत्मा की सामर्थ से मेरे ही द्वारा किए : यहां तक कि मैं ने यरूशलेम से लेकर चारों ओर इल्लुरिकुस तक मसीह के सुसमाचार का पूरा पूरा प्रचार किया।

19. [Even as my preaching has been accompanied] with the power of signs and wonders, [and all of it] by the power of the Holy Spirit. [The result is] that starting from Jerusalem and as far round as Illyricum, I have fully preached the Gospel [faithfully executing, accomplishing, carrying out to the full the good news] of Christ (the Messiah) in its entirety.

20. पर मेरे मन की उमंग यह है, कि जहां जहां मसीह का नाम नहीं लिया गया, वहीं सुसमाचार सुनाऊं; ऐसा न हो, कि जिन्हें उसका सुसमाचार नहीं पहुंचा, वे ही देखेंगे और जिन्हों ने नहीं सुना वे ही समझेंगे।।

20. Thus my ambition has been to preach the Gospel, not where Christ's name has already been known, lest I build on another man's foundation;

21. परन्तु जैसा लिखा है, वैसा ही हो, कि जिन्हें उसका सुसमाचार नहीं पहुंचा, वे ही देखेंगे और जिन्हों ने नहीं सुना वे ही समझेंगे।।

21. But [instead I would act on the principle] as it is written, They shall see who have never been told of Him, and they shall understand who have never heard [of Him]. [Isa. 52:15.]

22. इसी लिये मैं तुम्हारे पास आने से बार बार रूका रहा।

22. This [ambition] is the reason why I have so frequently been hindered from coming to visit you.

23. परन्तु अब मुझे इन देशों में और जगह नहीं रही, और बहुत वर्षों से मुझे तुम्हारे पास आने की लालसा है।

23. But now since I have no further opportunity for work in these regions, and since I have longed for enough years to come to you,

24. इसलिये जब इसपानिया को जाऊंगा तो तुम्हारे पास होता हुआ जाऊंगा क्योंकि मुझे आशा है, कि उस यात्रा में तुम से भेंट करूं, और जब तुम्हारी संगति से मेरा जी कुछ भर जाए, तो तुम मुझे कुछ दूर आगे पहुंचा दो।

24. I hope to see you in passing [through Rome] as I go [on my intended trip] to Spain, and to be aided on my journey there by you, after I have enjoyed your company for a little while.

25. परन्तु अभी तो पवित्रा लोगों की सेवा करने के लिये यरूशलेम को जाता हूं।

25. For the present, however, I am going to Jerusalem to bring aid (relief) for the saints (God's people there).

26. क्योंकि मकिदुनिया और अखया के लोगों को यह अच्छा लगा, कि यरूशलेम के पवित्रा लोगों के कंगालों के लिये कुछ चन्दा करें।

26. For it has been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make some contribution for the poor among the saints of Jerusalem.

27. अच्छा तो लगा, परन्तु वे उन के कर्जदार भी हैं, क्योंकि यदि अन्यजाति उन की आत्मिक बातों में भागी हुए, तो उन्हें भी उचित है, कि शारीरिक बातों में उन की सेवा करें।

27. They were pleased to do it; and surely they are in debt to them, for if these Gentiles have come to share in their [the Jerusalem Jews'] spiritual blessings, then they ought also to be of service to them in material blessings.

28. सो मैं यह काम पूरा करके और उन को यह चन्दा सौंपकर तुम्हारे पास होता हुआ इसपानिया को जाऊंगा।

28. When therefore I have completed this mission and have delivered to them [at Jerusalem] what has been raised, I shall go on by way of you to Spain.

29. और मैं जानता हूं, कि जब मैं तुम्हारे पास आऊंगा, तो मसीह की पूरी आशीष के साथ आऊंगा।।

29. And I know that when I do come to you, I shall come in the abundant blessing of the Gospel of Christ.

30. और हे भाइयों; मैं यीशु मसीह का जो हमारा प्रभु है और पवित्रा आत्मा के प्रेम का स्मरण दिला कर, तुम से बिनती करता हूं, कि मेरे लिये परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करने में मेरे साथ मिलकर लौलीन रहो।

30. I appeal to you [I entreat you], brethren, for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love [given by] the Spirit, to unite with me in earnest wrestling in prayer to God in my behalf.

31. कि मैं यहूदिया के अविश्वासियों से बचा रहूं, और मेरी वह सेवा जो यरूशलेम के लिये है, पवित्रा लोगों को भाए।

31. [Pray] that I may be delivered (rescued) from the unbelievers in Judea and that my mission of relief to Jerusalem may be acceptable and graciously received by the saints (God's people there),

32. और मैं परमेश्वर की इच्छा से तुम्हारे पास आनन्द के साथ आकर तुम्हारे साथ विश्राम पाऊं।

32. So that by God's will I may subsequently come to you with joy (with a happy heart) and be refreshed [by the interval of rest] in your company.

33. शान्ति का परमेश्वर तुम सब के साथ रहे। आमीन।।

33. May [our] peace-giving God be with you all! Amen (so be it).
