1. पौलुस की ओर से जो यीशु मसीह का दास है, और पे्ररित होने के लिये बुलाया गया, और परमेश्वर के उस सुसमाचार के लिये अलग किया गया है।

2. जिस की उस ने पहिले ही से अपने भविष्यद्वक्ताओं के द्वारा पवित्रा शास्त्रा में।

3. अपने पुत्रा हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह के विषय में प्रतिज्ञा की थी, जो शरीर के भाव से तो दाऊद के वंश से उत्पन्न हुआ।

3. which is maad to hym of the seed of Dauid bi the flesch,

4. और पवित्राता की आत्मा के भाव से मरे हुओं में से जी उठने के कारण सामर्थ के साथ परमेश्वर का पुत्रा ठहरा है।

4. and he was bifor ordeyned the sone of God in vertu, bi the spirit of halewyng of the ayenrisyng of deed men, of Jhesu Crist oure Lord,

5. जिस के द्वारा हमें अनुग्रह और प्रेरिताई मिली; कि उसके नाम के कारण सब जातियों के लोग विश्वास करके उस की मानें।

5. bi whom we han resseyued grace and the office of apostle, to obeie to the feith in alle folkis for his name,

6. जिन में से तुम भी यीशु मसीह के होने के लिये बुलाए गए हो।

7. उन सब के नाम जो रोम में परमेश्वर के प्यारे हैं और पवित्रा होने के लिये बुलाए गए हैं।। हमारे पिता परमेश्वर और प्रभु यीशु मसीह की ओर से तुम्हें अनुग्रह और शान्ति मिलती रहे।।

8. पहिले मैं तुम सब के लिये यीशु मसीह के द्वारा अपने परमेश्वर का धन्यवाद करता हूं, कि तुम्हारे विश्वास की चर्चा सारे जगत में हो रही है।

9. परमेश्वर जिस की सेवा मैं अपनी आत्मा से उसके पुत्रा के सुसमाचार के विषय में करता हूं, वही मेरा गवाह है; कि मैं तुम्हें किस प्रकार लगातार स्मरण करता रहता हूं।

9. For God is a witnesse to me, to whom Y serue in my spirit, in the gospel of his sone,

10. और नित्य अपनी प्रार्थनाओं में बिनती करता हूं, कि किसी रीति से अब भी तुम्हारे पास आने को मेरी यात्रा परमेश्वर की इच्छा से सुफल हो।

10. that with outen ceessyng Y make mynde of you euere in my preieris, and biseche, if in ony maner sum tyme Y haue a spedi weie in the wille of God to come to you.

11. क्योंकि मै। तुम से मिलने की लालसा करता हूं, कि मैं तुम्हें कोई आत्मिक बरदान दूं जिस से तुम स्थिर हो जाओ।

11. For Y desire to se you, to parten sumwhat of spiritual grace,

12. अर्थात् यह, कि मैं तुम्हारे बीच में होकर तुम्हारे साथ उस विश्वास के द्वारा जो मुझ में, और तुम में है, शान्ति पाऊं।

12. that ye be confermyd, that is, to be coumfortid togidere in you, bi feith that is bothe youre and myn togidere.

13. और हे भाइयों, मैं नहीं चाहता, कि तुम इस से अनजान रहो, कि मैं ने बार बार तुम्हारे पास आना चाहा, कि जैसा मुझे और अन्यजातियों में फल मिला, वैसा ही तुम में भी मिले, परन्तु अब तक रूका रहा।

13. And, britheren, Y nyle, that ye vnknowun, that ofte Y purposide to come to you, and Y am lett to this tyme, that Y haue sum fruyt in you, as in othere folkis.

14. मैं यूनानियों और अन्यभाषियों का और बुद्धिमानों और निर्बुद्धियों का कर्जदान हूं।

14. To Grekis and to barberyns, to wise men and to vnwise men,

15. सो मैं तुम्हें भी जो रोम में रहते हो, सुसमाचार सुनाने को भरसक तैयार हूं।

15. Y am dettour, so that that is in me is redi to preche the gospel also to you that ben at Rome.

16. क्योंकि मैं सुसमाचार से नहीं लजाता, इसलिये कि वह हर एक विश्वास करनेवाले के लिये, पहिले तो यहूदी, फिर यूनानी के लिये उद्धार के निमित्त परमेश्वर की सामर्थ है।

17. क्योंकि उस में परमेश्वर की धार्मिकता विश्वास से और विश्वास के लिये प्रगट होती है; जैसा लिखा है, कि विश्वास से धर्मी जन जीवित रहेगा।।

18. परमेश्वर का क्रोध तो उन लोगों की सब अभक्ति और अधर्म पर स्वर्ग से प्रगट होता है, जो सत्य को अधर्म से दबाए रखते हैं।

18. as it is writun, For a iust man lyueth of feith. For the wraththe of God is schewid fro heuene on al vnpite and wickidnesse of tho men, that withholden the treuthe of God in vnriytwisnes.

19. इसलिये कि परमशॆवर के विषय में ज्ञान उन के मनों में प्रगट है, क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने उन पर प्रगट किया है।

19. For that thing of God that is knowun, is schewid to hem, for God hath schewid to hem.

20. क्योंकि उसके अनदेखे गुण, अर्थात् उस की सनातन सामर्थ, और परमेश्वरत्व जगत की सृष्टि के समय से उसके कामों के द्वारा देखने में आते है, यहां तक कि वे निरूत्तर हैं।

21. इस कारण कि परमेश्वर को जानने पर भी उन्हों ने परमेश्वर के योग्य बड़ाई और धन्यवाद न किया, परन्तु व्यर्थ विचार करने लगे, यहां तक कि उन का निर्बुद्धि मन अन्धेरा हो गया।

21. For whanne thei hadden knowe God, thei glorifieden hym not as God, nether diden thankyngis; but thei vanyschiden in her thouyts, and the vnwise herte of hem was derkid.

22. वे अपने आप को बुद्धिमान जताकर मूर्ख बन गए।

25. क्योंकि उन्हों ने परमेश्वर की सच्चाई को बदलकर झूठ बना डाला, और सृष्टि की उपासना और सेवा की, न कि उस सृजनहार की जो सदा धन्य है। आमीन।।

26. इसलिये परमशॆवर ने उन्हें नीच कामनाओं के वश में छोड़ दिया; यहां तक कि उन की स्त्रियों ने भी स्वाभाविक व्यवहार को, उस से जो स्वभाव के विरूद्ध है, बदल डाला।

27. वैसे ही पुरूष भी स्त्रियों के साथ स्वाभाविक व्यवहार छोड़कर आपस में कामातुर होकर जलने लगे, और पुरूषों ने पुरूषों के साथ निर्लज्ज काम करके अपने भ्रम का ठीक फल पाया।।

28. और जब उन्हों ने परमेश्वर को पहिचानना न चाहा, इसलिये परमेश्वर ने भी उन्हें उन के निकम्मे मन पर छोड़ दिया; कि वे अनुचित काम करें।

28. And as thei preueden that thei hadden not God in knowyng, God bitook hem in to a repreuable wit, that thei do tho thingis that ben not couenable; that thei ben fulfillid with al wickidnesse,

29. सो वे सब प्रकार के अधर्म, और दुष्टता, और लोभ, और बैरभाव, से भर गए; और डाह, और हत्या, और झगड़े, और छल, और ईर्षा से भरपूर हो गए, और चुगलखोर।

29. malice, fornycacioun, coueitise, weiwardnesse, ful of enuye, mansleyngis, strijf, gile, yuel wille, preuy bacbiteris, detractouris,

30. बदनाम करनेवाले, परमेश्वर के देखने में घृणित, औरों का अनादर करनेवाले, अभिमानी, डींगमार, बुरी बुरी बातों के बनानेवाले, माता पिता की आज्ञा न माननेवाले।

30. hateful to God, debateris, proude, and hiy ouer mesure, fynderis of yuele thingis, not obeschynge to fadir and modir,

31. निर्बुद्धि, विश्वासघाती, मयारहित और निर्दय हो गए।

31. vnwise, vnmanerli, withouten loue, withouten boond of pees, with outen merci.

32. वे तो परमेश्वर की यह विधि जानते हैं, कि ऐसे ऐसे काम करनेवाले मुत्यु के दण्ड के योग्य हैं, तौभी न केवल आप ही ऐसे काम करते हैं, बरन करनेवालों से प्रसन्न भी होते हैं।।

32. The whiche whanne thei hadden knowe the riytwisnesse of God, vndirstoden not, that thei that don siche thingis ben worthi the deth, not oneli thei that don tho thingis, but also thei that consenten to the doeris.
