1. हे भाइयो, मेरे मन की अभिलाषा और उन के लिये परमेश्वर से मेरी प्रार्थना है, कि वे उद्धार पाएं।

1. Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God concerning them is for their salvation!

2. क्योंकि मैं उन की गवाही देता हूं, कि उन को परमेश्वर के लिये धुन रहती है, परन्तु बुद्धिमानी के साथ नहीं।

2. I can testify about them that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

3. क्योंकि वे परमेश्वर की धार्मिकता से अनजान होकर, और अपनी धार्मिकता स्थापन करने का यत्न करके, परमेश्वर की धार्मिकता के आधीन न हुए।

3. Because they disregarded the righteousness from God and attempted to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted to God's righteousness.

4. क्योंकि हर एक विश्वास करनेवाले के लिये धार्मिकता के निमित्त मसीह व्यवस्था का अन्त है।

4. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

5. क्योंकि मूसा ने यह लिखा है, कि जो मनुष्य उस धार्मिकता पर जो व्यवस्था से है, चलता है, वह इसी कारण जीवित रहेगा।

5. For Moses writes about the righteousness that is from the law: The one who does these things will live by them.

6. परन्तु जो धार्मिकता विश्वास से है, वह यों कहती है, कि तू अपने मन में यह न कहना कि स्वर्ग पर कौन चढ़ेगा? (अर्थात् मसीह को उतार लाने के लिये!)

6. But the righteousness that comes from faith speaks like this: Do not say in your heart, 'Who will go up to heaven?' that is, to bring Christ down

7. या गहिराव में कौन उतरेगा? (अर्थात् मसीह को मरे हुओं में से जिलाकर ऊपर लाने के लिये!)

7. or, 'Who will go down into the abyss?' that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.

8. परन्तु क्या कहती है? यह, कि वचन तेरे निकट है, तेरे मुंह में और तेरे मन में है; यह वही विश्वास का वचन है, जो हम प्रचार करते हैं।

8. On the contrary, what does it say? The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the message of faith that we proclaim:

9. कि यदि तू अपने मुंह से यीशु को प्रभु जानकर अंगीकार करे और अपने मन से विश्वास करे, कि परमेश्वर ने उसे मरे हुओं में से जिलाया, तो तू निश्चय उद्धार पाएगा।

9. if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10. क्योंकि धार्मिकता के लिये मन से विश्वास किया जाता है, और उद्धार के लिये मुंह से अंगीकार किया जाता है।

10. With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation.

11. क्योंकि पवित्रा शास्त्रा यह कहता है कि जो कोई उस पर विश्वास करेगा, वह लज्जित न होगा।

11. Now the Scripture says, No one who believes on Him will be put to shame,

12. यहूदियों और यूनानियों में कुछ भेद नहीं, इसलिये कि वह सब का प्रभु है; और अपने सब नाम लेनेवालों के लिये उदार है।

12. for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, since the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on Him.

13. क्योंकि जो कोई प्रभु का नाम लेगा, वह उद्धार पाएगा।

13. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

14. फिर जिस पर उन्हों ने विश्वास नहीं किया, वे उसका नाम क्योंकर लें? और जिस की नहीं सुनी उस पर क्योंकर विश्वास करें?

14. But how can they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher?

15. और प्रचारक बिना क्योंकर सुनें? और यदि भेजे न जाएं, तो क्योंकर प्रचार करें? जैसा लिखा है, कि उन के पांव क्या ही सोहावने हैं, जो अच्छी बातों का सुसमाचार सुनाते हैं।

15. And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How welcome are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things!

16. But all did not obey the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message?

17. सो विश्वास सुनने से, और सुनना मसीह के वचन से होता है।

17. So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.

18. परन्तु मैं कहता हूं, क्या उन्हों ने नहीं सुना? सुना तो सही क्योंकि लिखा है कि उन के स्वर सारी पृथ्वी पर, और उन के वचन जगत की छोर तक पहुंच गए हैं।

18. But I ask, 'Did they not hear?' Yes, they did: Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the inhabited world.

19. फिर मैं कहता हूं। क्या इस्त्राएली नहीं जानते थे? पहिले तो मूसा कहता है, कि मैं उन के द्वारा जो जाति नहीं, तुम्हारे मन में जलन उपजाऊंगा, मैं एक मूढ़ जाति के द्वारा तुम्हें रिस दिलाऊंगा।

19. But I ask, 'Did Israel not understand?' First, Moses said: I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that lacks understanding.

21. But to Israel he says: All day long I have spread out My hands to a disobedient and defiant people.
