1. उस समय यीशु सब्त के दिन खेतों में से होकर जा रहा था, और उसके चेलों को भूख लगी, सो वे बालें तोड़ तोड़कर खाने लगे।

1. At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. And His disciples were hungry, and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.

2. फरीसियों ने यह देखकर उस से कहा, देख तेरे चेले वह काम कर रहे हैं, जो सब्त के दिन करना उचित नहीं।

2. And when the Pharisees saw [it,] they said to Him, 'Look, Your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath!'

3. उस ने उन से कहा; क्या तुम ने नहीं पढ़ा, कि दाऊद ने, जब वह और उसके साथी भूखे हुए तो क्या किया?

3. But He said to them, 'Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him:

4. वह क्योंकर परमेश्वर के घर में गया, और भेंट की रोटियां खाईं, जिन्हें खाना न तो उसे और उसके साथियों को, पर केवल याजकों को उचित था?

4. 'how he entered the house of God and ate the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?

5. या तुम ने व्यवस्था में नहीं पढ़ा, कि याजक सब्त के दिन मन्दिर में सब्त के दिन के विधि को तोड़ने पर भी निर्दोष ठहरते हैं।

5. 'Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?

6. पर मैं तुम से कहता हूं, कि यहां वह है, जो मन्दिर से भी बड़ा है।

6. 'Yet I say to you that in this place there is [One] greater than the temple.

7. यदि तुम इस का अर्थ जानते कि मैं दया से प्रसन्न हूं, बलिदान से नहीं, तो तुम निर्दोष को दोषी न ठहराते।

7. 'But if you had known what [this] means, 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless.

8. मनुष्य का पुत्रा तो सब्त के दिन का भी प्रभु है।।

8. 'For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.'

9. वहां से चलकर वह उन की सभा के घर में आया।

9. Now when He had departed from there, He went into their synagogue.

10. और देखो, एक मनुष्य था, जिस का हाथ सूखा हुआ था; और उन्हों ने उस पर दोष लगाने के लिेय उस से पूछा, कि क्या सब्त के दिन चंगा करना उचित है?

10. And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, 'Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?' -- that they might accuse Him.

11. उस ने उन से कहा; तुम में ऐसा कौन है, जिस की एक भेड़ हो, और वह सब्त के दिन गड़हे में गिर जाए, तो वह उसे पकड़कर न निकाले?

11. Then He said to them, 'What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift [it] out?

12. भला, मनुष्य का मूल्य भेड़ से कितना बढ़ कर है; इसलिये सब्त के दिन भलाई करना उचित है: तब उस ने उस मनुष्य से कहा, अपना हाथ बढ़ा।

12. 'Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.'

13. उस ने बढ़ाया, और वह फिर दूसरे हाथ की नाई अच्छा हो गया।

13. Then He said to the man, 'Stretch out your hand.' And he stretched [it] out, and it was restored as whole as the other.

14. तब फरीसियों ने बाहर जाकर उसके विरोध में सम्मति की, कि उसे किस प्रकार नाश करें?

14. Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.

15. यह जानकर यीशु वहां से चला गया; और बहुत लागे उसके पीछे हो लिये; और उस ने सब को चंगा किया।

15. But when Jesus knew [it,] He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.

16. और उन्हें चिताया, कि मुझे प्रगट न करना।

16. Yet He warned them not to make Him known,

17. कि जो वचन यशायाह भविष्यद्वक्ता के द्वारा कहा गया था, वह पूरा हो।

17. that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

18. कि देखो, यह मेरा सेवक है, जिसे मैं ने चुना है; मेरा प्रिय, जिस से मेरा मन प्रसन्न है: मैं अपना आत्मा उस पर डालूंगा; और वह अन्यजातियों को न्याय का समाचार देगा।

18. 'Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He will declare justice to the Gentiles.

19. वह न झगड़ा करेगा, और न धूम मचाएगा; और न बाजारों में कोई उसका शब्द सुनेगा।

19. He will not quarrel nor cry out, Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.

20. वह कुचले हुए सरकण्डे को न तोड़ेगा; और धूआं देती हुई बत्ती को न बुझाएगा, जब तक न्याय को प्रबल न कराए।

20. A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench, Till He sends forth justice to victory;

21. और अन्यजातियां उसके नाम पर आशा रखेंगी।

21. And in His name Gentiles will trust.'

22. तब लोग एक अन्धे- गूंगे को जिस में दुष्टात्मा थी, उसके पास लाए; और उस ने उसे अच्छा किया; और वह गूंगा बोलने और देखने लगा।

22. Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.

23. इस पर सब लोग चकित होकर कहने लगे, यह क्या दाऊद की सन्तान का है?

23. And all the multitudes were amazed and said, 'Could this be the Son of David?'

24. परन्तु फरीसियों ने यह सुनकर कहा, यह तो दुष्टात्माओं के सरदार शैतान की सहायता के बिना दुष्टात्माओं को नहीं निकालता।

24. Now when the Pharisees heard [it] they said, 'This [fellow] does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.'

25. उस ने उन के मन की बात जानकर उन से कहा; जिस किसी राज्य में फूट होती है, वह उजड़ जाता है, और कोई नगर या घराना जिस में फूट होती है, बना न रहेगा।

25. But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: 'Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

26. और यदि शैतान ही शैतान को निकाले, तो वह अपना ही विरोधी हो गया है; फिर उसका राज्य क्योंकर बना रहेगा?

26. 'If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

27. भला, यदि मैं शैतान की सहायता से दुष्टात्माओं को निकालता हूं, तो तुम्हारे वंश किस की सहायता से निकालते हैं? इसलिये वे ही तुम्हारा न्याय चुकाएंगे।

27. 'And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast [them] out? Therefore they shall be your judges.

28. पर यदि मैं परमेश्वर के आत्मा की सहायता से दुष्टात्माओं को निकालता हूं, तो परमेश्वर का राज्य तुम्हारे पास आ पहुंचा है।

28. 'But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.

29. या क्योंकर कोई मनुष्य किसी बलवन्त के घर में घुसकर उसका माल लूट सकता है जब तक कि पहिले उस बलवन्त को न बान्ध ले? और तब वह उसका घर लूट लेगा।
यशायाह 49:24

29. 'Or how can one enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.

30. जो मेरे साथ नहीं, वह मेरे विरोध में है; और जो मेरे साथ नहीं बटोरता, वह बिथराता है।

30. 'He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

31. इसलिये मैं तुम से कहता हूं, कि मनुष्य का सब प्रकार का पाप और निन्दा क्षमा की जाएगी, पर आत्मा की निन्दा क्षमा न की जाएगी।

31. ' Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy [against] the Spirit will not be forgiven men.

32. जो कोई मनुष्य के पुत्रा के विरोध में कोई बात कहेगा, उसका यह अपराध क्षमा किया जाएगा, परन्तु जो कोई पवित्राआत्मा के विरोध में कुछ कहेगा, उसका अपराध न तो इस लोक में और न परलोक में क्षमा किया जाएगा।

32. 'Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the [age] to come.

33. यदि पेड़ को अच्छा कहो, तो उसके फल को भी अच्छा कहो; या पेड़ को निकम्मा कहो; क्योंकि पेड़ फल ही से पहचाना जाता है।

33. ' Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by [its] fruit.

34. हे सांप के बच्चों, तुम बुरे होकर क्योंकर अच्छी बातें कह सकते हो? क्योंकि जो मन में भरा है, वही मुंह पर आता है।

34. 'Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

35. भला, मनुष्य मन के भले भण्डार से भली बातें निकालता है; और बुरा मनुष्य बुरे भण्डार से बुरी बातें निकालता है।

35. 'A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

36. और मै तुम से कहता हूं, कि जो जो निकम्मी बातें मनुष्य कहेंगे, न्याय के दिन हर एक बात का लेखा देंगे।

36. 'But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.

37. क्योंकि तू अपनी बातों के कारण निर्दोष और अपनी बातों ही के कारण दोषी ठहराया जाएगा।।

37. 'For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.'

38. इस पर कितने शास्त्रियों और फरीसियों ने उस से कहा, हे गुरू, हम तुझ से एक चिन्ह देखना चाहते हैं।

38. Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, 'Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.'

39. उस ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, कि इस युग के बुरे और व्यभिचारी लोग चिन्ह ढूंढ़ते हैं; परन्तु यूनुस भविष्यद्वक्ता के चिन्ह को छोड़ कोई और चिन्ह उन को न दिया जाएगा।

39. But He answered and said to them, 'An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

40. यूनुस तीन राज दिन जल जन्तु के पेट में रहा, वैसे ही मनुष्य का पुत्रा तीन रात दिन पृथ्वी के भीतर रहेगा।
योना 1:17

40. 'For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

41. नीनवे के लोग न्याय के दिन इस युग के लोगों के साथ उठकर उन्हें दोषी ठहराएंगे, क्योंकि उन्हों ने यूनुस का प्रचार सुनकर, मन फिराया और देखो, यहां वह है जो यूनुस से बड़ा है।

41. 'The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah [is] here.

42. दक्खिन की रानी न्याय के दिन इस युग के लोगों के साथ उठकर उन्हें दोषी ठहराएगी, क्योंकि वह सुलैमान का ज्ञान सुनने के लिये पृथ्वी की छोर से आई, और देखो, यहां वह है जो सुलैमान से भी बड़ा है।

42. 'The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon [is] here.

43. जब अशुद्ध आत्मा मनुष्य में से निकल जाती है, तो सूखी जगहों में विश्राम ढूंढ़ती फिरती है, और पाती नहीं।

43. ' When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.

44. तब कहती है, कि मैं अपने उसी घर में जहां से निकली थी, लौट जाऊंगी, और आकर उसे सूना, झाड़ा- बुहारा और सजा सजाया पाती है।

44. 'Then he says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when he comes, he finds [it] empty, swept, and put in order.

45. तब वह जाकर अपने से और बुरी सात आत्माओं को अपने साथ ले आती है, और वे उस में पैठकर वहां वास करती है, और उस मनुष्य की पिछली दशा पहिले से भी बुरी हो जाती है; इस युग के बुरे लोगों की दशा भी ऐसी ही होगी।

45. 'Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last [state] of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.'

46. जब वह भीड़ से बातें कर ही रहा था, तो देखो, उस की माता और भाई बाहर खड़े थे, और उस से बातें करना चाहते थे।

46. While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him.

47. किसी ने उस से कहा; देख तेरी माता और तेरे भाई बाहर खड़े हैं, और तुझ से बातें करना चाहते हैं।

47. Then one said to Him, 'Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.'

48. यह सुन उस ने कहनेवाले को उत्तर दिया; कौन है मेरी माता?

48. But He answered and said to the one who told Him, 'Who is My mother and who are My brothers?'

49. और कौन है मेरे भाई? और अपने चेलों की ओर अपना हाथ बढ़ा कर कहा; देखो, मेरी माता और मेरे भाई ये हैं।

49. And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, 'Here are My mother and My brothers!

50. क्योंकि जो कोई मेरे स्वर्गीय पिता की इच्छा पर चले, वही मेरा भाई और बहिन और माता है।।

50. 'For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.'
